The Gardener Bug where you calling one and appears hundreds of them, nahh that was scary. Or the unstoppable birth, where the mother gives birth to many-many-many-may babies.

Idk if it is spooky or not, but I have a mod that makes it possible to inherit life states. Maybe I downloaded wrong, but the thing is that all the times one of the babies (my sim had twins) do any vampire anymations, it was buggy. I made her grown up with mods, now she's a teen, but only her face and eyes are vampire like, her skintone in the rest of the body is pretty normal. One thing is sure, the first time I saw her doing the hissing while toddler was freaky af.
Probably not really spooky, maybe that was because of mods or cheats, but sometimes when i send friends of my sims to uni, they were young adults who had the "growing up" aspiration and it was just a mash-up of different aspirations, like romantic/wealth/etc
Also not that creepy , but i had a family with a woman and her kids, who've never actually met their fater, their mother married another man and kids reacted as if she was cheating on their fathers they've never met and their relationships with mother went all the way to -100, and when i sent those kids to a uni, they had the regular animation of their fathers accompanying them to uni, but after this their fathers still did not appear in the relationship tab

When I was young, I was playing the sims 2 really late at night and my sim who was mopping a puddle suddenly stopped in its tracks, looked right into the camera(so right at me), it's eyes got really wide like a surprised facial expression, and it's mouth opened and just kept opening until it was down to its chest.. I was so scared I opened the task manager and closed the game!! I have never been able to recreate it or find any evidence of it happening to anyone else online

i had the same thing a few times! but it was never scary to me, i thought sim just yawned xD as i remember, sometimes they can look at the player, breaking the 4th wall, maybe this yawning is just some.. form of it? but usually sims do that when they have nothing to do anymore, so that's quite strange.

In the sims 2 the 4th wall thing when your sims stare up at the camera occasionally. I always found that beyond creepy especially when they did it at night.
Didnt help at that time I was into creepypasta and it looked like something out of a cursed game to me.
That was my favorite part. I would sometimes wave at them like a moron. XD

That happens to me in my Sims 3 sometimes. It's horrifying.
I liked that! Especially when shy sims look at you when you send them off to be social.
I once had a creepy bug in my gameplay. My butler was carrying the baby to feed them and his working day ended and he said he is leaving, but he still had a baby in his hands. He left the lot with them and my baby sim just never returned even when the butler came back the next morning. It got me pretty stressed and shocked as a kid.

It happened to me too! But with a puppy and my sim's landlord. I was able to get the puppy back by forceing an error with cheats. My sim even became enemies with the landlord 🤣

In my game it happened with a teddy bear. A guest at a party just merged it into his belly and when the party was over he just took it with him and it was never seen again... I guess it served him right, I hate when at parties they all gather in the kid's room and don't leave the teddy bear alone!
That bug happened with a nanny to me. Luckily, I figured out that if I sell the doors, she´ll put the baby down and get upset that she´s locked in. That way, I could rescue my sim baby.

The scariest thing that has ever happened in my game was when one of my sim's adult kids just straight up disappeared without a trace. What happened was, I had my sim invite their adult son over for like, a family reunion or something, and he just didn't show up. When I went to check on his family, he wasn't there either. He was alive and he still existed in the family tree, relationships panel, and neighborhood view, but in live mode, he was just... gone.
It was probably a symptom of neighborhood corruption, but this was at a time when I didn't even know that that was a thing, so I was under the terrifying impression that sims could just get kidnapped on their way to a neighbor's house.

The mysterious choking death was so scary when I was younger, I used to only have the base game and I remember pregnant sims would often die by disease randomly even though they didn't have one. I think it was the game mixing up morning sickness with death by disease

The pregnant sim death bug SCARRED my 9 year old self! I used to play the game with my best friend and when our first pregnant sim died, it was YEARS before we had another sim get pregnant.

the deleting graves thing is so iconic, one time i downloaded an altered version of strangetown where all of olives victims were turned into zombies and because the graves werent there the words 'DONT PANIC' were written into the grass
also shoutout to when the matchmaker sent me up with a service sim and i just screamed FORCE ERROR at my computer
Any service sim that is not the Tour Guide, Repo Man, or Social Worker are fine, though some may show glitchy behavior

Strangetown was actually the hood maxis used to playtest so it's the most corrupted of them all. I heard there was a bug in base game that made strangetown's grim reaper female when its supposed to be genderless

It isn't exactly spooky, but when I was young, whenever I played the Sims 2 pet stories, there was a pre-made family I played that had a weird glitch on the lot where I could summon some strange NPC's. I didn't have any cheats or any mods, I would just click on the floor and I could summon them. One of them was a cat named Benji, who acted like an adult male sim and whenever I spawned him he became apart of the family. However everytime I left the lot would reset to the beginning. I have never been able to recreate this again or found anyone who had the same experience.

One time, I resurrected Lyla Grunt in Strangetown, because I wanted to reunite her with her family. Imagine my surprise when Lyla and General Buzz had babies (twins!), both with that glitched face 9:00 Needless to say, exited without saving and never tried that again.
i literally did the same thing bc i wanted to "fix" the grunt and uhh... lyla's face looked like some corrupted cyborg stuff. needless to say i didn't continue that quest.
(btw i've had the glitchy faces for strangetown resurrections in both old games and uc games)
@@Staarchild97 they're corrupted, but if you download the clean templates they're fixed!!! (there are like. a LOT of sims with corrupted faces in base game)
I had no idea about the ghost children spawning NPCs :o That's really freaky!
I just realized how tamed the Sims 4 is compared to the past versions.
I used to be soooo scared to play the Sims 2 and 3 and also the PSP RPG Sims 2 one. Even up go this day.
OMG i remember when the service sims would spawn like crazy! One time i kept them, i added a heap of beds to the basement and my sim made them meals XD

I have had pleasantview version Bella Goth come to my lot to pick up my ghost sim child multiple times. I was shook, it was her face template and everything. And she came straight into the house without knocking to play poker I was like :o
The child sim died from stargazing looking at a meteorite so I was pretty shook in general that day. Last thing I expected was Bella Goth, I searched endlessly online and didn't see this happening to anyone
She's also in the Default bin, so that makes sense!
This actually happened to me once after I drowned my Sim’s children (they were annoying so they gotta go lolol) and both Bella Goth and the Witch Doctor would come and use my computer and just do other random stuff.
But I have a question: does the townies come to your house when there's no other adults to "take care" of the ghost children (being at work for example)?
@@francescaicaza5148 it would happen at nighttime, so no. The adults were home. I wish I could reference the file again or record a video but it was on a laptop that's broken now so RIP. I could try again though and see what's up and if pleasantview child ghost sims would trigger bella again. I think this is because like the video says, a sim from the same "family" needs to pick up, so the game treats death as the "default" family
Another one that would pick up the kids was crumplebottom lol
EDIT: also more than it just being nighttime, there were 2 other alive child sims (since it was a total accident) that were the siblings which were still alive, and they were chilling at home so... parents were around!
Death by meteorite did not exist in the Sims 2. You must have confused Death by Satellite 🛰️ (which was in TS2) with this
2:43 Fun fact about the empty faces template: most of Olive´s family tree has that same empty face too, you can already tell in 7:00 that is not good idea to resurrect them at all.
4:30 Children ghost were not suppossed to exist. Developers set up the social worker to pick them whenever things got bad, so they were never meant to die in the game. However, poor developers never told how twisted some players can be.

The first glitch is like if you said to yourself "I need to work on self care" and someone who looked exactly like you showed up at your front door yelling "CARE ABOUT ME"

Many years ago I had a glitch that removed the texture of my Sim's skin. It was pure white with text all over him, though I can't remember what the text was. I was super spooked and deleted them, never figured out what it was. Didn't have any mods or CC.

I think this may happen if your save gets corrupted! At least the text thing happens with some objects bc of corrupted neighborhoods but idk about sim's skin texture
Well, honestly what scares me is those gravestone noises that play during nighttime when ghosts can roam, even when no ghost comes out there.
Its actually an ambience music effect in the game, it only happens when you have multiple gravestones in a lot

I’m really glad to see that the sims 2 community is still alive and well. I have entire political and interfamilial struggles within the head canon of my sims 2 neighbourhood lol 😂 it’s just such a rewarding and enjoyable experience to pour time into

I remember corrupting the game via cheatcodes and slowly every sim in my game started to delete one by one. You could know the household was about to be deleted when the sims names changed to some weird code.

BTW, regarding glitched faces from 9:12, I saw a video by MONI, titled "Sims 2 Corruption: Lyla Grunt’s Face Distortion" where she caught one of those creepy faces on camera - so I guess you can still get them, if you really try :O

I think creepy things happen all the time in my game. I play on an old laptop and because of bad graphics/slow processor my sims' faces disappear in their potraits or when I change their appearance.
I also had a child sim die in a fire once and I moved their tomb quickly because I knew the game wasn't supposed to have dead children so something would be up.

My sims’ kid died in the sea while I wasn’t looking at her (dunno how, she had stats high) and with her ghost those npcs started coming. I recalled your video about glitched ghosts, but not npc’s. I didn’t know why, guess that’s the part I forgot)))
3:10 No. They appear as eyes used in skin replacement. I know that with Leh's skins (DeeDee uses those) "empty" eyes are blue. Maxis skins and your skin replacement uses Maxis brown eyes as base. I'm not sure how it looks when skin replacement have blank space in place where should be eyes
Also that's why the eyes don't move. Because they're part of skin
I once had dr skins with white squares instead of eyes. Looked extremely creepy
You sure? Because all the corrupted Sims on the Wiki have brown eyes, not blue.
With those skin the eyes appear pure black, kinda like the alien one but without the white "thing"

I had the Children Ghost Glitch when a fire broke out on my lot killing 3 Family Members and The Maid, it was pretty bad...

Early on when I first had the game I had a glitch where the nanny decided not to go home. The car never came for her. Because I was new at the game, and playing the Curious family, so three adults and two toddlers, I didn't realize at first what was happening. The next day a new nanny shows up and the van does not leave. Now I have two nannies, one wandering around in her nightgown complaining about not being able to get into the shower! The next day another van and another nanny shows up! I was so new to the game I didn't know about any of the cheats yet, either, and I didn't know how to get rid of them. the only interactions available was 'talk' and 'shoo'. Finally I ran out of groceries and I had them call to deliver groceries. The van pulls up, guy gets out, and just stands in the street. My sims are starving to death and there's food right across the street and nobody can interact with the delivery person! I wound up restarting the whole thing!
A couple of times I've had a problem where someone won't leave the lot even though they're supposed to go to work/school. They walk to the edge of the sidewalk and then complain about not being able to walk there. At least, by then I knew how to delete a sim and bring them back. That seemed to fix them.
That issue with the nannies happened to me with the Curious family too!
I’ve had issues with hiring nannies for the Curious family too. The nanny got caught in this endless loop of getting bottles for the baby and then putting them on the floor

2:22 I recently had one in Ottomas family (The dad one). he had the cheap computer as his hat for some wild reason. also, Alexander Goth had stinky diapers on his head several times in my game.
Fun fact: the OFB Uniform glitch also affected some dead premades who have incomplete character data. That's why so many ghosts on the Specter lot have brown eyes and no eyebrows.
Oh my gosh! Speaking of Juno Birch, the OFB outfit glitch happened in one of her most recent videos and I had no idea what she was talking about! It’s so cool I’m still learning things about this crazy game we play!

When I didn't know much about corruption (and I was hella corrupting my game everyday), I was creating a big family with tons of sims all over the neighborhood, but one day when I launched the game, all my pets, babies, toddlers and children had disappeared. Teens, adults and elders had their life bar reset to the first day of their life stage, and they were all said to be adults, even if they still looked like teens and elders. Also, all family flags were erased, and they all said to be the only sim in their family trees, so they could perform all interactions, even romantic, with each other, even though they were parent-child. It was very spooky, but also very sad because my game was ruined :(

, hidden townie from Bluewater Village from _The Sims 2: Open For Business_ expansion pack! Hidden, because she isn't placed in the townie pool as seen in SimPE. She's so glitched, as she looks like child, but is treated as an adult & that's why she flies while walking (She's also treated as male instead of female), so that's maybe why she's supposed to be hidden in the game! Actually cool to know she can appear in the game :P

I’ve been playing this game since release and most of the things you talk about are new to me.
This unlocked a memory wherein my Sims (on several occasions) went to bed and the game refused to let them wake up. They just would never wake up. Ever again. It was especially devastating when it happened to a family I'd been playing with for in-game years (and I was a child so I didn't understand reloading an old save). Looking back, this might have been my game being corrupted, but it used to scare me.
8:59 Yo, I actually recently had this glitch and was so spooked out! But it has nothing to do with resurrection, to me it happened to Jennifer Burb when she came back from work. Before that I had John grow up their baby into a toddler and the game froze pretty badly during that. I guess it has something to do with graphics card...? It fixed itself after a few in-game minutes, Jennifer's featuers just kinda morphed back into what they are supposed to look like. It also affected her hair, like it was really stretched on one side. I don't know why I didn't make a creenshot of that :(

I wish you talked about the clip at the end, when and why sims have this weird "look at player" camera animation. It always freaked me out as a kid. I thought it was a glitch, but apparently it's written into the game.
Sims do that when they have nothing left to do and are looking towards the player for guidance.

13:00 Actually in my Strangetown Loki Beaker became a vampire-plantsim and it wasn't so much challenging. I used a Weathernaught 57X to make raining all the time and he could spent outside almost all day xD

Two things in the Sims 2 that really creeped me out are when the tombstones outside made those creepy noises and I even put an urn on a table and put the table outside and the urn made creepy noises! Also the ghosts in my game would always have their mouths hanging open which I found really creepy.
I can count on my fingers how many of that I knew. Some of those glitches are reaaally creepy but so interesting at the same time. I love the skeleton and Slenderman xD

Only creepy because of the context of the gameplay we were doing. My stepdaughter and I made a house and family which included a few non-related potential love interests for the teenage guy in the family. We had him briefly date one girl who we decided wasn't the one for him after all, so as usual we went to delete her.... then she walked back on the lot. Okay, glitch(?) or something, whatever, tried again. She returned again. And again and again. So we tried to kill her with cheats, tried to close her off and starve her to death, reset her and tried deleting again, aged her and tried to have her get on computer to move out. She wasn't. Going. Anywhere. So for us it was eerie and felt like she was in the game saying "you will NEVER get rid of meeeee and separate me from MY MAN, MUHAHHAHAA" it really freaked us out and I am still curious wtf happened. Has otherwise never happened to me before since the original game came out forever ago. She interacted, ate, everything was normal so she wasn't an object.
I almost had no mods in the sims 2 , just had cc for hair or skin and in the sims 4 i have so much mods to make the game enjoyable. says a lot

This video is like nearly 5 months old, but I just realised: the way to get the glitchy faces on resurrected Strangetown sims is to change their appearance in the mirror a few times. You have to change something about the sim ie hair or makeup for it to register, but after a few times, you'll see the glitchy faces. You can even have them produce children, and most of the time the children will end up with glitchy faces too! I'd love to see a series of you doing everything you can to corrupt a save, it'd be fun to watch how badly it breaks things haha.
