My current neighborhood had a serial killer. I finally killed him myself with cheats. He was a glitched butler that I moved into a family because he would just throw errors so I wanted him to stop having the job. He would then constantly visit my families, leave food in their stoves, and leave. He got up to a kill count of about 5 before I was so done with his shenanigans that I forced him to die
I'm afraid that's normal for moved in butlers 😂 Unless it was Jack Thomasson in both our games and he's actually glitched? Doubt it though, NPCs with behaviors usually do weird stuff while playable and it includes going to neighbors' homes in many cases. But my butler would just cook for them, not play with fire 😬

I want more similar episodes! You have such an overpopulated Pleasantview that death of this few sims is too little xD
In case you want to want to continue to avoid overpopulation in the future too. You could also add random generators for which Sims die or roll for type of deaths. That way you may have ghosts with colors you never had before.
In case you don't want death you could also make infertility rolls for you Sims with a basic chance and an additional chance for when Sims give birth.
Personally I hate to "force" my Sims to limit the amount of children they can have because there are large families in real life with 4+ children and I like to play such families.
I just don't make them 6 kids anymore, that's enough 😅 I have a children number rule based on aspirations and it's max 3 unless twins. This Pleasantview is nearly 10 years old, I've had enough time to find ways for population control, but thanks 😆
In my neighborhoods I've ended up just setting my ACR casual woohoo % to 10% and turning the autonomous TFB off, then it's completely random as to whether or not any of the families have kids. The average has worked out to about 2-3 kids per household, but there are some that just never have kids.

I did a similar thing with my own Pleasantview but with mostly younger sims so that there would be less kids in the next generation. Ended up accidentally eradicating all Goth descendants but finally had a reason to use Bella for something. Trying to match the survivers with each other was also super fun
Wow, nice! 😆 Well, I mostly just wanted less crowded families. For the kid situation some of my Sims just don't have them and that's all! Child free people are valid 🫡
The Monty household in my Veronaville save completely died/married off on accident. The bloodline was still there technically but the name Monty disappeared.
@@Marticore of course they are, I've had plenty of such couples. The problem was, in this generation there were many family sims and a few that, in my mind, would be expected to have kids at some point
honestly i wouldnt mind my apartment to be haunted if it was dirt cheap. the ghosts and i can share pasta if the landlord splits my rent in three

I remember watching the pleasantview video on your polish channel and during that I was like "there is no way in hell I'll remember all of those sims" and now when I'm watching this I'm like "Oh my god! this sim has to be of this and that sims' descendant, they look so similar!" and I feel I just found my new superpower, recognising Marticore's sims 2 sims 🤪
8:12. I remember using a cheat that makes you friend with everyone. Well, it makes the sims friend with everyone without actually knowing them and every single hour this happened but with like every sims in the neighborhood.

elders actually lose motives slower! i learned this during the time i had a bunch of sims living in a house together until they perished one by one, and the elders would always be the last remaining since their motives dropped slower
But being an elder is a factor for getting worse faster in sickness!
If you want to be able to take sick days at any time, not just an hour before the carpool arrives, or you want to just take a day off and stop the carpool from arriving, I would recommend the Duvet Days mod by Pick'N'Mix Sims Mods. It has become one of my absolute favourites. It goes nicely with another mod by the same creator called Shared PTO which allows Sims in the same household to share vacation days, which is particularly useful when you have working mothers and you want another Sim to use the vacation days they gained after giving birth.
In my Strangetown, I kind of miss Olive Specter; she gave me an excuse to just kill off any Sim I wanted to for story purposes. Maybe I can still kill Sims with fright on her lot and say that her ghost did it... could make for a fun storyline where paranormal investigators have to put her to rest.

As far as I know, you can call in sick when there's one hour left before carpool, before that this option isn't available.

My Veronaville save had a twin epidemic. Had to trim the family tree. It happens.
during pandemic times i would put eight sims in a house and then each day someone would be chosen by a spinning wheel to be eaten by the cowplant, between four or one would be chosen as the survivors and move on to the next round

whenever my hood feels too overpopulated I just cheat kill a few I dont really care about. I dont delete them cause usually they live with other sims i want to keep, so its just easier to kill them with cheats and delete their grave, problem gone. sometimes i think of a story reason for why they died but usually i just dont care because theyre boring sims
Won't the game force you to move those 2 gravestones you left in the soon to be appartment lot? (if you have that mod to select a cemetary i think it automatically prompts you to do it once it is a appartment lot, but i could be wrong)
Probably not. In Early Strangetown that I play, Daisy's late husband's grave is in the apartment building where she lives, I also forgot about it when I moved her out and it's still there!
They will randomly disappear at some point though

I have got a problem for Sims 2 Ultimate Collection. Few days ago I started the game and I didn't even save anything but today it's not working I got some error on screen. Game didn't start just EA launch opened and I tried start on launch but it didn't work. Sims 2 just in EA games launcher Origin isn't usefull anymore but I couldn't find config file and other things can you help about that what can I do?🙏🏻 It's not working I got some error on EA Games Launch screen "you can double click on game tiles to quickly launch a game" Please can you help me?🙏🏻

@@Marticore They'll be available in your choose a sim family section to play with and there might be an option to delete family.

@@Marticore What do you mean? Are you not wanting them to all live together? You can choose to move individual or duo sims out through phone or computer option, or evict whole household from the neighbourhood settings, then all wealth and value of house will go with them.
Why are you trying to educate me about basic options of the game? I play a whole neighborhood rotationally, every family evenly for the same number of days. They are all connected via family tree at this point, the whole hood. I can't have relatives seen as alive forever in the family tree after I sent them to the family bin or deleted them. Hilarious, random dieing except illness, lightning doesn´t occur as often as wished for. Sims 2 vertility, death at childbirth,n,mdangerous fire sickness realistic there´s n not a combined mod wich might occur more often ? Sims playing a real crowded meighbourhood take ages, wonder EA will come with a thrue multiplay in Sims 5, only drawback you have no control over your sims, but anyway that supposed not to be !
