When I was homeless I never asked anyone for anything.. lived in an abandoned house down north Philadelphia and applied at Walmart. Went to the interview having not had a shower in over two weeks, then thankfully got hired.. A friend found out where I was and came and brought me to his house for a week or two then I rented a room somewhere for $600/month. Had no credit or proof of income and my mom died out of no where, but it was my fault for not being prepared.
Can't tell you how good it felt to finally take a shower and change clothes. People like him, and a bunch of others helped by CZcamsrs, make homeless people look bad.

An important distinction I always check myself on is homeless people who made an honest mistake that fucked up their life are different from homeless people who have self- destructive habits and tendencies.
People think of homeless people as the latter generally. In my opinion atleast, I don't know how to determine which is which though atm

my dad spent most of his life behind bars up in NJ, he got released and ended up oding a week later. i remember from the calls and letters i'd get from him when i was younger he'd always tell me that he didn't see himself in a world outside of prison because he was in for so long. my dad was the main reason i took interest in APS because i never knew what he was going through so seeing your channel and the stuff you talk about gives me insight. when you are locked behind bars for that long you can't change what you've become, danny never changed he put on a show and extorted a lot of people.
Sorry brother, but they have no interest in helping men like your father, they just want to make money off our suffering & misery?. And make movies & mini series, while we're bleeding & barely breathing out here, looking for a cell to hide in, out here?. Think about that, a free man aching to be returned to a maximum security prison cell, how could that be possible, how could a prison cell be safer & more peaceful than the world??. But it becomes so, for so many men who are now lost to the world, lost to their families, their wives, mother's & their kids?. Their stories don't need to be told, it is no story, it's their life?. Your dad was a good man, he was your dad, don't let anybody tell you he was just a crim, a convict & a number, he was dad, a human being👍.

My experience with helping people like this is exactly what happened here. There's never "enough". Danny is headed bk to where he came from if he's still dealing with issues in the street. I'm sorry this happened to you. Consider it a lesson. You are a good guy. Forgive and move on..... 💜

I know a lot of people like Danny. I did 5 years in prison, years later after tons of hard work I became the top manager of a trucking company. I help a lot of ex convicts with jobs, sad to say though 95% cant stay out of the prison mentality on using people. Watching the 5% that make it though, makes it all worth it

I was suspicious of him because of the length of time he did, prison raised him. He's institutionalized & sometimes when you give people a whole lot & they didn't work for it or earn it they become ungrateful

oh yeah. The dude needed money, but didnt have it, so Joe put him on an allowance. So now hes getting a free check, and because of prison, believes that this is how it works in the real world.
Joe shoulda just gave him grocieries, instead of money, cus money can be addictive, a roof over his head (that apartment was luxury) and if Danny wants something more than food and a roof then he gotta work for it.

Theres always two sides, Danny made joe 100s of thousands so he probably felt entitled to more because Danny's videos put Joe in another higher pay bracket for views. It's a huge difference in pay from his usual 50k views to some at 1 or even 2 million views. Your talking 10s of thousands difference than what his usual videos make

Did he really change, or just get more comfortable? Watching the Banky videos has been a crazy contrast. He is pushing positivity, saying his choices put him there and we are responsible for our own happiness, but Danny always cried he was owed things.
The entire prison system is a dystopic nightmare, I'll give him that, but it's nice to see APS working with more positive people

Yea thats Danny. Fortunately not all criminals stay criminals. Watched my uncle do 30 yrs and he is now a full time worker great father and has food drives monthly for the less fortunate. He didn't change he just couldn't hide who he actually was anymore. Lifes taught me alot and one thing is that a bear is always a bear and though you might find that bear sick and hungry or wounded if you try to feed and nurse that bear back to health he will still be a bear and will maul and kill you because well he's a bear. Ive seen it many times and that's why you choose the ones you let in close to you and your family very very carefully.

Honestly, I started watching the show a couple years ago because of Danny. I found his story interesting. It's too bad things didn't work out. I wish you guys could reconcile and have a reunion, but understand it may be difficult to do that. The show must go on and it's awesome! Best

I’ve worked as a therapist with drug addicts, alcoholics and convicts for 30 years. Sad to tell you that quite a few have stolen from me, accused me of doing stuff, threatened me and thrown me under the bus in a big way.....it’s that prison mentality. I admit that I set myself up each and every time by trusting them or letting my guard down.

Despite Joe going through that rough time with Danny, Joe got something good out of it, or might receive some sort of devine greatness from it. I think this is all what he was saying, on a rough scale.

I just started watching you this week. And I've gotta say I love everything so far. I'm sure you are burnt out on that situation with him so instead of commenting on that, but saying I'm sorry also first off then I'll go on with what I want to day. There is a longer story but let me say I sacrificed my freedom for 3 kids I even gave up a re-enlistment and my career job to be a father to 3 kids that's are biologically not mine. Now I do not get stipends or assistance due to the fact I am not their biologically father. Just the law in my state. Anyway. I helped many of people in my time. Nothing big or major but everything I could possibly do I did do for them. Now I took these kids in and while trying to get my VA disability raised I've asked for help. And have got none of the help I need. Don't get me wrong some folks have helped with food or a few bucks here and there which is greatly appreciated. But not being able to get assistance like any other single father is what's hurt us. I bring in 441 month and yes that's what I support 2 kids on. The 3rd is now 21 and on his own. I understand how you feel because we are similar in some ways by being good people. Trying to do what we can whenever we can and even putting ourselves in a bad spot for other's. I'm an IT engineer and took up photography to try and keep us going. And it's been a pain in the ass let me tell you. And I hear this story of a man and he gets a great helping hand and a second chance but figured he would hurt the man that helped him and went out of his way in life to do so but got burnt even at the end while trying to put the fire out to keep helping that man. I gotta say you made my day. I started to think there wasn't any more good people out there until now. Thank you for being who you are and I sincerely mean that. You get a big Semper fi for what you have done and keep doing. I wish you the best man. You sincerely deserve it

Joe came w evidence against all Danny's claims. Joe isn't perfect, no one is. But Joe & many viewers did more for Danny then anyone including Danny's family. We got him to Boston 2 spend his 1st Christmas with his family. Before Joe & APS Danny was between a 3 day shelter and sleeping on the sand. And he had the nerve 2 say he dont give a f×ck about the ppl. The ppl who did for him when his own family wasn't doing anything for him. He would prob still be sleeping in the sand in Virginia or back in prison. He is an ungreatful, washed up, has been who should humble himself, come clean & apoligize cause he's wrong. A more generous explanation is that after 40 years he couldn't even read a road map of life after prison when it was handed to him. Whatever expectations he had were or became unreasonable.
APS and Joe - Joe I think you have learned a lot in your life ..... and grown to be a very decent person ... some people do not work for growth and do not care for decency or gratefulness .

Danny was always going to be mentally vulnerable after 40 years in prison. It's very easy to judge him for his ungratefulness at the money and help he has been given, but adapting to societal norms is a huge struggle. Nevertheless I wish Danny all the best and the 'After Prison Show'.
