While it is sad because he was addicted to substances and it got the better of him some people just can't keep their hands off of drugs and he probably ended up negatively impacting someone else even if it's mostly the addiction doing the behavior he got himself into the addiction by doing the drugs to begin with.
I will never forget that one guy who was living in a hotel he never took responsability for anything. Then he went to jail and Joe visited him in jail and he still was like I never did anything. But im a recovering addict i wish I would have had sombody like Joe to help me get on my feet when I got out of jail. But now iv been off probation for over 3 years. Bless this guy I pray he gets his health better. Most inmates need help.
I would love to see an episode where Joe tells us where everyone is that he’s featured on APS. Or at least everyone that he knows where they are or what they’re up to. Juman, banky, that guy that Joe would go visit in his garage and the guy liked to read books a lot. And all the other people. Rabbit, jarren and whoever else.

I remember Mike from APS. Loved his heart and energy. Good looking with a beautiful smile. We did become facebook friends. I enjoyed his posts. Brought tears to me about his struggles with addiction. Addiction is a BEAR. I think about my son who has struggles like Mike. Glad to hear Mike is leaning on his spiritual side. Very important. Hope my son will do this too. I will keep Mike and my son in prayers and send good vibes ♡

I heard the phrase "i fell victim to my addiction, im a man and i make my own decisions" "its always been my damn fault" To anyone out there.... and to myself i would encourage you so intensely to find a way out of that hole youre digging and just take some help that you dont want but need. like... im an addict, and im riding that line between self indulgence and pride...... this show helps. perspective makes a huge difference. Thanks man.
After 5, almost 6 years outta the bullshit, I can't even imagine myself going back to the drug lifestyle. The first few years were really bumpy and I felt weak. Now I am confident I will never go back. I have no old friends and I surround myself by positive people. I've had old friends reach out on social media and I just block them and moved away from my old city in 2017. You gotta do what you do to get your shit together.

over 40 years sobriety after 16 years addiction: 12 in and out of prisons and jails... who you hang around with makes you... when i got out of Teen Challenge i've only associated with few people in a close way. The bible is my best friend... Jesus.

I’m blessed to say I never been locked up or ever touched drugs just alcohol and weed on occasions but group homes and the foster system changed me at a young age been thru a rough childhood and definitely didn’t want to have a rough adulthood

I've been around since the how to make a prison tattoo gun, my mom met this dude who use to be a CO, and he was shocked about how much I knew about being locked up, dude legit thought I served time. I appreciate all the content Joe, keep it up man.

I know there are a lot of comments and you probably won’t see this but I figured I would throw it out there for you.
Joe, you are doing good work and trying your best to help folks. Your videos have expanded my knowledge on the US prison system and the actual people who are in it. I have found it fascinating and a great way to humanize the statistics as there are people behind each number. I feel for this guy and how he faces his struggle. I wish that there were better systems for people to overcome their struggles and not just get locked up.

His story touched my heart. Addiction is so dang powerful. It controls us, absolutely! My heart goes out to this young man. I prayed for him as soon as he started talking about God. I remember feeling similar to how she was explaining. I’ll keep him my prayers for sure. Thanks Joe for being his friend especially in tough dark times.

I think we, as a society, tend to write off people when they go to prison. We often forget that they will need support while inside and after they get out... and that support can be as little letting them know they're not alone.

The aps show gets me every time due to the fact that I come from the city of Albuquerque and out public school system is titled APS and that is exactly what I think of every time I see that acronym... love the show bro, keep up the good work.

I remember Corso… it’s to bad he fell right back into the lifestyle he was living before prison.
I’ll be honest when I read the title the first person I thought of was Rabbit.
But he was more than I guest he was family.
But it wouldn’t really surprise me if he went back behind the walls again or pushing up daisies.

If I remember right Joe kind of washed his hands of rabbit because he went back into addiction. And refused to stay in a rehab joe helped get him into. So joe tried to help him and got shit on for it. So he let rabbit go. Said he just doesn't need that kind of trouble around him.

Man it’s sad anytime someone loses their freedom, with that being said he had his chances to do right. I hope he does good and I hope the prison medical care doesn’t hurt him even worse. To get 15 he must of had a bad past and he probably messed up a few time to many. Good people sometimes get involved in bad shit, I wish him well and I hope he makes it out.
Anything that’s not violent, sex, or thieving related shouldn’t be in prison. This country is fucked up. How dare they call it the land of the free. End the drug war. They use it to get money off booth ends and lock up poor people.

I lost my child to addiction, addiction isn't no joke the judge gave my child 5 months instead of 5 years he was home 8 days and passed..I hope Corso stays straight and keeps that postive attuide..

I was arrested over two years ago & pled guilty in December of 2020 to a 922 (o) charge & my sentencing has been adjourned a bunch of times. It's crazy that you have no idea what your exact sentence is gonna be until the judge tells you. Mine is up to 10 years but my lawyer is thinking it'll be around 30 months.

He'll do about 10 with good behavior. Minus a year time served. Minus RDAP. He'll do about 7 years without first step act/second chance app.
He’s got fed time you hav to do 85% before he’s even eligible for parole
@@derekhelms825 feds dont have "parole" anymore. Havent in years. 87% is what you do with the 54 day a year good time reduction. If he does rdap itll knock a year off and get him 6 extra months halfway house (so get him out of prison 18 months sooner). You also gotta factor in his time served credit at this point. And of course if he qualifies for safety valve or 1st step act.

Hey Joe, wondering any updates on Corso, ran across this video from a while back. Just curious if you you have a way to do an update on him while he's doing his time... just curious what he's being doing while being in.
When you say $3 a day the jail charges each prisoner that ? How do they get that if the person doesn’t have any money ?

My local jail charged 10 dollars a day. If you dont pay it they put you back in jail for contempt.

@@KassidyGinn not to get out. To stay out. They can't stop you from getting out when your time is up. A few things can happen.
1. The money owed goes onto your fines and restitution. You make monthly payments on those. If you fail to make payments you get a contempt charge that could lead you back to jail.
2. The money rolls over and if you ever go back to jail you allready have an outstanding balance.
the system is built to keep people coming back. sad world we live in where rich people rather lock up millions just to make another buck. using drugs shouldnt be criminal. addicts are already killing themselves with their lifestyle and whatever trauma they are dealing with on top of that society is against them too. there are alot of scumbag addicts trust me i know but majority are good people who just got caught up and alot beat it but alot never will. someones life shouldnt be taken away because theyre using drugs. pedos get way less time then addicts its ridiculous

Corso was one of the people I kept in touch with before he got locked up. Messaged him often on Facebook. I feel both happy and sad about this update. I believe he is a good person. Maybe someday I will write him but right now I need to work on me.
You typically don't beat an addiction, you have to learn how to live with it.
