It's easy to watching liberals all day and get trapped into a collectivist mindset: it's harder to look outside that paradigm and see people for individuals, and all the great complexity that comes with that realization. People can choose to put themselves into boxes ("I'm a Democrat"), but without the depth of feeling that comes from philosophy and self-reflection, you are only left with a 2-dimensional personality, and very little character, to boot.

It seems odd to me to define "truthiness" as the belief in the questionable ideas. Rather, it seems like it's the ideas themselves that are lent a degree of "truthiness" by the fact that people believe them despite a lack of supporting evidence.
And if "truthiness" emerged from the George W. Bush-era sense that people were rejecting facts in favor of unfounded beliefs (which always is a part of human psychology), I think "post-truth" better reflects Donald Trump's campaign, in which bold lies were at times apparently unhindered by even the _pretense_ of truth, statements were freely backpedaled any time they didn't play well, etc.
