Totally accurate description.
That moment during the "Starring" phase where he hits you with all the anime tropes and you suddenly get nostalgic and remember the 12 of each type of character you've seen in literally anything.
The "Painfully Awkward Shy Girl with Bangs" hit especially hard because to be honest... that's one of my favorite character tropes. I can't get enough of those shy girls with bangs.

@Michael Lochlann correction: Character writing for sub-par anime and video games. There are good shows and games where the writers know what subtlety and 3dimensional character writing is, and that you can write deep characters even if they fit one of those niches.

I swear, several anime characters from other anime started popping in my head as he went through them.

I both love and hate that that basically sums things up.
I love the game, but yeah that sums up all the characters accurately. TV Tropes would have a field day with this game.

@Michael Lochlann I mean, you can say that about a lot of other works too outside of anime. Not saying anime isn't repetitive, I like it enough to know it repeats a lot of times, but it isn't the only guilty medium.

I finished yuitos campaign so far. I was plesently surprised by it, it kept my interest the whole way through. The story can get somewhat fuzzy sometimes, but always felt fresh and new. I never knew what was going to happen next. I am going to play the other campaign as well sometime.
Do it mate, it completes the story.
These are some gritty and super-detailed levels and enemies for a game where its main characters are designed with a really simplistic modern anime art style

Felt more like a statement. Nexus plays just like .Hack. and proves that the game style still works. Also, made by bandai. Which thinking about it. That's probably why the re-did G.U. to refresh themselves and expand on it with Nexus

Agreed. If you hate Origins, explain why. If you can't do that, then give it a fair shot. You might find that you enjoy it. I consider it to be up there with City.
Yeah, even if some people claim it's the worst in the Arkham series, it's still a great game in its own right. And it's probably the best Christmas game ever made.

@@darthknightwingphoenix2081 I don't hate it by any means, but it was my least favourite by virtue of the fact that I encountered soooooo many glitches 😩 It ruined my experience.

I actually enjoyed it all the way through (the critical strike skill combined with the shock gloves were pretty OP tho) but while I was doing a NG+ run it glitched and I kept falling through the floor. I had no other save slots and every time I tried to load up the game, I’d fall straight through the floor again. I literally couldn’t play it anymore
I do like that the incentive to bond with your teammates in your downtime is that it adds more skills and options to combat ala Persona.
My favourite part of the combat is when you get access to EIGHT different powers at the same time and have a lot of the extra skills unlocked. You can build some crazy long combos and it's fun experimenting with them all.
We need a trailer for the Dragon Age franchise

@@omnipotiscience7251 DAO has the best pacing, story themes, and impactful decisions, but its gameplay is horribly sluggish. Meanwhile, DAI has better gameplay mechanics with actual role defining skills, along with an arguably best crafting system in any western RPG (if only they can change the atrocious console style UI).
Also, I like how nobody ever mention DA2 in any conversation about Dragon Age.

The "Starring" part made way too much sense because as he was going through it I started to remember several anime with those character types.
I both love and hate that it can be decoded that much.
I love that right after the dot hack bit, i started laughing and only laughed harder when he told me to stop

The problem is what to do for a setting. At the end of G.U pt.4 they basically turned off The World servers. Would it be a new different game/ area all together like SAO? So many questions
@@eliteforce5 They could just do what they did with G.U and create a new version of The World. They'd need a good story and another real world threat to keep it interesting.

Dude I would KILL for another Dot Hack Game I still have all the ps2 copies from the Trilogy of Hack G.U and the 4 Dot Hack games the 3 OG in English but the 4th one was only ever released in Japan so I got it imported years ago

I never really played the .hack games, they look pretty cool tbf.
The original series consisted of 4 games, compared to todays standards it really outdated with a lot of gameplay problems but a great story and awesome worldbuilding. The sequel, .Hack GU consisted of 3 games and fixed a lot of these problems, there is a remaster of GU with a small 4th part added to conclude the story, it still has some outdated elements but it mostly has aged a lot better than the original series and the story and worldbuilding are just as good.
