Game's pretty dope. The demo was cranked to 11 on combat and SAS. It makes sense that the game starts on a minimal slate of abilities and combat prowess. The gameplay sticks the landing on the narrative arc of a cadet that just finished training. I'm excited to see where the rest of it goes. One of the better games to release this year without a doubt.

Well thanks for the video, I'm not sure it will help me get from really bad to OK though. Like why with the girl in the training mission are the monsters you have to hit while in the air so hard to kill? I mean they all die eventually but I don't know last time I thought you had to wait till they moved into a different position but that seemed to not be true, this time I figured maybe you have to first attack all of them once before any will die, not sure if that is the case but the fight seems to take way to long since the previous attacks the enemies basically instantly die. YES, playing on easy :) And I still got hosed by the other character and then later by the converted character :(

I just finished this game, 8 months after release. I"m not sure if this is a positive or a negative thing but the game didn't require much of a guide. The combat seem to just "click" at some point and the "bonding system" was very straight forward. Nothing terribly missable which most games should be imo. The only thing that holds this game back is the script. Goodness, is it awful. Character story development is just a wreck. Their relationships do not make sense. Yeah, sure...they are friends. But WHY?
And the biggest plot hole is the 2020 present timeline with an unaccounted fact that occurs 3000 years ago, which makes absolute no sense at all. 3000 years ago, we were having a hard time polluting the Earth or overpopulating it. Let alone fly ships into space.
I dropped in just to express how tired I am of seeing stupid these 10-13 “things it doesn’t tell you” videos. That’s all I needed to say. Good day to you all.
I would argue that playing as one character is more immersive then playing both as no one can be two people in real life and see both perspectives, but since this is a game, just do what's the most fun for you.
The game is about mind linking with allies to become stronger and gain new abilities. Imagine you are a character who is able to mind link with others to navigate and control their actions. Then it makes perfect sense that you are the only one capable of seeing the perspective of every character and not just one.
I love this game.... I just wish the Dodge was better. Very sloppy dodge.

The reviews are all over the place. This is definitely a game you need to try for yourself. I have seen a 10/10 and a 2/10 review.

There is not a single tip worth your attention here. Most of the “tips” are already explained on in-game tutorials and the rest are very obivious things that you learn just playing the game for a hour or so. Conclusion: this is another Gamebolt’s videos that they make just to keep the promise of publish videos everyday. Don’t waste your time here. What are you doing, Gamebolt? I used to like you!
I'm only about half way through this video as of typing this out.... But, even as somebody who actively skipped as much of the tutorial stuff as possible, the game tells you a LOT just based on the fact that there are SO GODDAMN MANY PROMPTS. Like, recently, I got so used to the brain crush sound that I've started hitting that button before the visual prompt even comes up and even in the shop, there's almost always a "new items added" prompt for me, so you want to take a look. You're gonna learn about bonds pretty soon after starting the game too, since it doesn't take much to bump your individual bond level and, whenever you get to a certain point with a character, their interaction symbol will change from off-white to light pink to signify a bond episode. Scarlet nexus really holds your hand for a lot of stuff
