- There are brand new allegations against TSM owner Reginald, of him once again being a volatile CEO who created a toxic workplace environment.
Former TSM player Doublelift has also spoken up to say that Reginald had threatened to sue him for publicly making his own allegations last year.
It’s the latest chapter in a deepening controversy - here’s the details.

Riot, Reginald has to be banned. Its no longer just the abuse, the wage theft shouldn't be downplayed.
I agree, in a job where you either have a career where you either have one or you dont, stealing wages is just absurd. Especially with how much money they make.
but that's not a punishment that's just gonna make his org better, that's clearly a reward.

I feel like if he steps down and they revamp their current work ethics to make it less toxic the players might actually do better because they wouldnt be so scared all the time and they might actually perform
@@utaha3661 TSM´s league team failed to make it into the playoff series this split. Not the playoff for worlds the playoff for NA LCS that has never ever happened before. I could be wrong here but i am pretty sure that TSM have the most apperances in NA playoff finals then any other NA team and this year they dident even make it into the playoff.

I’ve been a TSM fan since 2012, but I’ve never been happy with Andy/Reginald because even in their TSM house times it was clear he bullied and verbally abused players and never even saw it as that; rather he thought they were disrespecting him for letting him know he was being a complete jerk. I hope this investigation outs him from the esports community. We don’t need someone like him in esports.

Any company that's conducting an investigation on an issue that's within that company-especially against its founder and CEO-is always going to be sus. Why companies even bother or having the audacity to do these internal investigations is wild to me.

To be fair I've heard it's very difficult for very passionate people to not be toxic, once they become very successful. I'm talking specifically about being almost obsessively passionate about something and then being extremely successful in that area. I'm talking mostly Hollywood here, but I'm sure it applies to all areas of life.
P.S: On a side note I'm pretty sure that's exactly why most of "the best" players in specific games tend to be assholes.

@@SlCKNESS_ Eh. There are plenty of examples of "the best" players not being assholes. Making excuses for that type of behavior is exactly why those types of people are allowed to succeed. There's a vast difference between being confident and cocky and outright being a piece of shit to people. And that's not even taking into consideration power dynamics. Thankfully we've been moving towards an era where people are tired of this shit, it isn't 'acceptable' anymore, and that there are actual repercussions for not doing the bare minimum of being a decent human being.
I always read it as “I am not good at anything else.” Highly intelligent people work very hard on their social skills, because they understand how life works and what matters. I work with a couple of guys with IQs literally above 180. One of them is autistic, and constantly thinks on how to adapt to his autism. It’s awesome to watch him figure out new strategies to address his blind spots (and even more awesome to watch him solve Putnam problems in his head). The other is just a tremendous human. Intensely empathetic, and applies his big brain to understanding and helping others as a matter of habit. Everyone adores him, and he adores everyone. Total stud.
A third brilliant colleague of mine had grown up in a toxic environment, then spent nearly a decade in a toxic ivy league program. He’s a total beast at the job, but he recognized in his first week that his social skills sucked, and he went to work to fix them. He made tremendous strides, and within two years, went from “very off-putting” to well liked. The best part is he got there in part because he seems to feel a lot safer now than in school. I seek his opinion on helping me understand others now, because he has really built his empathy skill set over the years.
By contrast, all the assholes I know reveal their limitations pretty quickly.
I really feel bad for TSM fans and people for work them that their boss is a dunce.

I think if Andy had A: Apologized and not explained why he acted the way he did/does and B: Showed that he was actually taking steps to work on it, this wouldnt be a thing. But instead its a "Im sorry YOU dont get why Im like this" and just keeps throwing fuel on the fire

Even if he apologized, this kind of behavior was going on for years, even as he saw firsthand the impact he was having on people's emotional states, and having multiple people push back against him. He didn't care then, and if he cares at all now, it's only because an entire community has turned on him and his job security's at stake, instead of just individuals he held power pushing back against his abuse. "Sorry, I'll do better" doesn't fix everything; sometimes, there needs to be actual consequences beyond a bruised ego.
I remember when regi was hard stuck 1600 elo(plat) and playing in the lcs. I always tried to see the best in him but this is pathetic.

When they dropped him after yet again performing as one of the best NA adcs ever I knew something was up.

Regi has never understood that he isn’t the smartest person in the room. He’s an emotional risk taker. As a player, owner, and it appears as a person. He has always been the thing holding TSM back, while thinking he’s the only one trying to win. Almost like he lives in his own world.

Doublelift also said that there's no way REGI will sell TSM and step away from the org, that instead he would burn it all down before he would ever do that. Hard to know what that would actually mean other than dragging out a lengthy court battle that could go on for years (he has the money to do so), or somehow refusing to allow the TSM name to continue in the LCS meaning the spot would be sold to a new ownership under a new name, depriving RIOT of its flagship brand (although safe to say that flagship looks like the Titanic these days anyway).
The real question is whether the state is going to get involved. According to the WP article, TSM as an organisation has breached California's state laws numerous times. If that were to happen, shit truly hits the fan.
I don’t follow League, but from what I see and hear; he sounds like a toxic owner/teammate, and just a bully in general. Doesn’t help the fact that he has a face you just want to punch lol.
It would be so good for the esports scene as a whole if regi went down since it would set a precedent in esports for work abuse. Even though I’m not sure how deep this all goes. I’d rather have an potential injustice now for the greater good than to have a bunch suffer the same down the line since esports just keeps growing.
Sadly, going by scattered reports from a good chunk of (ex-)pro-players and people who have worked in competitive League since its founding but have achieved enough success to criticize its flaws (e.g. LS), this kind of thing has always been par for the course, and there's been multiple scandals like this throughout competitive League's history. But that doesn't mean it's acceptable. I fully agree with you in hoping this leads to precedents for the better.
I swear to everything, if Riot cowards under the influence Reginald and TSM has had/have and dont ban Reginalds ass from Esport, they'll be down bad 😑

There's probably a lot of legal ramifications around the whole idea of just banning Regi. I'm no lawyer or anything but it can't possibly be easy to ban an owner from eSports. It's already hard as it is in real sports like the NFL with the Dan Snyder situation, where the NFL as an entity has a lot more power to get rid of an owner while also having legal ramifications in potentially federal court against him than Riot or the LCS does versus Regi.

This is one of the MANY reasons why I moved some of my support to EG. I love TSM but Regis so entitled and makes things worse in the team. I think I can only go on one more failed season before I fully give up on them. 😒

IF even HALF of what's come out is true about Regi, he need to be hit with the whole book, and then some. What this is investigation/war of words/articles is doing to eSports as a WHOLE is showing that the bad days of eSports has not gone away. It's showing that there are still teams out there in the wider eSports world that still believe even with all the rules and regulations and laws they can do whatever they please because they are still looking at this as a fad not a legitimate sport. "If it's not legit who cares?" That kind of thinking could destroy 20+ years of progress and what other teams, players, front offices, and fans have been fighting for.

Wukong has been a problem since his release. Been causing havoc on the rift since I can remember back in beta. It was right time, right place and he foresaw the success and lucrative possibilities of the eSports scene. He got rich too quick, seized too much power very young, before he got a chance to grow up. They were all kids. He's a geek who made money, started dating girls way out of his league, and got used to being told yes to everything. Very, very young. He's mind is stunted. Not an excuse, just an objective pov.

Honestly, there's no way Reginald gets off free if Riot does an actual investigation into this. We've seen people get fined for leaving the game before nexus explodes, there's no way possible this doesn't get justice. Riot will want their money because REGI is making league look bad. I was never a TSM fan, I liked the players (Dyrus, Bjerg, Turle) But the org I always had a gut wrenching feeling about every time I thought about them. After the video with Reginald talking about Turtle in the car with everyone, then after the Dyrus video of him streaming and getting agitated with Reginald. It's just not a good idea to be affiliated right now with Reginald. The org needs to force him to resign.
I know riot president tryndamere had beefs with regi historically. Maybe riot finally found a way to move on with out tsm's popular influence since they're kinda bad atm

Theyre trying to sue doublelift because they know theyre gonna need the money. Either for settlements to Andy's victims or for his big fat severance from the company.
If Andy steps down, it'll basically be like him saying "There's truth in everything DoubleLift said". Andy won't step down as CEO nor sell the company.
