I must be getting old, I like the Limited trim the most. I'm typically a TRD Pro fan but for this generation, the Limited just seems more appealing to me
I don’t know man, to me the limited looks like a muscular RAV4. If I were to buy one I would definitely go TRD OR.. would love the Pro but can’t justify the price difference, probably at least $10k, especially if I never off road with it. I just want a rugged looking SUV I guess.

love the look but they made it 4inches longer and 2inches wider and put a 4 cylinder turbo in it to pull the big beast around,theres a lot of strain on a small displacement engine like that-time will tell on the longevity of the motor
Yeah, they're going backward with the 4runner. Not feeling this at all. Back window roll down is cool. The wheels seem off aswell. Everything looks like a boosted 90s trim.

Just curious, but why buy a panoramic sun roof on an offroading vehicle at all? I never really understood the whole obsession with sunroofs. I personally prefer my vehicles without a sunroof because it's cheaper.
Agreed, people needa be real and know that the limited trim is not going to be off roading same for the Tacoma limited. I’m loving this update across the board, trading in my ‘23 Prius for the new Camry and trading in my 18’ Tacoma for the new Tacoma limited. Going to be grabbing one of these too for the family.
I do wish they had a larger/somewhat removable roof.... especially with the first gen styling cues. The non hybrid seems like the ticket, the cargo space is so much better and the 2mpg improvement will never pencil
And from all the videos the cabin looks super dark and claustrophobic. The 5th gen at least is pretty open and bright. It's Lexus twin has a piano roof, so obviously it was possible, but Toyota seems intent on going down the GM route of badge engineering. 4Runner, GX, Land cruiser. Now just 3 flavors of the same vehicle.
As the 4Runner is 4.7" longer and likely wider too, it will weigh even more. The 4cyl TT motor may only keep up with this new larger 4Runner. But we will have to wait for test drives to see if it can have a spring in its step vs being a bit slow.
Literally look like a 3rd gen & 5th gen degen. Love my 5th gen w ith over 180k mi & today omw hike it avg 25mpg. Trust the 5th gen 4.0 v6 gets better w age. It really does. N 4 that I'm out on putting 4 bangers in a 6k.lbs. truck. Just put a 2JZ w a 6spd manual n the 5th gen is what I'm working on as we speak

I currently have a 2023 4Runner Limited in Blizzard Pearl that I am just in love with. I don't drive it often, because I like to keep it nice, but when I do it sure does make me happy. Love the blue color. Love the electric tailgate! Even the chrome trim. I usually go with the blackout version. But they failed on the visors. Still using the tiny slide which does nothing. Need to go with the full visor version slide. And I bet they still have the navigation volume separate from the radio volume. It’s to much of a hassle and distracting to go into settings every time you need to change the navigation volume.

Prefer my 06 V8 sports edition.....the designers need to smooth over the corners, and maybe stretch the wheelbase with a reduced the rear fencer to normalize the back doors.
You said less life span, not life of the turbo. Turbo is a maintenance item like a timing chain. Most things on a car don't last 300k without maintenance. Just my opinion!

Its an offroading vehicle that rattles off the beaten path and you want a glass roof that would crack? Not for this kinda vehicle. I mean a regular sunroof is good on my 5th gen but panoramics crack easier.
We had to wait so long for a baby Sequoia , where did the uniqueness of the Japanese made 4Runner go. Why did this take so long, what a disappointment. The Front end needs to much more aggressive and cool.

4 cylinders?. Horsepower is not good. Only 275 HP The hybrid assist engine is the better choice, but what cost? Higher cost? If I am not wrong, if a company built something in a few hundred, the cost per unit is high, if the company built something in thousands, the cost per unit is low, so why are the Hybrid Assist engine vehicles in the Toyota industry so high in price ? All 4 runners should have 4 cylinder hybrid assists, no other way. Issues with 6Gen : The interior is dark, and the ceiling is dark too. Why does Toyota engineer things that all - Americans want dark interior? Why do we not have a light color option such as a beige or ivory? It's an off-roader if it is ? A limited interior is a truck base. This is not rock crawling , it's an SUV, not a Jeep, the interior should be fancy, not like a tank shape. This interior should be cool looking, not military looking. The gearshift sucks, and the passenger support handle next to the gearshift is a poor idea. Check other vehicles, you can find so much better options. If I love 4runner, it does not mean you can add shit, and you will like something. Please do not force me to love something which sucks. The ceiling is pretty low. This should be a little greater the size of the cabin. So the rear trunk window does not have a wiper ? why? The whole reason Toyota moved over N-TNG is that they want to make a modular design where they can exchange parts, which means that this could help with lower prices. But, this is not helping consumer . Every Toyota designed in 2 years is $10K higher. Thanks

No way the Limited will be 80k. The LC first edition is $77k and here in the SF Bay Area dealers are only marking them up by $5k. Now we are not in the pandemic anymore where people have money to spend, inflation is real. High interest rate is real.
I dont like it. I have owned previous generations of the 4runner. I feel like the 8 speed transmission is only there to make up for the pathetic 2.4 L inline 4. I dont care if it is turbo charged. 2.4L is not enough to move such a heavy SUV. Also, the tail lights are ugly to me and the added body lines around the wheel wells look like a classic case of tring to make somthing look updated whith out doing any thing. I'll stick with the 2016 model thank you.

It looks nice! The only problem and it’s a big one: no natural aspirated v6 engine. Not having that option is a turn off for me.
