How the fuck it's okay to loose money???
It’s so refreshing seeing clips with Jon interacting with the rest of the crew. Love the show but I think it really shines best with the interaction and chemistry
FACTS
I agree 100pct. The show is at its best with him interacting the crew. Not ray or Johnathan though.

True John Campea show is at its most enjoyable when it’s a discussion, when it’s a back and forth. Movie discussion on general is at its most fun when multiple people are talking, agreeing and disagreeing.
Where was everyone? I missed it
When was the last time a Superman movie absolutely blew up the box office? The Reeves era? That was over 40 years ago.
George or Christopher??
Yea & no. Man Of Steel did decent numbers for a solo superhero film without the word Spider in the title. It's just that it cost a ton and was far from the 1st big screen Superman film; so WB was thinking $800m+ easy.
But "blew up", yeah, that'd be Superman II over 40 years ago
Man of Steel legitimately blew up the box office on opening weekend. $128m at end of day Sunday was undeniably monster number for an origin solo film in June 2013. The quality was iff and the release strategy terrible so the films numbers dropped like a rock. The opening weekend alone, however, is a testament to the potential the brand carries.
WB has lost tons of money in recent years and they’re going to lose more. They’re going to demand Superman: Legacy be a financial success. It has to be for them.
WB has many successful movies in these years. Only dc movies have flopped
There is no reality in which a company who has taken this many financial loses takin another one with something as big as Superman and it be a good thing. It’s not a debate or opinion that is just simple math and business.
Gunn saying that Blue Beetle is the start of the DCU is a terrible decision. He should start with Superman Legacy.
think he's trying to get more people to see that movie, as it stands I think that film's gonna flop.
I don't think it'll make a difference to audiences but he mentioned that the character will be in the DCU, meaning that actor and his story is likely staying but not the full surrounding world of the movie
@@yMMahmood0990Facts
Their biggest mistake was announcing the reboot, people don't want to see dc movies because they know its going to get rebooted.
With it being James Gunn doing Superman I don't think this movie will lose money. The DCEU brand is in shambles but not DC itself as The Batman, Joker, and Peacemaker all did great.
I think the sequels to it will make money but it itself is going to make none or very little
What did The Batman and Joker movie make? They are not DCEU but they are DC.
Joker- over 1billion
The batman- 820million
@@Koluvumahe Batman did 766 million not 820. So less people watched it than Batman v Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Suicide Squad and about even with Man of steel.
If Superman Legacy is a flop or loses money, that fact will dominate the conversation, and the DCU will be labeled a failure right out the gate. Thats how the media operates and social media will echo the negativity ad nauseum.
That’s why I think they need a headline actor as Superman, not a no name - I think Nicholas Hoult will end up as Superman.
They could go between $150-170M, a Superman movie with the reputation DC has at the moment might go for $500-600 if the movie is ok, if the movie is great, you could see it go from $750-850 M.
All it takes is a good character, make people care about Superman, and a good plot.
The answer also lies in having the STORY and SCREENPLAY locked in. And having the CAST locked in. And having the DIRECTOR locked in. Before the cameras even begin rolling. Changing these movies midstream, with hugely expensive reshoots, and last-minute expensive, subpar SFX changes (digitally removing Cavill’s beard?!) is what’s causing these budgets to balloon out of control. It’s all about preparation. Also reigning in the actors’ salaries to within reasonable caps needs to happen. Give them a cut of the profits and merchandise, but the big upfront payouts are also contributing to the huge budgets.
Lock the actors in for minimum 4 movies in their initial contact and don't immediately defer to a listers. Actor salaries are a huge portion of bloated budgets.
Cinematically speaking, Superman Legacy should be on par with a Spielberg movie. We already know Gunn can deliver a good movie. But at this point, DC may have to drag fans back in, kicking and screaming.
Spielberg ....no way 😂
If Superman Legacy Loses Money
It’s Not Okay, This is a Stupid Ass Take
He just wanna post 😂
I mean it can't lose hundreds of millions of dollars, but if it hovers around the break even point and gets great reviews and good home video results it will breathe life and good press surrounding the universe.
Good to see you didn't watch the video
Whose gonna make the definitive DCEU documentary??
Imo, they need to start small, then raise their budgets in the sequels if the first one is a hit. Don’t go all out like Snyder did with Man Of Steel, instead look at Kenneth Branagh’s Thor which was 150 million, that’s a perfect reasonable budget compared to other films today.
The problem is that the same technology probably costs more now then it did when Thor was made. I don't know how a Superman movie can be made at a modest budget.
@@nikunjdixit1175the first season of Superman & Lois did an excellent job with the tiny budget it had. A character focused story with a couple of large action set pieces is more than enough for a great Superman movie. MoS really just went over the top for a first film.
@@rcbmmines4579 Firstly, there is a massive difference in watching something on tv vs watching it on the big screen. Secondly, a tv show by its very format has the time to distribute its story over an entire season. No one watching a Superman movie actually wants 90% of family stuff and only 10% action. This is what Superman Returns was and people criticized the hell out of that movie for its lack of action.
@@nikunjdixit1175 Firstly, I didn’t mean that they should have the same budget but that you wouldn’t need 200 million. 150 like Thor 1 could be enough. The show’s budget is likely a tiny fraction of that and they were able to pull off excellent effects for action scenes (flight, space, super speed, strength and all) for TV. It’s generally not much harder or more expensive to do than then, VFX artists just need more time and focus.
Secondly, that also adds to my point. It’s a 2 and a half hour film at most so it wouldn’t need the same amount of excessive padding or focus on family drama. Plenty of people disliked or hated MoS because of the excessive action and destruction. The film could easily find the balance there while putting story and characters first like what Gunn said. They don’t need a 200 or 300 million dollar budget.
Unless Legacy goes for an apocalyptic alien invasion (from Brainiac, Zod, Darkseid, Mongul or whoever) straight from the get-go, which I doubt since it would be highly repetitive and goes against what Gunn seems to be aiming for. Clark’s character and relationships with Lois, Jimmy and Lex should take precedence to show the general audience his humanity beyond doubting himself all the time like MoS.
@@rcbmmines4579 Again, if you make the same Thor film now, it would probably cost more than $150 million. And again, the show's effects are excellent in the context of being a show you watch on tv, not on a big screen. You watch the same show on the big screen and it will look very different. The whole issue with the VFX industry is that artists are being overworked for budget purposes and we get shoddy CGI creations as a result. You actually have to spend more money for VFX artists to have the time to make good CGI creations in the movie, which only increases the budget.
With regards to your second point, there has to be a middle ground. People hated Superman Returns for a lack of action and Man of Steel for action being overdone. The budgets can be brought under control but you can't go all the way down to having very little action. As mentioned before, a 150 million budget is probably not sufficient to make a Superman movie that is acceptable for audiences. Because the audiences do want action. The focus on family drama works in the tv show because it is a show. It is meant to be more character focused and have stories spread out over a season. A movie needs to do it in 2.5 hours.
I don't know what version of Superman that Gunn would go for. Maybe he will go for something low key. But I doubt he will make it anything like the old Superman movies or like Superman Returns, where the biggest action scene was Superman saving a plane. I think 150-200 million is probably the minimum that a movie like that would require. And it is the first movie for the new DCU. Gunn can't afford to have it look shoddy.
NO IT'S NOT OK FOR A MOVIE TO LOSE MONEY. Follow Todd Philips example. You start the universe with 100-150 films and slowly increase the budget as they become successful
If a movie called Batman V Superman couldn’t make a billion, none of the others stand a chance. They need a time out and an actual reboot.
Lol aquaman was lucky thanks to China $300 mil cume
This comment here says it all and mind you the movie released during a good time for the box office.
DCEU been failing because they don't connect or lead into anything. They scrapped Darkseid plans and replaced it with nothing but throwing shit at the wall. And plus the movies are bad. Marvel got big because of the Avengers and Thanos build up. Marvel been struggling because they been doing what DC has been doing, making movies all over the place with not really nothing connective. You don't advertise shared universe and share nothing in the universe but useless cameos and Easter eggs.
Superman Legacy has to be visually something people haven't seen before.
Good story, good acting, good cgi (BUT NOT DEPENDENT ON CGI) and the movie will be great. DC needs to showcase their stars, the trinity THEN bring in the less popular characters
"If it's a good movie then it'll be a good movie" Goddamn, DC needs to hire this guy here.
@@c4v3m4n27 actually I said it would be great
Disney Marvel made their B and C list characters gigantic and a bigger sucess than the Justice League, WB should be ashamed, that's not ok
I think the biggest obstacle will be getting past the previous faliures of the DCEU. I myself, enjoyed a lot of the films that came from the DCEU, however these films have contiued to make less and less money. The Key will be getting the fans who dropped of back and introducing these heroes to a new audience. The animated features have even been getting less love.
I think this movie needs to be seen as the first movie in a new DC universe. Which it technically is. If this movie succeeds, expect box office like Iron Man. Met with skepticism initially but came out and surprised many to an amazing level.
7:57 John's right but this is WB I get the feeling If Superman Legacy bombs DC is done bar Batman for a very long time!
I think movies like the Batman don't need to be so expensive
The trouble with lowering budget is it okay for film like batman, but when it comes to superman that low budget isnt gonna help, but its bad directors that have no clue what they are doing, the only one that produce visual stunning film is zack synder
Personally, I think DC needs to do 2 things. 1) Let their characters breath for a while. I feel oversaturated with superhero material. I don't care about seeing anything with any of them in it right now. 2) After a break for a few years, maybe turn to their animated films for inspiration. Some of those are much better than anything in the live action DCEU.
I get what John is saying but I really do believe that they could make better movies under a smaller budget under this new regime. Look at blumhouse productions they make incredible horror movies for pennies and they make their money back with great reviews and all. I understand that horror movies and superhero movies are in two different genres and I'm not necessarily suggesting making a superhero movie for ten million dollars but do it where in worst case scenarios the movie can still be profitable enough so the studios don't lose money. I guess I'm fearful that if it continues like this superhero movies as we know it might be done for.
I think to make that possible, they need to go for up and coming actors from smaller projects and sign them on for multiple film contracts right off the bat. A-list actor salaries are a huge source of bloat for movies now.
A movie with “Superman” in the title should never lose money. What are you talking about?!
Superman,s name is not what it used to be. Remember what “Batman and Robin” did to Batman?
Joker is the most profitable comic book movie of all time
@@EmperorDxDtake your advice.
Joker is actually the most profitable comic book movie of all time. It was made on a budget of less than $100 million dollars and grossed $1 billion at the box office
@@kingxerxes-so3kk not as much as avengers endgame, had a 356$ million budget and made 2.7B$, we're talking a 2.3 B$ profit. if you're talking in percentages you might have a point with numbers but endgame has it beat in pure numbers.
I don't think you want headlines reporting a potnetial loss the week Superman Legacy comes out. Might just convince audiences that its gonna be another shit show. Try to limit the budget to $150-$180 million. Have a unique villian. Don't rely on nostalgia. Make sure the plan afterwards actually has an overarching plot leading to something like the first 10 years of the MCU. You can't just have a schedule of films and expect it to naturally build up to a billion dollar machine. There needs to be an event movie that previous movies lead up to. Don't expect any of those first few DC movies to come near a billion at the box office. The brand needs to be made first.
DCU will succeed for sure. Green Lantern and Booster Gold tv show will restore the faith in DC fans and James Gunn will blow every comic book movie fan's mind with Superman: Legacy.
And then we have Brave and the Bold too. It's just all these have to be good.
Marvel movies prior to MCU were not that good and the first phase of MCU movies except The Avengers didn't make huge amount in box office but they went on making two 2 billion dollar movies from there.
Well only Zack Snyder can make DC great
@@syedlam9632 Snyder's cultist and Cavill obsession
DCU will succeed lol? Bro nobody wants to see a young Superman movie. We have seen it multiple times done really well. We need a fun positive Superman movie that is something new and original. I bet you James Gunn’s Superman will be incredibly predictable. The Snyderverse was flawed but James Gunn is not the answer.
James Gunn has already said plenty of times there budget won’t be so crazy anymore that’s why we’re only gonna get 2 DC projects a year just like Gunn said, one film and one show for Max starting in 2025
We saw what James Gunn can do working alone with Gotg trilogy
@@EmperorDxD Thats true and thats why Gunn will also be under a lot of pressure, that aside, both Gunn and Feige were and still are huge fans of comic books, that gives me hope and faith in Gunn that he's gonna do his best
DC should just give up on movies and focus on CW shows. they were great i guess i feel nostalgic because i grew up watching arrowverse shows
Gunn knows if this film don't succeed expectation then this newest dc universe fails hard. James wants to give us a proper superman fim some would give it a chance other will likely try bomb on it two reasons - zack snyder not coming back & henry cavill is not coming back. Fans & critics will voice their own views/opinions when this movie hit.
People would also try compare this new superman to past holders and to henry superman. I say lets try see where this will go.
I believe you could do a lot with less than 200 million. You just need to be a lot more creative on effects and focus more on the story. How many times have we heard it’s not the fancy equipment but how you use it? That should be DC’s goal: go for smaller budget movies with really great, inventive stories. That would really impress me.
How is it fair John to say that it is okay for Superman: Legacy to lose money, but its not okay for Man of Steel which did better numbers but below expectations. MOS was not guaranteed to make a billions dollars just like Legacy is not expected to make a lot in BO results. MOS was the first movie of the franchise and so is Legacy but for Legacy the rules are adjusted to accommodate its imminent failure . You are biased. If anything, Legacy should soar because its a reboot of the franchise at a time where Marvel is not longer a dominant player in the market compared to the time when MOS was released. Don't make excuse for Gunn and Safran.
@@j04370859 Good question, the same courtesy must be applied when reviewing MOS Box Office numbers. Ya'll call MOS a failure and when it comes to Legacy we are being expected to understand that NOT EVERY MOVIE IS A BILLION DOLLAR guaranteed film.
@@thobaniklaas While i agree with you about MOS box office & bias towards james gunn, but MOS was a failure because it was crap, the box office was fine. Same with batman v superman.

Love you all! Love the channel! Y’all are awesome. Such insight and professionalism. Bravo 👏🏽
DCEU has bombed because of two things:
1. They didn’t build a story arc through their films, to increase the stakes and make you care about the characters.
2. If the films didn’t have rewrites and production delays, the budgets would automatically be smaller.
Superman Legacy floping is not okay lol. It would be a major disaster.

You tell 'em John. It's OK to lose another 2 billion dollars, on a single film this time. That's how you set records.... albeit probably the wrong type of records.

It's not news, it's a discussion topic.
I understand the arguments on either side and ultimately it's gonna be up to Gunn to balance the two.
None of the arguments made here were anything particularly new tho so what was the point of doing the topic at all?

Marvel didn't even make films 25 years ago, so fortunes can change - but unless DC does something radically fresh and different....they're gonna stay Pepsi.
Oh, nice to see Kris. She barely appears in the videos after channel's rebrending.
Call me crazy, but assuming it loses money like you suggest, I dont think releasing a critically acclaimed financial disaster is going to do much for the studio.
Because then the headline is not about how good the money is. It's about how poorly it did at the box office and how much money it lost.
I think Gunn is making a mistake by only soft rebooting. I like the DCEU but think the DCU should be all fresh. I love Peacemaker, the Waller character, etc. but Gunn just keeping his projects and buddies is gonna rub people wrong.
Bingo! That’s why he’s ruined this right out of the gate. Bad message to the fans who liked Snyder and his movies and just keeps the hatred alive .

Warner has a huge hater problem. So does Disney. I’m starting to wonder if any film or studio can overcome them? They have a lot more power than given credit for.

That is legitimate. My family and I would go and see all of these blockbuster movies if that weren't so close together with the price of seeing movies these days. I have to feed my family too or else I'm a horrible husband and father🤣
What dc wants is to be that one or two movie u go see, and for that they need a good reputation. Odds r, marvel movies r on the top of most people’s movies to see. That’s what dc needs, and for that they need to start a streak of really good movies
Take it from someone who has followed these films closely for over 20 years, going back to the Wolfgang Peterson Batman vs. Superman era. A few things WB must do, in order: learn from the past and apply the lessons correctly to modern times. See the big picture - do not cherry pick random things, but grasp everything and weigh them appropriately.
To create and release a film that successfully reaches its maximum commercial potential - aka grosses the largest amount of money possible - there are 2 areas that the film must succeed in. DC movies, to date, are very mixed in both areas. Note: it cannot it understand how important success wit both of these areas is.
1) Quality is king. Starting with the concept itself, through the screenplay development, to the casting of actors, through filming, through editing, and beyond - the film must be undeniably good in the eyes of there consumer. With superheros, this usually means liking the good guys, liking to hate the bad guys, lots of action, some drama, enough comedy. It also means largely staying true to the principles of the character within the story. Broad cutting of budget = underinvesting in quality = bad.
2) Release strategy. This means selecting a prime release date where consumers will have spending money and time to spend it and avoiding competition from major films either immediately before or after the film opens; widespread and high quality marketing - exciting trailers that played in front of other big films on heavily on tv and on-line; tie-ins with other brands, music videos, etc.
WB have gotten both of these right with a handful of films. The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman checked both boxes and and were all huge hits. Unfortunately, with other films, they have struggled with one or both of these items and thats very costly.
I will note the most glaring screw-up and the one that lead WB down the entire road: botching the release of MOS. MOS quality was not perfect, but it was a good generally well received film. WB opening it mid June just 1 week before competition would open to $145m combined was insane mistake that crushed MOS box office staying power. There should be no doubt whatsoever that if they one MOS in mid-July - same time that TDK, Inception, Potter 8 and TDKR cleaned up - on that date that gave flop Pacific Rim, I 100% guarantee MOS opens to the same $130m isn opening weekend but has MUCH better staying power.
I personally just think the idea of a shared cinematic universe for DC isn't great to begin with. Unlike Marvel, who built their universe of B and C tier heroes, DC actually had all of their biggest hitters available to them to tell compelling stories. The standalone DC films in the modern era have also been quite excellent from Nolan's Batman trilogy to Joker and most recently with Matt Reeve's Batman. To me, the strength of DC films has always been the strength of their specific characters which seems to get diluted down quite a bit in their cinematic universe. Can this be done better? Most definitely but instead of rushing ahead to pump out MORE FILMS I personally think that if they are hell bent on making a new shared cinematic universe then they should put a good 5+ years between the final film in the old universe coming out and the start of the new universe. This would allow the bad taste of the previous universe to subside a bit making it possible to maybe NOT lose a ton of money when the new universe returns as well as provide a nice opportunity for various other takes to be done on some of the characters in standalone films which have been a strong point for DC films overall.
James Gunn said they just want to put out 2 projects a year. I think that will definitely help out with financial things, especially if the movies you’re putting out are high quality.
DC should’ve hired Nolan as creative head. TDK trilogy is still considered one of if not the best comic book movie films ever made and that’s saying A LOT
Nolan isnt good at these types of things. It's why he never got on board to begin with and suggested Snyder.
Creating a trilogy and creating a connected universe are totally different things man.
This level of cope reminds me a lot of those stupid website titles such as "Why X bad thing happened AND that's a Good Thing". Yeah, I watched the whole segment and I understand the reasoning but I disagree. Making blockbusters is a business and investors won't accept such a thing. Captain Marvel is an AWFUL movie but it was financially succesful so that's the incentive for Marvel to keep trying with her.
they need to find a way to slash the budget and work within that budget....surely they can find a director that can be resourceful and creative enough to find way and make it happen
Todd Phillips did. 💁
I saw it opening weekend
8:13 respectfully… Margot Robbie has had a pretty bad track record at the box office after Birds of Prey.
The Suicide Squad (albeit, the day-and-date release hurt it) lost money, Amsterdam lost money, Babylon - even though I love it - lost money.
Barbie is a smart move and most likely going to be profitable, but it’s not just DC being the reason why.
Did Kriss ever talk about her thoughts on the flash movie? Im curious to know what she thinks
I personally love Superman. Superman and Lois is my favorite show, but the people want some new stuff. The Avengers in 2012 was new.
Missed Kris Carr!!! I feel like i haven’t seen in her in months!! Miss the crew! Thank you John!!🙌🏽🙌🏽
The baggage might be too big to make it a billion dollar film. But that'll all depend on the movie itself. At the end of the day SUPERMAN is still one of the biggest and most iconic names across the globe. We really havent gotten a good Superman movie in a while. Superman unites people and is a message of hope. Every Superman movie in the 21st century has divided people's opinions.
James Gunn needs to make one of the best Superman movie if not the best. The word of mouth works and when you attach a name like Superman , it can cross that magic number. But first make a blockbuster. This movie cannot divide people's opinion because if it does then ....
“Superman Legacy” has to resurrect the Superman name like “Batman Begins” did for Batman. That movie didn’t make a ton of money, because of how bad “Batman and Robin” was, but Begins knocked it out of the park and audiences were excited to see Batman on the big screen again.
But as much I like GOTG Gunn isn’t on the same level as a Nolan he can’t replicate that
@@rl8259 I would agree that he isn't on the level of Nolan, but that doesn't mean that he couldn't make a movie that audiences end up enjoying. He doesn't need to hit a homerun. A solid double would do.
@@farakhhanif Shit I think WB would take a single at this point as long as it breaks even and isn’t rotten that’s probably a win for DC
@@rl8259 You're probably right.
U.K. nah, The Flash didn't do any better here than anywhere else, really. An O.K £3.2m to the 3rd weekend of Spider-Verse taking £2.5m shows this.
Break's my heart.😢
I really don’t think it’s guaranteed to lose money. It probably won’t have an enormous box office. But so long as they keep the budget in check, I think it will be fine. Start with a smaller story that’s not some massive world ending thing that requires tons of CGI
such a good video. i also agree that probably SuperMan Legacy will lose money and that's o.k. , what's not ok is Batman Brave and the Bold lose money, in my opinion.
Lol no, If Superman legacy flop then it's over the DCU
The point is that it can make $100 mil+ opening weekend, have decent legs, and still not really be a huge financial success, but if it has an 85-95% on rotten tomatoes and general positive reactions it's going to have a huge positive impact on surrounding projects
@@EmperorDxD if it flops yes, but it should only be considered a flop if it loses hundreds of millions and is really bad
Since when does a major studio loosing an investment a good thing, you didn't make it, make sense Jon boy. 😂
the best DCU film is John playing Superman and Kris as Lois......😁
Nice to see Kris in the show. Would be great though if non John panelist’s get an additional minute or so to talk. Seems their airtime is so small in comparison to Johns takes.
i think if budgets go from 220 to 150-170 and others a bit less it can work. especially something like the flash sorry it simply shouldn’t look like that for that much spent. Indy 5 is supposed to be 300 mil?? i could be wrong i. that but truly absurd. i agree it shouldn’t be Slashed but definitely brought down, we can’t do these movies for 75 but we aren’t making money at 250. one of the reasons horror movies are a box office cheat code is that most of them don’t cost 30 million but 5-10. as much as i don’t agree that bb and aqua man should be dumped on max i think it’s only gonna make the road to rebuilding harder.
Well, we'll only know for sure after the writers' strike is over. Of course, we don't know if it will ever end.
Don't ever lose Kris Carr. Her analysis and personality is a constant breathe of fresh air.
Then when the movie comes out he’ll talking about how the film flopped at the box office
A low box office in only really okay if it can win awards and Gunn is just not on that level as a director. So no this has to make money otherwise it’ll be a failure.
This...
@@EmperorDxDthe award gets you more movies and control.
It’s the award that every time

Got a sequel because it got an award
Try again
The DC brand is definitely tainted at this point. However I do believe if James Gunn makes a genuinely good Superman film, although it may have a relatively low opening weekend, word of mouth will lead it to break even at the box office & make anywhere between an okay to good profit
@@EmperorDxDtypo,
*If James Gunn makes a genuinely good Superman film
Kris is right. With the problem DC is in now, DC Studios should start with the heavy hitters. I think Gunn and Safran should change a little bit their strategy and start with the heavy hitters first, and make sure to reboot everything, they need to start rethinking their plan. That's why I say they should reboot and start from scratch everything.
People put DC comics movies down before any one gets to see it
That’s true ….
Glad to see Kris back.
If they can come up with a few SPECTACULAR trailers i think they can get some hooks in and do fine. Need to see teaser trailers start dropping a year before or more before the movie again. Used to watch trailers 2-3 times a day for a year because I was so excited for the movie. Had not done that since The Batman
Quality is king and broad budget cutting his underinvesting in quality. That is the last thing that a turnaround studio should be doing.
Its not 4-5, its 6 (including the Flash).
I’m hoping Superman Legacy does very well.
So when BVS didn’t make a billion dollars it was a problem. But now loosing money on film is okay? The fuck kinda logic is this??!?
I’m still trying to understand this myself.
If they capture a hype over the next year about superman legacy via marketing it will make some profit. But yeah i agree with you, Man of steel only made 668mil at the end of the day.. I expect around 500-600 maybe
I think if it beats Man of Steel it's gonna be considered a huge success. I agree with you about marketing, funny enough I think the marketing campaign for the original guardians of the Galaxy was one of the best Marvel ever did.
@@ParisofNowhere if the trailers, marketing and word of mouth is positive it might just do The Batman money. Superman Legacy is a catchy name.
@@EgzyD agreed. I think the cautiously optimistic target would be to make at least $600mil and the marker of success would be better numbers than man of steel
I don't know about Jimmy Olsen and Perry White yet.
@johncampea Here is the problem, we lack the "below the line" talent to really produce a movie of the caliber that people are NOW EXPECTING from these franchises. We EXPECT "The Batman", we EXCEPT "Avengers: End Game", etc. etc. We need STUDIOS to invest in these people --- the below the line folks --- especially in Editing and VFX and Animation and CGI and all that jazz, because these people are STRETCHED THIN --- some of them work 80+ hours a week. There isn't enough talent to fill the reqs for the VOLUME of films that are in production. Most movies are dying in Post-Production. Its a supply and demand issue.
LOLz already with the excuses
