As a montreal fan I genuinely wouldn't even be mad if we selected another defensemen like perhk would prefer Lindstrom or Demidov but wouldn't be mad considering how good some of these defensemen are
I would only be okay with Zayne Parekh… We have so much defensive defenders and Two way defenders we do not need Levshunov, Dickinson Or Silayev… We need more offence and if we draft Parekh I’ll be okay with that, Imagine a top 4 of Guhle Parekh, Hutson Reinbacher that would be nuts…. I have a strong feeling Eiserman or Lindstrom may be available at 5th or 4th overall I think the Habs may fall to 5th or 4th and If one of those players are there we have to take them… If we fall 6th or 7th I would be okay with Parekh or Catton.
Habs need to pick the best player available, period , end of story..If the best one is a defenceman, they need to draft the guy, even though they have a large stable of above average defensive prospects..
I agree...however, Montreal is doing an "accelerated" rebuild so they will likely draft to fill a pressing need as they did with Reinbacher at 5th last year...but I still would not be surprised if they drafted a Dickinson or Parekh, both with much higher ceiling than Reinbacher and possibly "top one" type defensemen on a team !!!

Great show guys! I think we'll get a good one with our pick this year but I wonder what Gorton and Hughes are up to, too. lol I feel something coming, all those draft picks we have over the next two seasons, I hope they finagle us a steal of a deal somehow.

The eisermann and catton disrespect is absolutely nuts
They are good prospects, maybe their game styles may be harder to reproduce in the NHL compared to other players. I would still take anyone of them but only from 10th to 15th ???

Where is Catton?
Celebrini will go 1st without a doubt, but after this its all mystery. The same teams that picked top 4 last year will probably pick top 4 again and they all went for a forward last year, could some of them be going for the best dman available this year? Even with Demidov or Lindstrom available lets say ? If the Habs pick 5th/6th lets say, they might have a shot at a Demidov, Lindstrom, Catton, Eiserman, Iginla ? It's gonna be interesting to see who's available to them. I dont see why they go for a dman this year again after picking Reinbacher last year, unless a dman that they have really really high on their list is magically available to them. Then we could see a trade for one of their dman to get a forward or something
All the defensemen top 10 available at the 2024 entry draft will likely be better than Reinbacher...so it is still a possibility Montreal draft another defenseman if the forward they really want is already gone. Indeed, a Dickinson or a Parekh have got a lot of upside compared to Reinbacher, but the Montreal fans/media still expect a forward after the "Michkov" fiasco of last year.

He's horrible on defense, his production has dipped a bit, people say he's a product of tje players he plays with and he's considered a one trick pony. Also he's a victim of the high talent showing in the top 10.
@@maxpatenaude2115 Eiserman is a unidimensional player similar to Caufield and DeBrincat; however, I believe he will be better than them mainly because he is a much bigger player, especially if he is willing to learn to improve his game. Indeed, you cannot teach "size" !!!
It could be an amazing draft class solely due to there now being 32 teams, allowing more room for more players to be highlighted, whereas in 2008, there was only 30 teams. That's twelve less opportunities to break into the league.

Reinbacher is good. Dont let this year Reinbacher's stats fool you. He played for pretty much the worst team in the Swiss league, and got a knee injury. After Xmas he was pretty much the best dman of his team as a teenager. 6'2" big kid, right handed, with really good skating. Reinbacher would still be a top 10 this year if lets say he was eligible this year.
@@maxpatenaude2115 las years draft was loaded with centers, Moore Dvorsky Michkov Benson all better than Reinbacher, i understand that in offseason RHD is most wanted material but i would rather traded it for gauthier or drafted Dvorsky(who is after Bedard best goalscorer in the draftclass)
Reinbacher will make more of a difference in a playoff series than a michkov that's for sure. You need a good top stay at home dman who can put up some pts here and there. If I was mtl and Lindstrom, demidov, celebrini aren't available I'd still take zayne. Kid looks insanely good and plays on the right. Then they can trade Barron or logan with picks for a high end forward kind of what anahiem did with cutter. Imagine a powerplay with hutson and zayne on it! Or both on their own powerplay unit! Would be insane having 2 powerplay quarterbacks like that.
@deniskuka4843 well, there's a guy like Catton, Eiserman, Iginla, Lindstrom etc that might be available for the Habs, these guys are high end talent
@deniskuka4843 better than Reinbacher, you sure ? I mean its hard to compare a forward and dman. Reinbacher was last year's best/most attractive dman of the draft. We'll see. A bit early to come to a conclusion a year after the draft.
Would be nice for the Habs to trade the pick for a 20 year old forward, and get this going.
This Draft class is too strong for that.
The player you’ll get through trade will likely not be as good as the one you could draft
Habs should of took Lazzard instead of reinbacher pop corn and this year get a defense I really do see red flags with our GMS all tho they have done good also but worried I am a bit
They just waived Gignac also not major thing but huge red flag guys fast, Great for penalties kls and was just lighting uppp in laval, in the age group he was the solidified 4th line center n penalty killer but hey hockey nothing always makes sense

I'd be fine if it's parekh. Kid looks insane. Just because you have a ton of dmen already it doesn't mean anything. You can trade a good young dman that you don't need for a really good forward. Kind of like anahiem with cutter. Parekeh is gonna be Karlsson with better defence
Montreal does not have any defensemen with the upside of Parekh, Dickinson, Silayev , Yakemchuk...or even Buium; so drafting another defenseman might not be a bad idea...if the forward they really need is already gone !!!
why has berkly catton dropped out of top 10?
his size will make Catton fall outside of the top 10 as it did for Benson last year !!!
have you jokes even seen parekh play? parekh is the most electrifying d man this draft. maybe even of all players. dude can skate, shoot, join the rush, run pp. can do it all. need an ot goal?parekh can do that too as sat. nite ot winner proved. skated from blue line in and around d and flipped it into net from side angle. leads ohl d men in goals, second in d men pts. to assist man bzrsecwitcz. if parekh drops past 10 big mistake for many teams.
