የሰፈራችን ውዱ ምግብ ቤት እና ሳይለንት ቤት ነው
In the 80s I used to go down and up to my school along that same road by Castelli. I remember my stomach churning from the aroma of flavory food belched out by the restaurant's chimney. You could see diplomatic vehicles parked out by the road. All these years I had never seen the inside of the restaurant beyond the door. Thank you EBS for letting us have a glimpse of this famous restaurant.

በጣም ነው ደስ ያለኝ ከብዙ አመት በህዋላ ካስቴሌን በማየቴ በአሁኑ የግንባታ ሁኔታ እንዳለ በመሆኑ ያለው ጥሩ ነው በብዙ ትዝታ ወድህዋላ ሄጃለሁ ::በቤተስብም ደረጃ በጣም የሚታወቅ እና የተወደደ ነው ::እዚህ ላይ ጣልያን በሌላ ጎኑ ባለወለታ እና ብዙ ስልጣኔዎችን ያስተማረች እንዲሁም ከጦርነቱ ባሻገር ለስራ የመጡ ኡትዮፅያም የተወለዱ አገራችን እንሄድም ብለው እትዬፅያን ሀገራችን ነች ብለው ቤተስብ መስርተው እየኖሩ ነው ይህንን ብዙ ስው ያውቃል ::ተወዳጅ የሆንውንም ፖስታ ለኢትዮፅያውያን ያስተማሩ ጣልያኖች ናቸው ብዙ ብዙ ማለት ይቻላል በጥቅሉ

በጣም ይገርማል ካልተሳሳትኩ ቮልቮ ነበር ስሙ ከ40 አመት በፊት ከካርሌቶ ጋር ሲሰራ ነበር የማውቀው ብዙም ለውጥ የለውም አልካቴል የሚባል ድርጅ ት ሰሰራ በወር ሁለቴ ለbusiness lunch አንሄድ ነበር ምግባቸው ከነሸራተን ይበልጥ ነበር

Perhaps things have changed…
14 years ago I went with my family and faced discrimination for being Ethiopian in the land of my birth. We had waited until they opened, and when we went in, the gentlemen there insisted that we speak in Amharic not in English though he was white. I thought it strange especially since there were some none Ethiopians behind us (white) also waiting to come. He told us that they could not accept us as we had kids with us and that they don’t have space for kids. We left.
I confirmed it was due to us being Ethiopian when I called them after we left and with my most American accent I asked to come to the restaurant with my kids. I was welcomed with open arms- including my kids. Strange that when they could see me they don’t have space for kids, but when they can’t see me they have space for us all.
I have not returned since, but heard from many others that there is clear, well-known discrimination in this restaurant.
Again I hope things have changed…but for me, this is a painful place and I still don’t intend to return.

Everything about the antique restaurant is wonderful. However, I am concerned that despite being open for 67 years, the owner still doesn't speak fluently the country's official language. It's important to respect the country where you live and do business by learning the language. you should speak Fluently. Thank you.😏
Those attending in this hotel are affluents who have amassed fortune either by plunder or corruption. Of course such mega rich people, and icons like Teddy Afro may not be lumped with these big time tugs frequented sumptuous Castelli Hotel whose exorbitant price tag shielded the down outs from having good time in Castelli.
