I saw you in a match with the Tempest Mk V a few days ago! It actually inspired me to use the Tempest Mk V to grind out the Hunter since I was having trouble carrying with the Spitfire LF. After a few rough games previously, I was happy to be the one to get carried.
Unfortunately, you somehow died pretty quickly...but it made me realize that sometimes, no matter what you do, or who you are, Ally Tier 4 is a huge fucking shitshow and you need to pray to RNGaijin that one fucking mine shell won't split your plane in half when you try to avoid a headon. That was pretty much the motivation I needed to keep grinding.

the tempest v is one of my favorite planes to fly and a i agree that it was better a few years back but i still do fairy well in it. it's also my most played plane with 978 battles.

My experience in basically every allied plane that I don't camp at high alts with is the entire team dies, 2-3 people jump me from above when I'm looking for targets, I almost escape but one of them hits me with spray from 1.2km away and I take enough damage for them to catch me. I'll try flying into them then diving away instead of sideclimbing in the tempest I guess.
If you sideclimbing you aren't helping your team in the first crucial minutes of combat where the match is usually decided.

Hey Adam! Can you make explanation vid about top speed of planes? ( Is it possible to reach it or be close to that). Also maybe T-shirt with bigger logo on center? ;) As always, great vid.
Top speed is fairly straightforward. By definition, top speed is the speed you can eventually reach. If you're talking about reaching stat card speeds, sometimes you can't reach them and sometimes you can go faster than them, stat cards are mostly inaccurate.

There is another AF on the map and allies should be able to use it, it’s the one that you respawn on test flights with Italy, that was such a nice match, ppl always make mistakes and sometimes it’s not possible to win a match against 6 enemies on the allied side.

The FW 190 A4 is the plane for me. I really don't know what it is about it but it just fits me like a glove
I think it's the best FW Anton. Good performance with a low BR. All the other FW Antons are pretty bad compared to what they have to fight (their high BR doesn't help).
The F-8 would be the best imo if not for its higher BR (meaning it has to fight ridiculous opponents).
The 2x20mm at 4.3 is the one I like.
@@AdamTheEnginerd oh yeah, the A-5/U2. I don't have this one but at the same BR than the A-4 I'm sure it's good. Only 2 MG 151 but thats all you need in RB ^^

@@AdamTheEnginerd Air RB against Germany was already rough but the 288 was the final nail in the coffin. Just impossible to enjoy the 4.7-5.7 range because of how they have dominant planes across every category facing planes that the average Allied pilot just doesn't know how to fight and perform with. I still get some good matches in the D-28 and Tempest but they're getting few and far between.

I've been a sub for almost a year now and when I heard your voice for the first time, in a technical vid about the 109's G series and K performances I think, I really thought you have a nice voice so use it more often instead of the subtitles, but thats just my opinion, of course. That was back in December! I think subtitles is the more relaxing medium for the usual gameplay. I really can't talk for 10 minutes.
Bonne viédo comme d'habitude, par contre je n'arrive pas vraiment à comprendre la mécanique des limites de map. Le respawn me semble aléatoire mais j'imagine que quand j'ai un ennemi dans mes 6h mon cerveau doit plus tout à fait fonctionner correctement x)

Je crois que ça dépend de la distance depuis laquelle le message apparait, par exemple si tu rentres 2km dans la limite tu respawn.

When you say poor turn , always remember that anything that turn better bf109 is consider decent turn
I have the 190C and i can confirm is the slowest 190 at that BR, slower then some Antons too. What makes it 5.3 is what i think is its ability to just not compress, and is a above average Dog Fighter granted you stay above 300 IAS. Below that and youre done.
I will add tho, its good in the vertical and it has above decent landing flaps. In a dog fight, ive kept up and killed many spitfires how are stupid enough to roll instead of turn, thanks to these flaps.

Also my most flown but in SB ... Great visibility , good guns, bombs, turn rate Is quite good and speed Is great as well . Overall my fav for tank SB as both support and assault.

Gamer_Kid_Naz From my experience on using the F8F-1 (only because of the 5.0 downtiers), it’s different from most other planes that use an R2800 engine like the Corsairs, P47s, because the F8F IMO is not good high alt. Your best bet is medium-low alt because that’s where your climb rate shines. Avoid entering and dogfights/BnZs where you are exceeding more than 650 km/h because the lockup is atrocious. Personally I play this plane as a support plane assisting friendly spitfires that are diving etc. Hope this helps a little.

You should do a vid with the Sea Fury, besides that one dual video. It's a nice plane in my opinion, BnZs well, energy fights well, and has decent manueverability. Also it's one of the fastest props.

Most of the time in Air RB with props after 5 min 2/3 allied planes are shoted down. Why? These are main resons:
- no side climbing
- half of allied team are bombers
- low lvls players in allied team
- doing ground pounding in fighters
- maybe more difficult planes which need more knowledge to flying efficiently
- german bombers are fast and can shot down some fighters before they died, allied bombers usually are slow, free frags
So If I want wining on allied side then I have to play in full squad with aces otherwise I can get only cancer.
Good times have passed for tempest.
That's what makes it a challenge and fun.

You should have just dogfighted both of them at the end after you went headon with the 109. Maybe they would be brainless and you would win the 1v2 turn fight. Focusing on the 109 first of course. Yeah I should have, but G6 was right on me and I would have likely died regardless. The enemy team knew me though, can't surprise them.

Maneuvering Energy Retention. Essentially it's a measure of how much energy (speed) an aircraft loses when turning. I know I should not trust ingame stat cards, I heard the german Tempest is worse due to lack of octane fuel upgrade but in preview the german one have 300hp more then the spaded orginal? Is this false or is the german Tempest better now?
No it's the opposite, the German once has worse octane and less power than the British one.

Yeah I have flown and spaded the Tempest Mk5 and it just doesnt do it for me after having flown better 5.7 aircraft like the F4U-4B or the Spitfire Mk14e and especially the Ta152H, and now that I have the Hornet, i think im set. Even though the Hornet doesn't turn as well, its still faster, climbs better, has an airspawn and better high alt performance and just as good of an armament, and has just as much endgame potential should there be a bomber stalling and i dont feel like chasing it. At this point I'm wondering if the Tempest Mk2 is worth it considering other 6.0-6.3 aircraft.
Yeah Tempest Mk V is just fine at 5.7, F4U4B is significantly. Tempest Mk 2 is a decent 6.0.

I would like to know where you find all these Axis players that patiently wait for .5 km to start shooting in headons and aren't so good at hitting deflection shots at shockingly acute angles you'd think they had an AEGIS system operating their guns.
Euh didn't you see them shooting from beyond 1km? They had significantly better aim in this game than in my usual ones anyway.

Can you fly the me410 B6 R3 please? the guides for it i have read say its a bomber hunter but i am never able to climb fast enough to catch any bombers.
Me410s are on my list, but they aren't very good.
That brings back some memories. Tempest V used to be my fav plane. The speed and firepower were truly amazing, although it did suffer from 'Allied teams syndrome'.
By the time you did anything all the P-51s and F4Us were dead.

Worse. Not sure when you played it, but it used to be better 3 years ago. It got nerfed in high speed handling. Now F4U4B is better than it in nearly every way at the same BR.

@@AdamTheEnginerd yeah well i still suck. i normally play tank Rb but your game play looked like a lot of fun so i tried air Rb and then i figured out that i in fact do not like the American aviation tech tree even though it is my highest rank/ BR tech tree for planes. i switched to big Slav tech tree and i like it a lot. i have learned that Swedish 8mm sucks against everything.

Ah, the Tempest Mark V, you know, before I played war thunder and was just into ww2 planes since childhood, I never really like the spits, for me, it was the typhoon and that tempest. When I first joined war thunder, I ground to the typhoons, but my main grind was the 109s, and I never thought I would grind to the Tempest, and I got the discount on the German one so I bought it instead, but quickly learned I wasn't skilled enough to play at tier 4.
Fast forward 5 years and I still haven't played it a bunch (23 ab 9 rb), and I have the Brit V working on first modules. You think I should focus on one plane instead of hopping around all the time? My German Temp V is 15 kills 11 deaths, and I could use the silver lions and RP, the Brit I could use the progression.
Or should I pick something easier to fly that I need to spade like the G.56 or well I have a lot of tier 4 planes to spade. Including the F4U-4 and B?

You should do what you find most fun. I recommend giving the Tempests another try now though.

@@AdamTheEnginerd See, the idea is, and this is lingering from some 100 players, that maybe you should try for a set number of kills in a vehicle, like 1k in arcade I would guess less in something else, but the idea being it would help you develop aim and muscle memory, and I kind of want to refine at one plane. But then again, its tough to stay put.

Je ne comprends pas pourquoi Gaijin a ajouté cette carte/opération aux autres cartes aléatoires en RB. C'est clairement une carte d'Event : un design asymétrique mais que l'on peut équilibrer avec un line-up prédéfinie et un nombre de joueurs aussi asymétrique. Bref, un événement historique. En plus c'est pas comme si on manquait de cartes en Tier 4 : Norway, Sicile, Rhur (qui a disparue on dirait), Traversée du Rhin/Cologne, Normandie, Hürtgen, France 1944 sans parler des 2 cartes plates/fades de désert et des cartes contre les russes.
Pourquoi, Gaijin ? Pourquoi est-ce que cette carte est jouable en RB classique ?

Si Gaijin est intelligent, c'était pour récolter des données sur le ratio de victoire lorsque les alliés ont un airspawn lorsque l'axe ne l'a pas.
F4U4B est plus rapide en fait. Il n'y a pas grand chose que le Tempest fait mieux.

Je me suis référé à la fiche Google de The_Kiwi pour la vitesse max du Corsair F4U-4B. C'est possible qu'elle ne soit plus à jour.
Oui j'ai un fichier de vitesse maximale au niveau de la mer dans la description.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Ah ouais au niveau de la mer, je voulais dire en général. Le Corsair est plus rapide que le Tempest entre 0 et 1000m mais à partir de 1000m le Tempest devient plus rapide (entre 20 et 30 km/h de plus) ^^
Non le Tempest Mk V n'est pas tant plus rapide à 1-2km qu'au niveau de la mer alors que le F4U4B oui, et donc la différence de vitesse s'aggrandit.

Yeah it does take up a decent amount of time, and I'm always looking for ways to improve my content and make more interesting videos. Working full time atm so I couldn't do more than 1 video a week even if I wanted to.

Could you do a video on Fw 190 A1 for a bit of a challenge?
Pros:
-very good roll rate
-LOTS of mg ammunition
Cons:
-awful turn rate
-gains and loses speed quickly
-low cannon ammo
-difficult maneuvering (rolls and turns when it shouldn't)
190A1 is fine imo, it's on my list!

I have a question, when it comes to spading, what do you generally go for in terms of order of upgrades? Like do you do weapons first, then survivability, then flight performance? I am just curious how you upgrade your aircraft.

As far as I know the Fw-190C has 500kmph top speed on deck and 570kmph at 5000 meters. That's pretty slow.
What br is the 190c? thats even slower than the 190A1

@@soyderiverdeliverybeaver8941 Well it's because it has better turn time and can sustain damage from what I know. Normally a lot of elevator authority is needed to gun down other aircraft after they overshoot. Some fockewulfs even lack that. The Fw190 already has excellent dive top speed and the best roll rate for its br. So I assume you take Spitfires with you in a high speed dive flight and make them overshoot while they are compressing after which the good elevator authority allows better shots and better chances. Also wiggling is a lot less in the 190C which is a HUGE relief for most Fw pilots. However I'm not sure at everything I'm saying so I guess Adam can only answer you the balance "issue" with the 190C. Oh by the way it has great armament so there's that.
But overall handling is the reason why the Fw-190C is preferable to some.
Otherwise the Fw-190D9 is still the absolute best in my opinion.
