Everybody on the ship get they're own stateroom and bathroom the food is like eating at a restaurant every meal because you order off a menu prepared by the chief steward. What are your thoughts on the engineering Ratings like Machinist mate, Enginemen, Gas turbine technician, Hull technician and the others ?

    • @theofficialdaveharris8794
      @theofficialdaveharris8794  Před 4 lety +2

      Engineering rates work long hours just like the cooks. sometimes they are the first ones to arrive to the ship and the last ones to leave at the end of the day. They also stand a lot of watches, monitoring the engines. With that being said they are very skilled at what they do so it is very common for you to find good work on the civilian side.

    • @LauraZorza
      @LauraZorza Před 4 lety +1

      All of those ratings now offer big bonuses after your initial contract providing you have three years of EP evals. And as Dave stated, you are set up for a good civilian job.

    • @stevenmajicmike
      @stevenmajicmike Před 4 lety +1

      Laura Zorza What's EP evals ?

    • @LauraZorza
      @LauraZorza Před 4 lety +1

      Steven Parada, EP is Early Promote ... EP is top performing, then there are MP (Must Promote), and P (Promotable). Each category (EP, MP and P) has a different number of points to help you advance to the next pay grade. I will be making a couple videos on this topic next month.
