New York Intense is top shelf stuff for me. I liked New York, but it was too light on my skin. I blind bought a 30 ml bottle of New York Intense in 2015, which was supposed to be closer to vintage New York. At that time I was 29 and living in Phoenix. The photo of the bottle you have in the video thumbnail - that's my photo which I uploaded on Basenotes. I wore it for at least 10 times before I was able to love it. I finished that bottle in a year, and currently have close to 250 ml of it. I like both Pour Monsieur EdT and Equipage, but they don't have that depth and complexity.

Ny Intense is an amazing masculine fragrance. It smells fresh and clean and has a mens shaving foam kinda vibe going. It's very easy to wear also. You can wear this anywhere.
if you like this you should try Beau de Jour too mate, I think you will like it.
@@SmellsGoodfragrancereviews I tested it today. It's definitely a masculine scent, but its very basic. It reminds me of the cheapest shaving foam I used to buy for around 1 euro. It's pleasent, not too overpowering, but I've smelled cheap old spice that smell more intriguing and interesting. I think its way too pricy for what it is. Maybe I need to give it more time. Some fragrances need more time --- like Oud for Greatness I didn't like at all at first, but with time I learned to appreciate it.
@@SmellsGoodfragrancereviews I gave it some time. I like grey vetiver better. It's in the same genre but is more floral and fresh to my nose.

This is such a good review. You have got to be one of the best reviewers on CZcams. Thoughtful, knowledge. It's hard to watch other reviews. (I'm not sure I'm completely on board with your formality & age of wearer associations - I simply don't have these strong connections with scent although I amusing read that others have them online.)
Love the new camera and audio setup-excellent quality. I too really enjoyed sampling NYI, and found that its opening reminded of another classic: Eau Sauvage. The dry down differs significantly, borrowing more from the chypres you mentioned. Definitely a well composed scent I may have to pickup one day. As always, thanks for your thoughts!
Thanks Peter, yeah I agree, theres another subscriber who pointed out the similarities to Eau Sauvage. Definately worth an FB if you are not perturbed by the similarities to Equipage. Very high quality scent though :)

Great picture and audio
Got a sample vial from a friend and I agree it's mature and well composed. I'm 43 yrs old and can definitely relate it to others I've smelled in the past but nontheless a really nice creation. Sound and picture quality were both good imo. Take care.

Picture and sound are better and nice. Review was great as always: detailed and comprehensive while efficiently presented. Unreal (as usual?) have a sample of NY Intense on the way from ebay (with Penhaligon's Sartorial purchase finally!) as of yesterday. Had to check the hype; couldn't find a Cuir Cuba Intense sample; planned on buying a Nicolai frag on principle - woman power! Aside: Liked Blue De Chanel Parfum way more than edp (can't do melon) or edt. May get a bottle or larger decant to go with my small but powerful and Bleu-less Chanel collection. Congrats on the upgraded equipment!

@@SmellsGoodfragrancereviews Don't remember if i told you but lunar is a bit strong at first but give it about 15 minutes... sit back and enjoy the magic! One of the rare occasions where I've ever smelled a fragrance and immediately bought a full bottle before putting the decant down! Lol.... It's hands down the greatest vetiver fragrance ever made. Two sprays lasts for days on my clothes.

Thanks for this video. You're right about the hype this fragrance has been getting, not only on Instagram but also in the Facebook groups. I've tested it more than 5 times in a bid to understand the hype. It has amazing quality, no doubt, but it smelt a lot like Dior Eau Sauvage EDP (2017 version without the heavy dose of myrrh). So, I agree with your review in its entirety. The new camera performs well. Great job.

Hello AC. The new camera is outstanding. Very crisp and rich image. The sound quality is great as well. The auto focus did not pick up the vial clearly when you held it up, but that may be due to the limited time it was in the frame.
There could also be different settings for how the camera prioritizes focal points. I would read the manual thoroughly as the default setting may be a "mosaic" or wide area focus. More than likely there is a "center balanced" setting that may help with that.

Thanks for the feedback on the A/V my friend. Yeah this Camera has a lot of settings which I am trying to understand. The focus I am using is Continuous Face tracking which is the latest Canon AI thing but it does allow 2 other settings which I will try out in the future videos.
Actually this Camera is a lot of fun for both still and video photography.

I wear it four days a week. For a workplace/inclusive perfume that does not induce my coworkers to cringe I have had great luck with it. And it has enough of an 'old school' vibe to make me feel comfortable. Many of the newer niche/designer scents these days leave me less then inspired.

Audio, video is great! The past audio was really not good. This is great.
Looking good champ, another tip might be nice light source also, can usually get a soft light box fairly cheap off amazon.

Picture and sound quality are on point, I've smelled it few months back and it was same opening like you described in this review and I quite liked that. As you said it's costly that's definitely a downside for me. €170 is a huge amount for 100ml. Overall great review sir.

Smells Good a package came today. It’s Oud for Greatness. I’m not blown away by this one, but it’s different and simple and very masculine.

This was okish , I liked Cap Neroli and patchouli intense.
I see.. I haven't tried Cap Neroli yet but have tried Patchouli Intense and didn't get all that impressed by it TBH. It smelled like fresh green pepper on me LOLz.
Possibly your confusing Styrax, which is a resin note, with Hyraceum/Hyrax which is the animalic note.
