As for the review, nice review, I have noticed in the last 6 months high quality modern fougere fragrances have made a comeback thanks in part from the momentum of Gravitas getting a lot of lime light and praise by frag com, will need to try NY iIntense at some stage.
Thanks! Yeah you're right. I'd like to see more new releases in this genre. Classic chypres or fougeres are great to me.
I actually enjoyed wearing my sample of NYI during the summer. It's not overwhelming at all in high heat at least that was my experience. Lovely scent. Great review.

Nicolaï is doing quit well in France and is respected with reason. I believe she has 3 boutiques in Paris? I am a fan of this house. I love NewYork intense , Amber Oud and Cuir Cuba. I think Patchouly intense is next. Good review, thanks!

I think New York is better but both are great. It's been a long time since I owned a bottle of Portugal but maybe I should revisit it and compare both.

This fragrance is very classy, but I think it's (on my skin at least) slightly too animalic for the office.

I'm not a big fan of the brand, got cuir Cuba and I don't care for it at all.

I was not crazy about Cuir Cuba either. I liked Patchouli Intense but it was too dry on my skin. People didn't like the way it smelled on me. I really enjoyed NY Intense.
