    Mark this is a fabulous video! All the shots have been together in an incredibly seamless manner. I have been to England a few times but I stayed only around London. The region this video is shot in seems like a marvelous world of its own! In the U.K you get the best of both worlds; the updated suspension and a facelift while keeping the same 9000 rpm F20c motor which was no longer an option for us in the U.S after 2004. Enjoy your S2000 and thanks for sharing such quality content.

      Hi there and thanks for your really nice comments which are so rewarding to receive. The panned outside shots were filmed by our Parish Council chairman, Richard, the rest by yours truly. If you are in England, the Cotswolds Region is about one and a half hours from London.
      I do appreciate how fortunate we are to have kept the 9,000 RPM engine, however I don't usually accede 8,500 revs myself. If you happen to visit my CZcams channel there is a brief clip of the replacement, ultra low mileage, red S2000 which will feature in my next video. The black car has gone to a good chap who is an S2000 enthusiast.

    There is not a review I have not seen, a forum or article I have not red nor a bolt I have not touched personally on this majestic creation. This machine, your " review " and added scenery and words to go along with, in my humble opinion and HUGE bias towards this Honda vehicle. You have done the S2000 the most justice here on CZcams.

      Hey Garrett, you certainly seem to have lots of love, admiration and respect for the car! I myself have been a huge fan of the car for the last few years. And have just started my journey to save up and buy one.
      I was financing a brand new 2021 Honda civic, and after 2 years, I sold it and purchased a 2006 Honda civic with 33k miles in cash!! Using this extra money I hope to cash flow more into my s2000 savings.
      I’m considering buying the car in cash, as I wanna stay away from financing, but I wanted to ask you; what is your opinion on the current market value of the car?
      Should I go for a car that’s near mint? Or should I shoot for one that’s around 60-100k mile mark and pray it hasn’t been tampered with too much?
      Ideally I want one with the least amount of miles and as close to mint as possible for the sake of truly enjoying the car, but you know they get more expensive the lower the mileage. And if I’m buying it in cash, it’ll take me forever!! I WANT IT NOW!!! Lol
      What do you say?

    • @ohgoditsgarrett2204
      @ohgoditsgarrett2204 Před 8 měsíci

      Hi, yes, I will absolutely answer your questions! Do I agree with the market pricing, I surley do. Once you shift to second for the first time, you'll understand and accept why you waited and paid the extra thousands than you would have say seven years ago before the jump in appreciation.
      Which is good, not many vehicles are(:
      I bought my 03 in 2015, yes, go ap1 man, no question, in 2015 from a honda dealership parked right out front like a ball room spot light was shinning upon, blinding me. It was over right then. I paid 15,500 seventy six thousand miles.
      A well-used one is great for knowledge in wrenching, re maintaining those say 140k parts. I would really only buy honda parts, blue honda oil filter, spoon makes a few parts, so does ballad for some miscellaneous parts I would choose over honda oe, but very few, but I really feel honda built this car to last, made to rev and drive hard, and just keep doing it, after twenty years on my chassis and damn near adding 200k miles, I have not had to do anything major. Mine was like, a 2% percent under mint. LHT PERFORMANCE on youtube will help you with just about anything, whole channel is dedicated to this car, other than billman250, John and George are the wizards, and I have not yet found a question I have searched for on our forums s2ki.com, that I have not found.
      100k mile or a mint one, well, a mint one nets you a mint s2000. Fixing a 100k or buying mint, I'd dare say probablely would equal the same money spent, you just have it sooner. But still one thats hardly been touched, still has that honda showroom dust to it, that's a special honda 2000. I have a seventh gen civic as my beater. Yes, I want a gt Porsche , but other than that, no, next purchase of mine is a Japan spec chassis shipped here using HPLogic in Florida. Buy it, you'll know the one, like, they pick you if that's not too crazy to read.
      Any further questions or iterations, whatever, write it down here. I'll answer it.
      Wherever that day comes when you purchase, and after your mind finally lets you out for the day...let me know!

    • @Country_Car

      The English roads are great and we take them for granted so I really feel for you. However we both have an 2007 Honda S2000 but I am not sure if yours is the 2.2 lite AP2? with a bit more torque? Lovely comments from viewers like yourself have encouraged me to start making another video this summer, probably in the Cotswolds area where I live. Already I have footage from running up the Prescott Speed Hill Climb near Cheltenham. It's the first time driving off the public highway and I learnt so much about the car's wonderfully balanced handling, even on nearly new tyres. It's a short twisty road with challenging corners and I had to change down to 1st gear for three of them.
      I am guessing that you live somewhere to the south of Ontario. It is 8 times bigger than England which explains your distance from more interesting roads. Please let me know your car details as I feel that Canadians, although geographically a long way, are very close to us in the UK. Best wishes, Mark

    • @Country_Car
      @Country_Car  Před 3 lety

      That's an interesting range of vehicles Jeremy. I spent all of my career in oil and gas (pipelines and installations) much of it literally in the field. As you can imagine over the years I think I must have driven every combination of 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder petrol, 4 cylinder diesel, long and short wheelbase plus a forward control. The light-weight model escaped me though. However my first 'car' was an ex-army Austin Champ with a 2.5 litre Rolls Royce waterproof engine.
      Did you know that Land Rover enthusiast Richard Hammond likes the Ford Bronco - praise indeed? There is no short answer to your question. Some die hard enthusiasts think it is too car like inside but they haven't looked properly. It's the toughest, most capable off road Land Rover to date and wades much deeper than the old model. All the reviews are of top of the range models which kind of misses the point. Personally I believe that it is spot on but a bit too expensive, starting at over £40k in the UK.
      There is only space for one second car in my garage and that is a Honda roadster and I need a sensible economical every day car which is a 2020 Polo GTI.

    Well shot and thought out video. Some great shots of the scenery
    I would disagree with your thoughts on the steering; it’s simply numb and offers little to no feedback. It’s a disappointment considering the rest of the traits the car has that you mentioned. Thankfully because of how the car drives and feels when on it you can forgive this issue.

      Fair, the s2000 is not known for it's steering feel, but keep in mind that was Honda's first stab at electronic steering and it was developed in the 90s. Since then, it's been over 20 years other manufactures had the advantage of "time" to develop.

      The AP2 sold in the UK kept the 2.0l 9k redline engine, whereas the AP2 sold in the US (and possibly some other markets) came with the 2.2l engine which had more torque but a lower redline.

    Amazing production and scenery. I enjoyed seeing the s2000 driven in the type of roads Honda intended--this is where this car really shines. I have a 1999 MX5 and a 2008 Honda S2000 and both deserve a special place in automotive history. The MX5 biggest advantage is that it is a fun and playful car; its light weight makes it more fun on corners, and the MX5 has a much lower cost of entry, since so may were made--however, the Mx5 required more upkeep, although parts are cheaper. The s2000 is a more purpose built and serious performance machine. It is built around a beautifully engineered engine and transmission which MX5 cannot touch. I love the s2000 so much that I did a 4 part buyers guide in my CZcams channel:czcams.com/play/PLmxdy5YlEKfY33IJaQ3kNBggEdu7zRQZb.html
    The MX5's broad appeal to a wide range of buyers (even those who prefer an automatic transmission) is the reason why Mazda has been successful in making a business case to keep it production for over 30 years. I do not believe Honda necessarily intended the s2000 to remain in production for the 10 years. The s2000 is a point in time car--more special and a whole other level of build quality (Honda was really making a statement with this car---no expenses spared in overbuilding it's engine and transmission--as Honda delivered a 50 year gift to itself). I have been an s2000 owner (or steward) for over 10 years and God-willing, I will always have the means and health to drive one. Looking forward to the video of your recently acquired mint s2000. All the best.

      It's really interesting to hear from an experienced Honda AND Mazda spots car owner; you have the best of both worlds. Your comparison highlights the fact that they have very different personalities. After making the S2000 video, when the car was up in the air for suspension geometry adjustments, I discovered both front tyres completely worn on the inside so it's amazing it handled as well as it did.
      The black S2000 has been sold to an enthusiast and I have purchased an ultra low mileage 2007 red model which will feature in my next production. Meanwhile I might make a short mid winter garage start up and tyre pressure check video for something film.
      I have subscribed to your CZcams channel which looks very interesting indeed. Best, Mark
