True story: I found out I was broke up with my ex when he married someone else. He neglected to break up with me first. But Karma is a bitch.. and sometimes she lets you watch... 8 years later, he came home from work and found her in bed with his best friend! How do I know this? He called ME when she threw him out on the coldest day in the month of January. I took joy in listening to what happened, then sprung on him I was married... he thought it was my brother who answered the phone.. I absolutely LOVED telling him it was my hubby! Happy Valentines Day!!!
I never cheated or been cheated on, hell I've never even been in a relationship, but I was once sat in McDonalds with an old school friend after we bumped into each othr while shopping and her boyfriend came over and started accusing her of cheating on him with me. It was a very awkward 10 minutes of him shouting at us and the McDs staff asking him to calm down or leave, calling us both all kinds of nasty things without letting either of us get a word in edge ways. He finally stopped when I stood on my chair and yelled at the top of my voice "I'M GAY YOU D***HEAD!" - I'm actually trans and hadn't come out yet - and he just kinda stood there for a minute stil mid rage while his brain tried to work out what was happening. At this my friend stood up and goes "After dealing with your stupid s**t for 2 years I think I'm gay too" with that she grabbed my hand and we both walked out just as the police that had been called by the staff turned up.

My friend cheated with my bf in high-school. I was still somehow invited to her birthday party. I wouldn't have gone, but my brother had recently given me "trick diarrhea powder" for fun? I took full advantage. I bought her a drink. Acted like everything was cool, no big deal. This poor girl sh!t her pants right in the middle of a movie theater in front of her new bf (my bf), all of our mutual friends, his friends, and the entire movie theater. We all stood there watching her make the most awkward faces and sounds, like "what's happening." I probably wouldn't stoop that low now that I'm an adult (just leave right?), but it's a pretty epic moment to get back at a shady, prissy, mean ass bully like that. At least once in lifetime. 💁♀️

Had it happen to me once. My first boyfriend stood me up and went out drinking with some other girl that night (no idea which one, the dude had a revolving door of “other women” who didn’t know they were side chicks, including myself), then broke up with me the next morning when my dad threatened him for standing me up on Valentine’s Day.
I was never angry with my dad for that. He’s a good guy and he was just looking out for his daughter.
It’s just like any other day of the year. Betrayal isn’t worse because of the date.

My ex wife cheated on me with a literal garbage man. Then she started hating everything I did. Seriously couldn’t even breath without her starting an argument about it. Our divorce was finalized in July.
Their relationship was all rainbows and butterflies, till a couple of weeks ago. Now she asking me, if I want to move away with her and start over. Talking about how family is so important to her and it would be better for our daughter. Haha nope ain’t happening.

I’ve never been cheated on, but my parents divorced because my dad cheated when I was a teenager. He had an affair for at least a year without my mom knowing and to add insult to injury he caught me in the middle and told me not to tell my mom. She was heartbroken when she found out and especially devastated when she found out I knew!
TO THIS DAY: he still denies he did anything wrong. When the divorce was finalized I bounced back and forth between the two houses and him and his gf (who would later become my step mom) both became incredibly verbally, mentally, emotionally and at times physically abusive. Then kicked me out at 16.
I’m disgusted with them both and we still don’t talk to this day. They’re both f*cked up and they deserve each other imo.
I was already happy as a single woman on Valentine's day but this video is the cherry on top that I didn't know I needed.

I’m always so wary of the videos like that guy posted of his “gf” cheating in the park. It reminds me of a guy I had dated and broke up with, in his head we were still together even though we hadn’t spoken in months and when he saw me kissing my new dude at the park during a basketball game he decided to start a fight. Literally delusional.
Also the last one. Didn't he just said the message was from years ago when they weren't dating.
My ex did something similar to me…except he broke up with me lol…then when I didn’t beg for him to be with me and whoever he probably was pursuing didn’t want him, he started following me…and said we were together. It was a mess until a family friend called him out. That entire relationship was traumatic for me.

Exactly, some of these guys were way to eager to humiliate the other person on social media.
I have to say this. Take these with a pinch of salt. I know too many men who accuse their wives/partner of cheating, just because they feel insecure. 1 guy left his wife to take her baby to the hospital every day, a burn which he was responsible for, and accused her of cheating on him with every male person who saw her, taxi, postman. And another got high and invented bs from scratch, then proceeded to slander his wife. Why? Because she was running the house and he couldn't. 5 kids, a full time job and chronic health issues. So many entitled egos.
Well that's just blunt narcissistic behaviour.
I was talking with one 50 yr old lady, whose 2nd husband was narcissistic alcoholic and it was same pattern: she worked, he drank at home. She was cheating, in his mind, everywhere and with everyone. She went to check on her elderly dad, she was accused cheating with her own dad etc.
But ofc with social media there will be also fakes for attention.
Accusations are not always insecurity. Suddenly accusing of cheating is one of the most common signs of accusers cheating aka projecting - and it happens with both genders,not just men.

I was single for 16 years. Didn't really date and just focused on raising my youngest child. When she was 17 I reconnected with a very old friend and we just hit it off. I didn't contact him with anything in mind except catching up and it just worked out that we always really liked each other. This March we will celebrate our second anniversary. My kids and grandbabies love him and our families and extended families all get along so well. He never had kids and loves mine. He even went and helped out the youngest one's dad when he got sick. He calls my ex his "Baby Daddy"! I enjoyed being single and I support those who choose not to have kids. I never thought I would date again, much less be happily married. Stay true to yourself, love yourself and find your joy where you can. Be your own valentine, treat yourself like you'd treat your true love. You deserve it!

I've never cheated or had somebody cheat on me. However, going through my phone would be reason enough to break up with somebody immediately. That is invasion of privacy.

My parents were married for 59 years until my mom passed away. Things they never did without the permission of the other: read each other's private mail, look in each other's wallets or purse, listen in on the other person's phone calls. Granted they didn't have cell phones or texts and my dad refuses to use email, but they were both horrified that people who were together would look at the other person's stuff without permisson.
Yeah, I’ve never been in a relationship, don’t really want to, it’s too much effort, but I hate the thought of anyone going through my phone, tablet, or computer. I don’t have anything to hide, no crimes are being committed, I like my privacy. Guess that comes from being raised in a religious cult where you’re encouraged to tattle on your peers to ‘save them’ from their ‘sins’

It often is the case that people use each other's phones innocently. My husband has used my phone when his was dead to order pizza, look something up for me, etc. I have nothing to hide and couldn't care less. Similarly, his phone lock and password is the same as mine and I'm always welcome to use his if I need to. That's how a trusting relationship SHOULD be..
My ex had been texting other people and instead of freaking out or revenging. I asked him to pack a bag and leave. He did. I proceeded to pack my shit up and leave. No drama,no tearing the house up. Just silent and hurt. Destroying people and their things does not make their wrong your right. Don't lower yourself.
I agree, finally a rational comment, lol. I've been there. Adding more drama to the situation may be satisfying for spectators on the internet, but it doesn't do anyone in the actual relationship any favors. I wonder how many of these were just staged for TikTok...
Honestly, the best revenge is stone cold silence. Don't entertain excuses, don't give them a chance to rationalize it out loud, no opportunities to try and divide the blame evenly, no opportunity to bargain for forgiveness, nothing. I'm convinced the people who do such things like the drama, the emotional highs and lows, the controversy and attention. I won't feed that behavior with a reaction.
10 seconds of eye contact in complete silence before walking out says everything there is left to say. I'm good with words, and I know what nerves to poke in an argument to completely unravel a person, but words can't get the job done. A long, silent stare is pure agony to a guilty conscious. They stare back, desperately waiting for you to speak. They need to know how much you know, is there an excuse you'll accept, is there hope for redemption, can anything be salvaged, do you still care? Those seconds pass like hours.Then to turn on your heel\ and leave without saying a word, leaving all their questions unanswered... not knowing what you're thinking is hell to them. No resolution, vindication or absolution. Not knowing is torture. Give them nothing. Silence is the trash compactor of the soul.
If ever they cared, this will eat them alive. And if they didn't, it doesn't really matter, they're someone else's problem now. At that point, the only hope I harbor is that the next guy in line comes to his senses faster than I did. Whatever his culpability in the affair, it wasn't his betrayal. Even if he's the biggest piece of shit in the world, he still deserves better. So I'll give him all my pity and save none for myself.

I feel you. My cat made the neighbors think he was a stray and they 'took him in'. He would go missing a few hours at first. I thought he was out doing cat things. After a while he was gone for most of the day. My mom went over to the neighbors once and she saw him there just napping outside on their patio. He has a different name there and he let's that cuddle him but he won't let me do the same. That is something that makes me very jealous because I raised him since he was a tiny kitten.

When I found out my then husband had cheated on me I taught him a very valuable lesson. He had taken off and was to be gone for a month 'traveling' around on one of his motorcycles. While he was gone I sold the rest of his motorcycles, a vintage panel truck he had been restoring, all of his leather riding outfits, all of his boots, all of his motorcycle parts, his trophies from past motorcycle events and some of his specialized tools. I then threw out the rest of his stuff including photo albums of his family. When my ex left he didn't tell me he was leaving and left me with a mortgage and all the bills that he had been paying half for. Don't EVER burn me because I will burn your ass and you will sit on the blisters.

No one nagging me and upset that I want a couple days to myself, no one talking shit about my closest friends (the ones who stuck by even as I my personality was changing while with him, no one wagging their finger at me for having a drink or a smoke (while he would try to hide from me when he did the same while out with friends), no one whose expectations I have to live up to, no worries that he'll cheat on me, no one to make me feel that I'm not clean-cut enough to bring around his parents despite how often he spent time with my own family, no one to have a problem with my cats, no one who gladly accepts when I want to please him sexually while I get to go literal years without getting the same in return because he "felt weird" about doing the to women, no one to give me hell about my career choices, no one who makes me feel like my mode of dress or personality or choices will cramp his style.....
Until I find someone who's as loving and trusting and accepting and expressive of himself to me as I have always been with them, then I'm happy to go another year being alone.

Locked phones were a huge issue with my first boyfriend, who cheated on me with multiple girls (one of which I’m fairly certain was a minor). Ever since then, I’ve given my partner(s) the capability to unlock my phone and electronic devices and asked for the same level of transparency. It’s literally never been an issue with anyone else since.
On a silly note, it has only ever backfired ONCE:

It was one of those color-changing mugs that was plain until you put hot tea or coffee inside. The image was the Skyrim, “Hey you’re finally awake.” scene and I was planning on surprising him with it at a later date. 😂
Oh well. It’s worth the peace of mind to me. Once you’ve been cheated on, it’s something that’s really difficult to get over.

I know a couple that literally just share phones. They have two phones in the house and will just pick one up randomly at the start of the day. It may sound extreme but she had a REALLY bad situation with cheating once and needed that security. He has no problem with it and happily does it so there is no harm. Maybe it doesn't work for everyone (like with your unlocked phone one) but if both sides are cool it will only lead to a stronger relationship.
Not gonna lie...this has me worrying just a little bit. I do hope, you never fall prey to someone, who will take advantage of that level of trust. Keep in mind, that it's super easy to get a second phone with a prepaid card for 'secret business'. Your business, on the other hand, would be wide open to them. They could lock you out of your social media accounts, buy stuff in your name, send people messages in your name...and so on.
Just because you had great luck in your partners so far (that first one aside), doesn't mean, you won't fall for someone narcissistic/abusive/manipulative etc at some point in your life. It's less likely, if you're smart and careful, which I'm sure you are...but don't think, it could never happen to you. A lot of people thought that, before they had their life wrecked.
And then they get one of those throw away fones and use it on the side...

I feel like if I lived with someone who would have a problem sharing their phone with me, I would really question the relationship. And seriously, how are you dumb enough to leave concrete evidence just lying around?
My husband and I use the same code on our phones and iPads. We still don’t check up on each other. Don’t have to. We’ve been together 16 years and this is NOT how my previous relationships were. Those were toxic af and while I was loyal 100%, I was constantly questioned and snooped on because THEY were cheats.

Who TF are all these people going through their SO's phones? I mean, cheaters need to get caught and kicked to the curb, definitely, but if you already don't trust your SO to the point you going through their phone on the sly, should you really be together anyway? I just don't get people, I guess. Then again, I'm honest, and so is my wife. Never had trust issues when I was dating anyone. And, FTR, I know my wife's PIN, and she knows mine.

My fiancé and I now currently have each others PINS, phone codes, and everything like that-I've never once had him peering over my shoulder even though he has all this info on me. He could easily catch me if I was cheating and I wouldn't be mad if that was the case. But there's a difference of "I thought you were cheating and I went looking" and this game that one dude was playing where you know he constantly looking and pretending like it was just casual to look through someone's DMs for 'family memories'. If you have a reason, by all means, look. If you a snoop, fuck you.
You know that two people are made for each other when one is the one buying a phone for his gf so he can control her interactions (the "and the family... sometimes.", with no friends mentioned, bit was great) and she is the one who is cheating on her bf with the phone bought by him.

i assume no mentally healthy person will go on crazy snooping spree through their partners things/phone, unless they already started noticing subtle signs that something is going.
