Personal advice: Don't ever cry in front of the cheater and pretend to be really cool-headed and cold about the cheating. If you break things & shout, that is exactly what a cheater thinks your reaction will be. But if you keep your calm and talk about things normally, they lose their minds. Then they start self-guessing themselves.
My ex broke my heart when I caught him cheating, with a random girl on his bday. I caught them having sex in his house. I actually planned a full surprise, got his friends involved, and got cake and stuffs. And then we knocked on the door to see him wearing his clothes loosely and heels on the floor that ovio was not mine. He lost his mind and seemed panicked, I just knew! I went into the bedroom and saw a girl. I took 2 mins to calm down, invited her also, and asked him to cut the cake. One should have seen his face and all his friend's face. LOL. The moment he cut the cake, I told him that this was our breakup celebration. In short, he cried and begged, and I didn't look back. He lost his mind and stalked me like crazy for some months. Had my dad and brother involved, who threatened him to finally have him give up. 3 years have gone waste.
Went back home and cried. But I didn't want him to see the satisfaction of seeing me hurt.

The next time I go into the Chinese restaurant (which I go to all the time, and am on a first name basis with the owner) she tells me, “your husband was here with another woman!” I died laughing, and told her thanks for having my back 😂. I'd only consider my husband going out to a meal with another woman cheating if he didn't tell me about it, like he was trying to hide it, and there were romantic feelings involved. I think that's the deal for me, if you are trying to keep it secret then you cheating. Otherwise, both my husband and I have friends of the opposite gender and I wouldn't care if he got lunch or something with one of his friends. However, we typically don't hang out with anyone else without each other, and he better be bringing me back some food lol

Two schools of thought here. I occasionally go to lunch with women (although I like to make it several people). I never cheat and so have a clear conscious.
On the other hand, I think my better half might be a little insecure about it, so I usually do not burden her with it.
Bottom Line: Cheating is destructive and we should just never do it.

True Story - I was married and my husband did not come home after work on a Friday. This was in the late 80's before cellphones etc. I was beside myself. I contacted his family and we phoned all the hospitals, police stations and mortuaries in our city. By Sunday morning we were all frantic and the entire family and friends were driving around the city looking for his car. By pure coincidence ( to this day I believe divine intervention) I went to a part of the city I had never been before and Lo and Behold found his car parked adjacent to an apartment complex. I knocked on the first door I found and lady there said I should check upstairs in the apartment above. I walked up the steps and there was a little window by the door where I could see the lounge area. There was my husband and MY BEST FRIEND entwined with each other on the couch. I knocked on the door and some dude I had never met answered. I glared at him and said " I'm here to see my husband" . He backed away from the door in absolute fear and I stormed in and confronted them.

The question is if you're still happy in your relationship or if you feel so unhappy that you want something else. I would try to solve the problems and if no attempt of solving helps there is no other choice than to end the relationship. Cheating is never a solution. I think it would be better to talk about the wishes oneself has and if the partner doesn't agree either find a middle way or end the relationship. Cheating is being selfish and disrespectful. Being honest is the better way.

My cheating story. Lol. I was out to lunch with my co-workers at the time I was dating him. (I didn’t share who I was dating with my friends or family. Because I wanted to see if we would last and to see if he was someone I wanted to have in my life indefinitely. Everyone knew I was dating but they knew I was being cautious.) Back to having lunch with my co-workers, we were in a booth in a far corner because we like to people watch. So we were half way through lunch and in walks the boyfriend … with a beautiful girl and I have no idea who she is. They come in and sit at a table near the front entrance near the windows. I’m not the make-a-big-show type of girl. I’m the I’m-silent-hear-and-feel-my-anger type girl. I was seething and my co-workers knew something was up. I told them it’s nothing, lets eat first and take a breather and I’ll tell you about it before we leave. So we eat and I’m calm as I tell them about what just happened and they are the first peeps to know whom I’m dating. Showed his pic and pointed towards the front of the restaurant. I never knew that I had some gangster co-workers. Lol. They offered to key his car, smack the s*** out of him or take down the girl. I said no and just had them all leave peacefully but as they all left, each had choice words with him. The confusion on his face was priceless but I paid for my parties tab and I asked the waitress for my “boyfriend’s” tab too. Then proceeded to make my way to his table and placed the paid check next to him. He said thanks but as soon as he saw me, the man had the audacity to turn pale. I let him know we were over and that he can pick up his stuff tomorrow and not to call. I apologized to the girl and no s***, she looked at him and said, “you had a girlfriend?” 🤣 We left him there and she got an Uber and I fielded his calls and texts for a week.

My husband and I agreed on what we define as cheating back in the '90s when we were first dating: if you are doing anything you don't want your partner to know about, that's cheating.
If my husband's or my phone sends an alert, and the other of us is closer, we always pick it up and tell each other who's messaging them. We've started using that as a guide, even: if one of our friends sees us do this and they're flabbergasted or ask us "Why are you doing that? Aren't you worried about getting caught?" that's when we get a feeling for what THEY'VE been up to ...

I confronted him and he tried to deny it and say they were just friends (but he had lied to me about where he was and who he was with during that time, so that seemed unlikely). I told him that if he was so sure he was being honest, then he would let me see his phone. He definitely would not let me see his phone (which is what I expected). He’d been acting weird for a couple of months anyway (covering part of his screen when he showed me something on his phone, staying up a lot later than me every night, being distant in general). It was very easy to end things at that point.
I’m glad for it though because it allowed me to start dating my now husband.

There are cases when the person your SO is cheating with does not respect the boundaries or care that you're in a relationship with SO and is aware you're in a relationship and continues to go with the affair. For example, my ex (true story), met a girl, she gets all flirty, he tells her he's dating and she still didn't care. In the end, he kept this secret and any interactions he had with her a secret for 2 weeks before coming clean but dirty deed is done. So I can understand why some people are mad at the other person. I don't agree to those who are innocent, those people who had no idea they were dating someone who was taken, but in the heat of the moment sometimes you just never know or have time to know whether the other person is innocent. I think you can gather from body language and facial reactions but sometimes that could also be them being ashamed for being caught as shown in some of the videos.

Needless to say I was heartbroken and we divorced 6 months later. Many years later we actually became friends (my ex and I) and there were 2 things he said to me. Number 1 - how on Earth I had found them. Number 2 - It was the worst mistake he had made and his life would have been so much better had he not cheated.

This young married Christian couple were playing and the woman's question was 'wheres the wierdest place you've had sex?' She answered 'The mud flaps". Her husband started laughing and said 'i don't remember that". It was so awkward and so quiet in the room and then we could hear them screaming outside. Anyway it was bloody funny

After the cop left (and my roomie scolded me for asking a cop that) my roomie and I sat on the balcony of our condo and not 8 minutes later a guy comes out of the adjacent apartment and gets his car to leave. The cop had said he'd searched the place and there was literally no one home but the lady who rents the unit. Cheating is intent. So, if one goes out with someone else, even if they didn't do the nasty yet, it's the intent. Did your partner INTEND to cheat or was the meal together just casual friends. If casual, the partner eating lunch should say, "boyfriend, my pal from school wants to have lunch. It's a guy just so you know."

Good argument but not enough in my book.
By your logic a unplanned kiss wouldnt be cheating. Like, friends go out for fun, nothing different - but then oops, moment is right and they kiss. It happens and it deffinitely is cheating.
So too is emotional cheating (wich some people do to a really hurtful degree. Like gettign their needs emotionaly not physically fixed by someone else when their partner would like to/be the right option).
Anyhow, like i said you're on the right track, but its not enough to cover all typed of cheating i guess :/

    • @CourtneyDixonDesigns
      @CourtneyDixonDesigns Před 2 lety +7

@@ShadowWolf1307 Who unplans a kiss? If someone forces a kiss on you, it's not cheating. People don't just kiss by accident. That's an intentional action. Your partner will just have to trust you at that point that the kiss was forced. Honesty and communication is the BIGGEST point I was trying to make and go a long way. And, by your logic, getting my emotional needs from my best friend (who's a woman like me) is cheating. I don't agree. Again, I go back to my first point. It's about INTENT. Getting emotional needs from someone else other than your partner means the partner is not offering that emotional need. When you seek out emotional needs, is it to get help and just have someone to talk to, or is it to form a deeper connection with someone in the hopes of having more, who isn't your partner? The latter is INTENT.
If you have a partner seeking emotional needs from the opposite sex (or same-sex if you're gay), and you find it hurtful, then I suggest you talk to your partner and find out why they need emotional support from someone else. Don't yell it, and don't demand it. Ask, calmly and say why it hurts you. Let them explain why. Give them a chance, to be honest and not afraid so much that they lie. THAT is communication.
Edit: I would like to add on a personal note that my husband is horrible at giving me emotional support. He doesn't do it to be mean or he doesn't care. He's just horrible at it. He doesn't know what to say or do. That means I must seek it out elsewhere. I do not run into the arms of another man, but I get it where I can find it. Like from my family or friends. If people in your life are seeking out emotional support elsewhere, there's a reason and it doesn't always mean it's about cheating or leading to cheating.

@@CourtneyDixonDesigns I can see that you cant understand the situations that i am describing and thats totally okay. YOu're judging by your experiances and what you know from probably friends etc - so do i.
I have seen people go out completely not thinking about cheating, beeing great people in and out of relationships and still things happen. Your words were " if one goes out with someone else, even if they didn't do the nasty yet, it's the intent"
it didnt sound like it would include a 30-second-decision. Becuase usually it doesnt.
Intend usually means "clearly formulated or planned" or "recklessnessly accepted". Like that stuff could happen and by not preventing it you're okay with it.
By that general definition these people didnt intend to cheat but did it anyways. Its the difference between murder and manslaughter (sorry i watched to many crme shows recently so maybe thats why theres a big differende in my eyes rn wich i picked up in you comment).
And emotional cheating is now what you think it is. i cant think of good examples for it on the fly but i've seen it girl and guy friends. Nearly fell for it too.
Its kind of like sliding into a "quasi-relastionship" where you get the same dependency and/or closeness as in a real romantical relationship. But not with you partner. And usually without them picking up on it.
its not the same as just whining to a friend or something like that... and from what it sounds like you've never had it (wich is good! but makes you unable to understand my exaple i guess)
Thats the best i can describe it, having a bit of a hard time since english is my third language and these are complicated concepts.
Obviously your examples were not cheating but as i said they didnt fit what i was trying to describe. Reading some other comments on this video i'd say your comment plus some of the "cheating is about betraying the boundaries of the relationship" and i'd be satisfied.
Boundaries are set differend from and for everyone, though usually people have similar views on them.

      @CourtneyDixonDesigns Před 2 lety +4

@@ShadowWolf1307 I also have about 35 years of dating experience and have been through it all. Yes, things can just happen. We go out, drink too much, and bam, we've cheated. But when that person presses their lips to yours, you KNOW you are doing wrong. You choose to ignore those little warning bells. INTENDING to go through with it. Your example of an emotional need is just what I described. Again, the emotional cheating you are referring to goes with intent. You may not START out that way, but you keep doing it knowing in the back of your head it's wrong, then that is INTENT. There are NO accidents to cheating.
Someone may kiss you on the dancefloor, but if you don't push them away, and allow it, then you intend to push through for more.
Intent doesn't have to be pre-meditated.

Eating out with someone else isn't cheating however if you say "I'm going out to lunch at McDonald's" and you're actually going with another person then you're lying by omission. It takes 2 seconds to say "with (blank)" and it's just common curiosity to say where you're going and when you plan to be back

Found out my hubby was cheating on me with his ex-wife via text message. He had just had emergency appendectomy surgery, I was there every minute holding his hand ,telling him to squeeze my hand when he felt the pain.. worried all day, bathed him, prepped him for surgery, was there with him till they kicked me out. Brought his phone home to charge it. Plugged it in and started getting slammed with messages from her. Needless to say he had to find a rids from the hospital and a new place to recover.

I’m so sorry that happened. What goes around, comes around and it will definitely come to bite him in the butt one day. I hope you’re doing okay ❤️

@@naruhinastarr We actually separated for a while and worked on things. Since she was in a different state and they weren't actually physical, I was able to forgive him. We have been going strong and have never been happier. I still check his phone though. I may have forgiven but I haven't forgotten.

@@cylversprings I’m happy to hear that! Oh yeah, it’s hard to forget about something like that, and that kind of mistrust can take a while to rebuild.. I’ve been there. I’m wishing you guys the best!
