    Nice setup! Definitely a refined sound for that price point. Nice bug!

    Correct me if im wrong but if the manifolds has an inch and a half outlet to connect to turbo is having a 3in gonna make any difference ?? I was so disappointed when i saw my new "upgraded" k04 flange size..

    I have a 2003 gls 1.8t beetle with the APR stage 1 tune. I like how it's quiet and quick, but at the same time I want to do resonator delete and replace the muffler with a flow master fx one

      a cutout would be a great option! I recently posted a video of a cutout on the Beetle. Good way to get good, loud sound when it’s open, and then go back to the way it was when it’s closed!

    Man I just got an 04 beetle 1.8t turbo convertible, I used to own a Saab 2.0t and Volvo 850r that was making 350 on a 19t on e85 at 22psi I was hoping to see more of your project, I’m planning on doing a k04 or maybe a an 18g Mitsu turbo, I’m miss my boots coming on like a freight train my Volvo used to spin 3rd when rolling onto it, the instant torque of the small k03 is nice but I wish it had the top end

    Gotta 1999 beetle, currently got a loose exhaust so might as well take it to a shop and replace it with a 3” catless

    How was the drone in the cabin when driving it? I wanna get a similar setup on my daily and don’t have the money for a $600 exhaust

    • @cartermaneki
      @cartermaneki  Před 3 lety +1

      at highway speeds there was definitely a little drone, but it was nothing too bad. We no longer have the car, but while we did it was a daily driver and we had no complaints

      obviously ran the classic P0420 code for the catalytic converter being pitched in the trash. You could remedy this by using a spark plug non-fouler as a spacer, or what we’re doing, getting the car tuned (video coming soon!)

      we don’t believe so. it has the Take 5 wheels but the interior doesn’t match that of a color concept

    Was this a straight bolt on from the Jetta kit? I seen where you commented that the exhaust tip would not fit, would it require cutting the bumper a little to make the exhaust tip fit? Hopefully you see this, I know the video is a little old according to CZcams standards lol

    • @cartermaneki
      @cartermaneki  Před 4 lety +3

      yes, the kit we got was for the golf/jetta. If you cut a slot in the bumper for the tip it would exit without an issue. We ended up having a tip similar to the stock on fabbed up, so that it would exit at a slight angle and not risk melting the back bumper

    • @cartermaneki
      @cartermaneki  Před 4 lety

      we got ours on Amazon, but they’re on eBay and a bunch of other sites too. The exhausts are for the golf/jetta 1.8t but everything other than the exhaust tip fits on the beetle
