    This is perfect timing, as I've been looking for a small console style TX that has decent functionality

    I myself am a Flysky remote lover. The screen makes things so easy!

    im just getting into the construction side of the hobby and although different types of rcs they move the same i find your videos more helpful than most construction channels

    I switch between the FSi6x and a Turnigy evolution pro. I like the feel of the turnigy, but it took me a long time to find one in stock somewhere that shipping didn’t cost more than the radio.

      yeah shipping costs can be a real pain especially for TXs

      @@TeamPanicRobotics I wish I could say I had the advantage of being in the US, but I am not sure that really is one with most electronics.

    This looks like an awesome controller. Do both of the sticks return to center when released? in the video it looked like only the left stick does, and as a fan of tank drive this is an issue for me.

      Only one does for the controller I have, but they seem to be using regular RC sticks which means you should be able to make them both do it by adding a spring to the other side (most RC transmitters can do this)

    How would you compare it to a Turnigy evolution? I have loved that transmitter for a very long time :)

    • @TeamPanicRobotics
      @TeamPanicRobotics  Před rokem

      I dont really know sorry. I havent ever used a Turnigy evolution
      I did look at them at one point but heard you cant mix on them so I never bought one

    • @MikeysLab
      @MikeysLab Před rokem

      @@TeamPanicRobotics yeah mixing is a challenge, I created a Arduino library to consume iBus signals, so I can mix in the robot and generate degree and phi values for each stick using a bit of trig.

    Are there any remotes similar to this form factor that have a throttle/variable trigger and bumper buttons (like traditional Xbox/PS controllers) instead of just buttons in the trigger area?

    • @TeamPanicRobotics
      @TeamPanicRobotics  Před rokem

      I dont know of any.
      There arnt many radios in this form factor to start with

    Being dependent on a phone/PC app is a hard no for me. No guarantee that the app will work in a few years time. I've got an action camera that I can't change settings on because the app is dead - and the company is still going making cameras!

    • @TeamPanicRobotics
      @TeamPanicRobotics  Před rokem +1

      Yeah relying on a phone app is a no go, it will die sooner or later which is why I gave them props for a PC app, windows is still backwards compatible for software released before I was born, so its more likely that you'll be able to keep using that into the future
      Still very much understand the hesitation though

      @@TeamPanicRobotics I got the android app from the play store last month, so that has improved. Also, never had any issue connecting the transmitter via BT. What I HAVE had issue with is finding the parameters app in English for the PC. Also any windows softer released before August 24, 1995 won't work on a modern PC.
