Christina, I am a correctional officer and have been following your stories (both personal and criminal justice related); I am extremely proud of the growth you have made throughout your life. May god bless you and way to inspire a generation of folks
I know your comment is a year old but I just wanted to say that I think it is so nice of you to say the wonderful things you did to Christina!! An "atta boy" really does go a long way!! đ
Thank You for your service and hard work.
The serial killer installing your home security system is ironic.
Ted Bundy worked as a counselor for survivors of R, while he was doing so.... đ©
@@LauraVittadini he was? I thought he was just working at a suicide hotline
â@@ellie5995 That was one. He did A LOT for the community, which was why so many people still believed he was innocent while he was in prison. There was another support hotline for abused women that he volunteered for at one time. He did both, and while he was working for the suicide hotline was while he was working in Olympia as the Assistant Director of the Seattle Crime Prevention Advisory Commission. He received an award for the being the author of the pamphlet that he authored for women with steps on how they can avoid being R'ed and everything!
Bundy also shoplifted constantly and got away with it. He also received an award for being SO helpful as he was catching shoplifters all the time! It's insane how many people he had fooled, and probably still does. His daughter was conceived during a conjugal visit while he was imprisoned, as his partner still didn't believe that he had ever done ANYTHING wrong.
Twisted!
âIs this an inappropriate jokeâđ€Șđ

This guy is just talking unbothered as if he's talking about yesterday's picnic.
He WAS unbothered...and for Dikkhead Dennis..it was as fun as a picnic for a normal person.
Was there a picnic yesterday?
Disturbing aint it
A sign of a true psychopath. No remorse, no conscience, no empathy.
Why would he be bothered.
I don't know why people thought he was a "nice, average guy" - he creeps me out just seeing him, then add his voice and probably his vibe. How horrific and most disturbing.
Because he looks like a dork.
People wear masks
He sounds like he's from the south to me
I know right lol
He reminds me of Mr. Feeny
I studied criminal justice and yes they HAVE to keep the actual DNA as evidence just in case it ever goes to trial. They actually have to keep EVERYTHING.. bloody clothes, ropes, etc. If they threw it out all when the case went cold they would never be able to take a case to trial if the person was ever caught. On a side note you have me cracking up on some of the things you say! âI have questions, Paula.â
I do too, but also knowing the trauma this woman has experienced, I feel SOO bad for her.
I laughed at that too. I laugh at a lot of things Christina says. đ
Thank god thatâs part of criminal justice. Thatâs how the officer caught Dennis Rader and Gary Ridgway and they got caught in very similar ways with the dna.
His confessions in court were scary. He was so calm and matter of fact. Shivers.

I am from Wichita, KS, and this story was such a huge part of our lives! My parents would tell us about him when we were little as a cautionary tale about how we should behave if our home was broken into, and what we should do to try to prevent it and be safe! Then, he popped back up and it was major news- people were suspecting their own dads and uncles!
Weird story, but when we were little, kids would play pranks- like make knocking noises on the walls and yell, âBTK!â Or pretend to be BTK during tag- like he was a REAL boogeyman for us!
I live in the burbs of kc an wasnt even born when in 91 but definitely rocked the whole state of kc

I'm in Omaha, NE and was telling my stuck up b!tch of a supervisor about BTK (before he was caught) and she was like "there is no serial killer in Wichita I'm from there I'd know" not long after that he was caught. She always called me dumb behind my back so I hope she felt like an idiot lol
My mom lived in Wichita around the times that BTK was most active and he followed her home from work at 2 AM one night and then pulled into her driveway behind her and asked her for help with a flat tire. After following her all the way across town and out into the boondocks where she lived. Fortunately my grandpa came outside with a gun and scared him off.

They're among us at this very moment. Some will be caught, eventually and some may never be caught
Obviously you've never been in prison. Walking through the dayroom you are surrounded by people like this. I know because I used to work there. Now what will get you???? Every time you go to the large grocery store, the mall, ect.... You are still surrounded by these very same people. Thereâs a big correlation to head injuries and psychopathy. Thereâs also a correlation between chronic back pain and personality disorders. Itâs so interesting.
I'm not sure psychopathy is quite the correlation, but yeah the impulse control is one factor I know plays into head injuries. It's just, he's soooooo meticulous and narcissistic, I'd be more inclined to believe this is just full blown narcissism
I need to look into the chronic back pain connection now wow

The daughter, I can almost understand not knowing what her dad was up too.. but, I canât imagine the wife not knowing that there was something severely wrong with her husband!
His daughter wrote a book
Never
I think the daughter had every right to write her story. She wasn't profiting from his crimes, she was sharing her experiences, and profiting from that.
It's a shame this Bryan guy( Idaho) somehow has a connection ( from what I'm hearing) to btk
Yeah it would be crazy if there was somehow a connection which seems like a far stretch but the Idaho killer was studying crime so it wouldnât be impossible. The only reason I came to this video is because I just got done watching the latest video by Christine on the Moscow murders
Sally Perzanowski, apparently one of idaho guy's professors has closely studied btk and communicated with him extensively over the years
@@DoeMeNeek Yes, Dr. Katharine Ramsland is a non-fiction author & professor of forensic psych & criminal justice at DeSales Univ. She communicated with BTK while writing her book about him. Brian graduated from DeSales & apparently took her class prior to moving & going to WSU.đŹ

In the daughter's book she said her dad acted super concerned when it came up and really stressed to them to always lock their doors and make sure the house was safe. He's definitely sick. He's a parent and he could stand to hear small children screaming in terror, and harming them. As a parent myself, ANYTHING that has to do with a child crime or hearing my daughter cry when I have to leave - it hits you right in the gut. Its heartbreaking to hear your child cry for you. So to me, I doubt this man even loved his own daughter. Because wouldn't your mind just keep playing your children's faces as your attacking another innocent child? I don't get it and I don't want to. This man is SICK.
Yah I agree, I canât even watch spooky movies with kids in them anymore
@@calamitynatalie8590 it's hard for me too. And also movies where animals are hurt. I just can't stand those things. Its absolutely unnatural.
Yes, even tho I am not able to have children myself, my heart can't stand to hear, see, or know of any harm coming to anyone or anything that can't defend themselves. Ppl like this don't deserve any thing, he should be made to go through the same thing he did to all his victims... Sry not sry.. There is NO reasons or excuse (trust me I have been through more than this man ever did as a child) to harm a child or animal
Iâm not a mother but I do have those instincts, whenever I hear a crying baby/child I feel the need to find that child and right things again, even when my younger brother was out of sight in a store I kind of got antsy until I see him again
It's because he doesn't see them as people. They are a tool for him to get his rocks off. He gave his victims as much worth as we give used toilet paper.
BTK is why I got so interested in true crime. I remember when they caught him; I was 15 and was so floored at what I was hearing on the tv. I always watched Unsolved Mysteries and Americaâs Most Wanted with my grandpa and I remember AMW, I think, doing a segment on him as it was all unfolding. Just unbelievable, this guy.
I don't blame his daughter for telling her story and taking whatever profit came her way for it... Could you imagine trying to get a job or build a career when you shared the name of BTK ? Could you imagine the assumptions people would make about you and your own mental state?... And it is her story to tell. She didn't hurt anyone and she didn't break any laws, why is it so bad that she made some money telling her story, but it would have been perfectly fine for survivors of S. killers to tell their stories.
absolutely agree. She is a victim. She needs all the money she can get to fund all the therapy she inevitable needs. I've watched interviews of her speaking of the constant nightmares and PTSD she endures. Good for her for speaking out and finding anyway she can to heal herself.
As a daughter of parents who worked all the time and spent A LOT of the time with my grandmother, I didnât spend very much time with my parents and have very few memories with them, but Iâm not out here being a serial killer or a murderer. He needs to stop deflecting blame for his actions to other people, be a man and own up to his actions.
Another great video, Christina, thank you!! Youâre so great đ
I agree
Iâm surprised he didnât try to be his own lawyer and defend himself like some other maniacal narcissists
You're so right and I hadn't thought of that. Narcissists, sociopaths and psychopaths do often like to defend themselves because I think their proud and love the attention. They believe themselves to be the smartest one in the room like Ted Bundy and Jodi Arias.
He doesn't strike me as as self-aggrandizing as many of them are. It's probably why he got away with as much as he did for as long as he did.
There is something very OCD about him..
He was way too smart for that.

I never even heard of Dennis Rader until we moved to Wichita and he resurfaced after so many years. The newspaper stories were so horrible and scary. You would be out and about looking at older men around you wondering if they could be BTK! Needless to say, that when he was finally caught , I could've danced a jig of glee and the city was so relieved. Especially for the families and loved ones who's lives he ripped apart.
I went to college with a girl whoâs mom was a police officer that handled him when he was first arrested. Her mom said he was super polite and charming and you would never think he was a criminal (let alone serial killer) if you didnât know. It gives me the chills thinking about that.
It makes you wonder what people are really up to when we arenât looking
Exactly u would never know
He gave off a creepy vibe though
Yes it is chilling
Super interesting! It seems to me he has that persona as it helps him to identify and then target potential victims, he wants people to trust him hence some of the types of jobs he had....who wouldn't trust a compliance officer or the alarm guy interested in protecting people...this is what people that operate the way he does banks on...a sense of trust....im a nice guy!, oh you dropped something let me get that for you, need help with your bags?, I will stop by the side of the road to help fix your car.
As soon as we give over a little piece of ourselves to predators like him that hide in plain sight were done for unless your sense of fear completely takes over which may allow us to walk away unscathed although maybe shaken because we listened to our gut/intuition by declining a potential offer of help or a ride home on a rainy evening.
When fear overtakes it can allow us to break free, fight back, make a run for it, scream, shout, attract attention.
We have all felt fear of varying degrees at some point, I personally have just completely frozen and I couldnt speak, I tried so hard I remember. People who have managed to escape or avoid close calls with very dangerous people like Dennis Raider, Ted Bundy etc. say something just overtook them and they fought back or took a risk in order to get away that they wouldn't even consider in their normal day to day run of the mill life.
If this interests you I can highly recommend the book/kindle version of
The Gift Of Fear by Gavin De Becker former FBI agent, it was written over 20 yrs ago, he's been on an Oprah special in 2009 talking about the way criminals operate and how they choose victims etc. The book has been updated to reflect the way society is functioning in more recent years based on issues such as internet use, information being more freely available, mass shootings, gang violence, changing statistics & demographics etc. to name a couple of socio-economic factors. The prologue focuses on some of these factors as it sets the book up for us to understand where he's coming from and the language used as it may not line up with peoples opinions, preferences or reflect completely where we are now as a society or country (I'm from the U.K.and for me it didnt affect the tone of the book.) Something to think about as alot has changed in 20 years + it remains a constant fact that people continue to kill for a range of reasons, desires, needs.
The book focuses on how we all have the ability and intuition to recognise when something just doesn't feel right and how fear can protect us and is there to help extract us/cope if found in a terrible traumatic experience like what Dennis Raider and unfortunately many others have & will continue to put victims and their families through. It really will make you think differently about people that we come into contact with and your own safety and those who are precious to you.

I don't really like how the court gave him a platform to publicly speak about his crimes. He thoroughly enjoyed it. Someone should have just read a statement for him. He's so beneath contempt.

Last not forget Joshua Miles on Saturdays!!
No matter how normal someone seems- there is always evil people.. This man must have a demon inside of him. There is a reason we "cant picture" doing stuff like this. It takes a special kind of evil.
Thereâs evil in everyone itâs just levels to it.
I agree and there is true evil in this world. The way these killers can compartmentalize their life. One side is the loving husband, great father, friendly with neighbors and active in his church. Then behind the mask is like you said, pure evil.
Itâs an interesting statement, i just started watching a series called âthe purgeâ and i was trying to figure out how all these people wanted to kill and then i realizedâŠyou really donât know peoples inner desires.
Itâs so scary!
As a human you have free will, does not mean you should act on every thought. He is a monster who acted out every thought.
Imagine being his daughter with how sadistic and controlling he is. The guilt of not knowing also.
Iâm so confused why people would be mad at the daughter for writing a book about it. She lost her dad and had no idea the kind of person he was. I think that itâs was probably very therapeutic for her and helped her financially while she was struggling with the realization that the father she knew while growing up was a crazy person. I just donât understand.

His daughter has a book out. I think its called Daughter of a serial killerâŠ
@@brooklyn.d2390 I wondered the same thing. So funnyđ€Łđ
Right!? Ha!
During the height of his killing spree he and his church group toured the local tv station that covered BTK every night. He actually had a picture of himself with the news anchors. No one had a clue. Crazy.
Those pictures of him playing dress up are the stuff of nightmares.
I think the most chilling thing is thinking about Dolores, and how they (her and BTK prior to her murder) would wave at each other and say âgood morningâ so casually as neighbors... Iâm never gonna look at another kind neighbor waving at me and saying âgood morningâ the same way ever again! Oooof so scary and chilling.
Donât let fear cloud humanity. Wuhan flu showed how fast people turn into SS officers out of ignorance.
I have a friend who used to play with his kids back in the day when she lived in Wichita, Kansas. She said that eventually parents got bad vibes from him and didnât want their kids to go over there anymore. So creepy.
No.
He was a âniceâ guyâŠbut there had to be red flags. Kudos to those parents for paying attention to those said red flags!
@@paulm1690 whatâs ur problem

@@lona1103 You, you are my problem.
I live in Wichita and worked at a nightclub during his "comeback" and him saying he had picked his next victim already had me terrified to walk to my car at the end of the night. Really to do anything alone was terrifying for all of us women during this time. I'll never forget the fear we all felt at that time and driving past his victim's house still gives me a chill.
Wow that is absolutely terrifying đ° glad youâre okay!! đ„șâ„ïž
Glad you were safe from him!
HELL NO⊠đ°đ so terrifying!
I am so happy youâre okay.
Every victim had their telephone line cut prior to their attack. For YEARS my mom would check the telephone line before we were allowed to go inside the house. When he resurfaced so many years later, I had young teen daughters at home and we began the exact same process. He was our boogie man.
I've been watching you for years and sooooooooo happy to see you almost at a mil and receiving sponsorships there's no CZcamsr I know that deserves it more....xoxoxo luv ya girl!!!
Woaaaaaah, I clicked so fast!! I was born and raised in Wichita. I remember how terrifying this was when he popped back up. Its cool to see someone covering this, nobody really has!

Praise God. Welcome to the familyâŁ
I went to school with Dennis Rader's two Nephews and when it came out that he was the BTK killer they had no clue that it was him and were shocked
That's super crazy no one knew
Now this guy is terrifying in his total plainness.. i cant imagine what that Otero family went through and that was his FIRST TIME! He took out a familyâŠ
" No need to bark..." That whole part of the story was hysterical.
đ the delivery was flawless
One of the things that disturbs me the most about Dennis Radar is the way he just stands there telling the court what happened in such a matter of fact way.
I had heard of but never heard the exact story of this man. I literally cannot. Itâs entirely disturbing how much narcissistic people get off on complete control and recognition of their behaviors. I personally think that people should experience the horror they inflicted on their victims as the punishment for their crimes.
The casual way he describes his crimes is absolutely chillingâŠ.
Dennis: "Oh you're uncomfortable while I'm attacking you and your family? Let me fix that." Like dude WHAT. Every time I hear about this coot I'm still stunned by his actions.
" I'm giving my killer 5 stars!"
Itâs bc he wanted to make them think they had a chance to live.
True story-I was in Wichita the day he was arrested. I was eating at a diner when tons of LE cars go flying by, one after the other, and then news breaks on the diner tv announcing BTK was arrested blocks from where I was....terrifying...I was only in town for the day!
That's crazy
this happened in my hometown and man it shook us all.. his pride and ego got to him.. he was uncaught for 20 years but once the news said he's dead or in prison he started writing letters again like "nope.. i'm here." and then he was caught and everyone was shook af to find out who it was.. shit was wild and i'll NEVER forget it!
âI knew himself was nastyâ girl you had my busting out laughing đ
"I have questions, Paula!" đđđ girllll me, too!
Too funnyđđ€Ł
Iâm friends with a guy that told me that his parents were friends with BTK and his wife. They said he was rude and arrogant but the wife was really sweet and didnât want to talk about what happened after he was arrested. I feel so sorry for his now ex wife and family.
I'm in Wichita too and it seems like everyone had some kind of experienced with him or knew someone who did. My in laws are in Park City and saw him bunches.
My 11 year old daughter has your intro memorized and when she just heard ur voice she jumped out the pool and ran over to act it out!
Christina Randall, you should do one on Dr. Gosnell. He was caught in 2012 for killing women that came into his clinic

I agree... That was my first thought when she said that
One of my friends lived down the street from the BTK. It gave her chills after she heard about him. She had moved before he was caught.
I just watched the daughter of BTK give an interview speaking on how her father may have been in contact with the Idaho killings suspect. It's wild. Made me wanna come watch this video again.

Lmao I died at the end when she stopped mid joke âis this joke inappropriateâ đđ
Hi. I live here in Kansas City MO. No joke, I went to school with his nephew and his Dad is BTK's brother. Me and the nephew are still friends but don't talk often. Nephew lives off grid, like literally he might shoot me a message once a year to check in when he goes into the nearby town. Not sure if his parents (Dennis brother and wife) are still around in the same house. I feel bad because the whole ordeal is what caused the nephew to live off grid. I honestly can't say enough nice thing about the nephew. We have a lot of good memories together.
The way I CACKLED at âI got some questions Paulaâ
He is one scary man. The way he talks about what he did like he went to get milk
I've seen a few documentaries about him on ID, I think he eventually wanted to get caught and just got so arrogant/cocky. Definitely one of the sickest, evil, sadistic,
As someone of the BDSM community I DIED when you said âno need to barkâ đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
I read his daughter's book last fall and it just broke my heart for her, and it also really drove home the duality in his life. She'd talk about things she was doing with her dad at the time, then she'd compare that with the timeline of what happened when she found out later. And it really was mind boggling.
Even all she went through being harrassed by the media and such too.
It really shows these killers leave an entire ripple effect of harm in their path, even outside the victims and their families.
My boyfriend and I literally finished the show Mindhunter yesterday where they talk about him. Neither of us had heard of him before. Now I can get him to watch one of your videos. đđ
Iâve watched that series a couple times. So cool and close to how to was. Nice timing for
Yâall!
Thatâs such a good show!!! Iâm so sad they only made 2 seasons! đ
The third season was reportedly supposed to be about BTK, which is why both.season had random scenes depicting him and some talk about when his killings started. It was a great series but I will never forgive Netflix for letting them tease me like that and then cancelling the show
@@lisamarple8873 I know!!! I was so mad about that. I loved that show

I live in Wichita, Ks and lived minutes away from his house in Park City when he resurfaced! Absolutely insane
This is the first true crime case that got me into True Crime.
I like that he was his own undoing and the fact he is no longer harming people. The crime scene photos I saw were upsetting, especially the girl of the 4 member family he started with. All those poor people.
I'm from Wichita and took a whole class on BTK in college, it's so fascinating and terrifying. The detective who was partnered with Landwehr, the main detective, taught it. He brought out tubs of evidence for us to go through that they found in Dennis' office, including bags of pictures he used to lick while he drove around while working. I did not touch those.... But he kept journals and appointment books where one day his daughter was born and a few days later he wrote that he had killed someone. Nasty dude
