Ah one of my older guides where many a mistake were made. This guide is outdated now with some of its aspects even the follow up video to some extent but this was an oversight on my part.
Max charge top heavy is a better option as you say providing you can correctly gauge max distance to the wall. Still I'm happy to pin this for others to see.
@@Mattman_90 I'll make a full guide myself. So I was looking at other conq guides. Also heal on block is not viable for dominion anymore and punch through got buffed to 56% of the original attack. Max Punishes also changed across the board. Good vid though keep it up ;)
@@heavenly2596 Yeah I'm aware of the changes, I made a follow up video for punishes way back when but as you say some fest changes happened and I'm outdated now.

Something I've learned on console, if your opponent is an assassin they'll most likely side dodge strike so the all guard feint is a good punish for those pesky assassins. (Low to moderate level fights only)
It's ever so satisfying pulling off that flail uppercut! Even if they don't fall for it, throwing out a top heavy from all guard beats out any guard break attempts. Conqs top heavies have low GB vulnerability.
Good guide bud, as a conq main I approve, though the hard hitter moniker referrers to his stunning capability with the shield bash.

I just started the conq, i cannot believe how much he got nerfed, seeing your vid makes me wish i can do those zone attacks and charged parry. :(
This was a very very old video. Conqueror is far stronger now than back then. Damage values were much higher pre-CCU and now zone attack doesn't block or can be held down but that's really all that can be considered nerfs.
Conq now is far superior.
Watched this video because I was just curious about conq. He's my new main and I think he definitely lives up to the hard hitter title!
He certainly does a bit more now. Back when I made this video his chain lights did less damage. One of my favourite heroes in the game!
Conq isn’t a hard hitter until you successfully pull off a multi heavy chain and drain 3/4 of your enemy’s health because they got flustered and couldn’t parry

Lol, i used catapult just the other day for a final kill after my last death. Very slow and unreliable, which is why it was such an epic moment.

Real oos throw punish is 2 heavies I believe, or, light, heavy, light, no one has blocked my third light so far when I punish, so I don’t know if it’s confirmed
I updated this guide after the patch that changed the unbalanced state. Since the new update changing guard switch delay to 100ms the optimal punish for a throw is top heavy, any heavy for 63 damage.
The punishes were correct in this video before but the update is linked in the description. The updated video was made after the unbalanced patch but before the guard switch delay patch.
Just the nature of the game changing, videos wind up outdated.
His do u have that bar for timing parry’s?
In the training arena, pause the game and select arena settings, there is a tab you can tick called 'Opponent Timing Feedback'.

@@oi3059 Conq is too safe with the zone but it's also very punishable if overused. The hero needs a lot of changes as his defence is too good with his offence lacking. He's unbalanced but certainly not overpowered.

What is a soft feint?
A soft feint is where you cancel one input with another input. So in the case of conqueror, you can press heavy attack and during your heavy you can press guard break, this will cancel your heavy attack into shield bash. (Or shield uppercut as the game calls it). Or during your heavy attack, you could move your guard downwards to cancel into full block.
So a soft feint is another input used to cancel an input. A hard feint is using the feint button to completely stop the action you were performing.

I'm afraid it is outdated now. The moveset is fine however damage and punishes have changed.
