@@oceanman4416 I'm glad you're enjoying the character. It's only Valkyrie's combo lights from top stance that are 400ms but she is fast. Shaman has more ways to open opponents up and better pressure tools.

Honestly, you are pretty underrated for a straight to the point and good guide and you would even talk about update changes like not much youtubers would. You deserve the subs including myself!
So I forgot to mention this in the video or show footage but Valkyrie's light attack damage changes just like her heavies except they decrease. From neutral they do 15 damage. 2nd in chain do 13 damage and final hit of chain lights do 12 damage.
The only exception i take to this video, would be Scout over fire flask, it increases enemy stamina costs by 35% and also increases the damage they take by 35%. Other than that, i personally take Fury, because with the combination of your first two feats, and scout, you can solo carry a fight while teams are breaking, when played properly
Good options! I'll have to try them out. Probably more effective if you know your teammates. I just like the fire flask but I'm definitely giving your set up a try!

I used to Main orochi only to find out that my noob-stomping God wouldnt work later on in the game when you go up against experience Players So i went to look for a new character to Main tried warlord and thought to myself "nah im fine" Then i tried valkyrie and oh God i really like her
@@jakubs6991 Such a shame really, especially when you consider the Orochi's in story mode have unblockable attacks. So it's already in the game, just needs tweaking for multiplayer.
@@jakubs6991 BP just needs a recovery nerf from whiffed bash that's all. I think Orochi would be fine if he just had a heavy soft feint into kick or a kick from storm rush. As they buff more characters they'll see whose still week. PK got more work done and they said they would for Valkyrie too.
Perks aren't game breaking but they certainty help depending on which ones you select. You can always opt for the gear you want visually instead. However, if you save gear that have the perk combinations you want, you can use steel to change them aesthetically so you can have the best of both worlds. Naturally some characters have better perks than others, ultimately I try to suggest ones that are useful in most game modes.
I kept dying as shaman on the field of battle (but somehow win at second or third), so this will really help for a character I want to try out! Thanks! Also, in your opinion, who has the better defense: Warlord or Valkyrie? Personally, i think it depends on what you are looking for. I’ve played Warlord a lot and I think he has a pretty decent way of protecting blows but from what I just saw, Valkyrie can punish better than Warlord, in more ways to boot! You never need to apologise for a long comment. 🙂 Valkyrie is better both offensively and defensively than Warlord. Warlord has more damage but very little access to that damage. This video is a little dated for Valkyrie. There is a link in the description to a video with updated out of stamina punishes also Valkyrie has had a significant damage buff and her decreased recovery on sweep missing means she can now counter guard break if it's evaded. MightyMattman90 Yup, two things you have to use in order to win. The sweep also feeds a lot of revenge and can really drag your stamina down. I try to not spam it cuz the you become predictable and that’s death in a 1v1.
It is risky in 1v1 and Valkyrie does consume tons of stamina trying to fight. Despite my experience with her I wouldn't know the best way to improve her. I'll leave that to smarter minds than mine.
She is if you can utilise her well of course, however in a competitive sense she's lacking. Valkyrie is my favourite Viking hero so I have experience with her, she's usable and deadly in good hands but lacks the more versatile tools of other heroes.
For some reason throwing an out of stamina opponent to the side doesn’t seem to guarantee me a leg sweep. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong? I did just like the vid. GB, Throw, heavy, light, leg sweep, but my opponents just keep dodging the leg sweep.

New punish is actually dash forward light, top light, sweep and sweep punish. Does more damage. Check the video description for a video to the updated punishes.
This is a fantastic resource, thank you! I picked up Valkyrie back in s2 I believe, but due to life happening, had to put down the old spear. Now that I'm finally able to put the leathers back on, this is just the kind of catchup video I needed.

That depends on what platform you play on and your button configuration. I always say, light attack or guard break instead of R1 or Square because people play on different systems. The inputs there are light + heavy, guard break after first swing of zone, light attack, guard break and then heavy attack.

I was so sick and tired of playing against shaman and Valkyrie so I thought “If you can’t beat annoying characters, join them”
You might find them fun to play, they're easier to fight when you know what they can do. I'd say Shaman is stronger than Valkyrie though.

She can but I think the exception is ZhanHu's zone, if the ZhanHu chooses to do a light finisher afterwards. Though I will need to double check this.

Valkyrie has everything in the game.
She has quite a lot. Wouldn't mind if they gave her a headpiece where her face is visible.
Are perks even that useful? Do i need to focus on them or can i just pick what i think looks cool regardless of perk differences

Just be careful with your stamina, if you chain too much it’s easy to run out.
Very true. Valkyrie does have this problem, one should be mindful of stamina management.

No, I mean learning what Valkyrie can do helps you play as her and against her.
It's easier to fight a character if your familiar with their moveset.
How do you stab when you trip the enemy it doesn’t work I’m new to valk
Directly after the spear sweep press heavy attack. If you trip an ally or more than one person then it won't work.

Yeah new oos is light light sweep heavy the heavy safe much slower they don’t land quick enough
