Josh Foulkes his lights are too fast and his backdash strike is fucking op because it locks onto dodges but you can parry it fairly easily. Mainly it's his lightspam capabilities

Damiaan Moors ye but if you're a good orochi you actually r1 three times then lock on them r2 dodge backwards for that attack I forgot the name of try to deflect for a wind gust impossible for to deflect n do that nnnn etc

I feel so stupid after watching this video. Not because it was bad or anything ( it was actually a great vid), but because I didn't know that when the red arrow flashes, THATS your parry window. What I would do is just hit R2 before the attack landed. It hasn't been working out for me.

Same, never knew the flash was the window, but Dark souls has taught me to land parries without relying on a prompt from a red flash so I was pretty okay relying on executing the party before the blow landed

I don't think you said it but when the enemy uses a light attack you have to party with a light attack as well. You can't just always rely on that one button it's rare but some people actually use light attacks

There is something that i dont understand sometimes parry just doest work, i press in the right timing.. but the oponent still hit me. That happend also with guard ( non unblockable hits) the hits go through the defense, this is p2p issue?

Sorry for late reply, well if you are on Xbox or PlayStation it takes longer to the hit or parry to register, that’s why sometimes when you block stuff it doesn’t even work, the Xbox didn’t register it.

You can also parry light attacks with the light attack button for a parry to counter attack for quick damage, of which you can also combo off of. (ex: ps4 Parry light atack with R1 instead of R2)

most classes can, but are limited to light attacks parry light and heavy parry heavys. in cases like the warlords and conqueror they can light parry a heavy for a quick counter. the nobushi and the lawbringer can't light parry from my experience.

Conq can only do that with heavy attacks. Warden, Warlord, and Valkyrie use lights.

Very helpful, hope you can do a video on avoiding orange/unblockable attacks whether it be from a weapon/enemy charge or shield. Parrying h this orange attacks is hard but doable. Hope to see the new video soon thanks

He just did. Unblockables can be parried and dodge. Guard blocks wont work. i'm not sure if heavy attacks will cancel...
