    I agree with you Highjak, a version with completely transparent windows would be ideal

    Awesome. Love Strikes products. Their latchless charging handle is nice. Innovative products that are well made and don’t break the bank.

    Dude. This is a great idea. I had never heard of or seen this product

    It’s nice for when your cleaning the gun especially the breach face with a brush it will keep any splash of solvent/crud off the lens

    I'd be all over this if the unit was clear and had the option for a cut out of for the rear of the RMR glass. My main use for this would be to prevent all the crud that gets caked on the front of the RMR (especially when shooting suppressed) to be able to more easily wipe it off without worrying about scratching the RMR front lens.

    Do you have a video on how you installed the holo sights on it? Got the same gun wanna do the same with mine!

    i hit the rear tab on a belt sander for a couple of seconds to clear the rear-mounted sights.

    Hmm.. I just bought one as well a few weeks ago. Mine is not very transparent at all. The dot becomes very diffused/refracted, even at high power. Yours almost looks a little different, like it’s clearer in the window and frosted on the sides. Mine looks mostly frosted all the way around. It is a true SI product too.

      That's odd - I wonder if there is some variance in the production models.

    What would you think of doing a review of previews builds done in the channel before... kind of 'greatest hits show' or 'where is it now' kind of video ?

      I might do that sometime. Could be fun.

    Was just watching your 450 bushmaster build videos. I'm a gunsmithing student in Grinnell and just completed a 450 build like yours and was wondering if the unmodified lancer mag is still working. Thanks.

      @Highjak86  Před 5 lety +1

      They're working... okay. The feed lips are a hair wide per my testing and Lancer has recognized this as they are soon coming out with a 450/458 specific magazine in a 10 round body.

      Did you modify the bushmaster brand magazine to accept more round than five? Also has it been 100% reliable or what brand of magazine would you recommending using in it that's the most reliable?

    I wonder if there's any parallax issues caused by that.

      Graham Baates I wondered the same. Will have to test for POI shift.

    The rmr is the most indestructible red dot for pistols on the market right now I’m not sure it even needs a cover. Maybe for like a leupold delta point or something like that.

    • @Highjak86
      @Highjak86  Před 5 lety +1

      I would agree. As described I see this more for covering the unit from elements like dirt, snow, sleet, and rain or any other type of debris that could make its way into the optic and interfere with the emitter essentially disabling the optic. Also doesn't hurt to keep moisture off the lens until the time to use it is needed in the case of carrying while hunting. As far as I'm concerned I see this cover used in the exact say way lens covers/caps would be used on a traditional red dot optic - not to protect the optic, but to keep shit off the lens.

    Strike Industries is cringe 90% of the time, but this is actually pretty neat.
