Thanks for the video! I've got a seven inch version of that barrel coming in the mail soon and I'm very excited.
I got a nice 8 point in Apanoose on Sunday like 40 mins before close. Was able to retrieve the .450 jacket out of the vitals. Keeping it for a souvenir. Love the channel man.
Nice!!!
Sweet gun man. I just got a G20.4 couple days ago haven’t had time to shoot it yet but very excited to! Already have some hot ammo to put it through its paces.
Sweet, love seeing the M20. It doesn't get enough love.
Love the look. IM A huge fan of the 10mm.
Thanks for the info. I've been thinking about putting a comp on my glock 20 and 21....
Shoulda put the beavertail on.... my hand has the same scar.
It has a GripForce one on it now - haha! I'm not sure I'll leave it on, but I want to shoot it and see if I like it at least.
I don't get slide bite but wanted to try the GFA, hated it.
Awesome! I've been waiting to see how this went before doing my own. Parts were already in the basket. Hitting the checkout button now.
You'll be happy! I'm still very curious to see how it shoots next to say a G20C (ported) and/or the G40MOS. I'm going to work on getting hands on both for a side by side.
Nice... just got back from desert myself... lr308 day tho.
Good Stuff!!! It came out Awesome!!! Been super happy with my G20 , gen.4 , Happy Holiday's!!! Rock On!!! :-)
Thanks for watching as always, Weed.
my comp always came off too
I would like to know more about what RMR you wine t with. I’m currently building a G29sf and am thinking about the fiber optic version.
What indoor range is that? Looks nice!
You should get a 9-25 Dillon barrel for that beauty. Make it truly special 😁. It’s great when a build works out. Im glad for you.
I've debated this too. That'd be awesome. I'm about to start the barrel search process for that - hoping to find one that's threaded. Any recommendations?
Highjak86 I got mine from lone wolf. They aren't pretty but they work and are cheap. I got the ported one but they had all three versions in stock when I got mine ( about a year ago). Have fun.
P.S. I get my ammo from double tap and underwood. If you get on double taps mailing list they do 30% off and free shipping several times a year. That's when I stock up. Enjoy!
Try Underwood or double tap which is hot stuff that is actually made for the 10mm caliber. Hornady is good ammo but they are a more high production type company not the best for your 10mm.
check out black rhino concealment holsters they have one that's about 75 dollars and it comes with all the hardware for IWB AND OWB so it's like 2 for 1 it's called TCS even fits glock 40, 10 mm yeah buddy !
When you bought the kkm barrel did the compensator come with it?? @highjak86
If you shoot it enough the slide will make all the thumb clearance needed
Subscribed!
Thinking about an identical build.
OR a similar build on a g29
Does that holster work with the comp on?
What slide is that with the rmr mount
Was that some slide bite I saw in the intro?
Graham Baates Ohhhh yeahhhhh :)
Get yourself a cheap ultrasonic cleaner for that comp. use some super green, filtered water and watch the magic happen. You’ll be happy you made the investment. I just throw the Barrel and comp in while I clean the rest of the gun.
I've had the Hornady one on Amazon on my list forever... maybe I should pony up.
Wipe a little CLP or vaseline on the lens of the light. Powder goes on that instead of the lens itself, get home, wipe it all right off, put some vaseline back on.
Well shit now I want one...
Davy Crockett was later reincarnated as Chuck Norris.
The human shrug. Blasphemy!!!
Ha!
@Lando Calrissian ...was not reincarnated as Chuck Norris.
How true about the comp Have the SW 44 comp ... as for as readability it a Glock... By for the most reliable 10 mm on the market... yes trust my life with one
Thanks cool gun
Slide Bite, Issue with GLOCK's. Does medium back-strap with beavertail fit your hand? With rockset, how will you remove barrel for cleaning? Am I missing something?
RK Harm24 Rocksett isn’t permanent. But don’t need to take the barrel out for most cleanings. It’s just easier to do so.
@@Highjak86 never used rockset so I had no clue. Just talking out my behiney again 😞
You need to try some Underwood ammo. Great full power ammo. It’s basically all I use in my Gen4 G20. Good video.
I have 100 rounds of 220gr Underwood hard cast coated sitting in my 10mm ammo can. She's up next. :)
Is it snappier than a 40 cal with the comp on??
Hard to say... would have to do a side by side apples to apples comparison.
@@Highjak86for sure, thanks for the response! I would think a compd 10mm would kick like a 40! Love the crocket special man!
First of all I'm new to your channel & KNOW JACK ABOUT GLOCKS. I usually shoot revolvers but do have 2 S&W semi's a SD40VE & A SHIELD 9MM. My question is , Do you think this Glock will hold up to the 10mm beating on the poly. frame ? My SD40VE came with the same lb recoil spring that is used in the 9mm ? That didn't work well, not enough recoil spring for the .40's power, I also reload. I did ALOT of mods. to the SD40VE to try to help the gun NOT DESTROY ITSELF FROM THE .40 CALIBER. It's basically a 9mm frame then they threw a .40 top on it ? If you shoot a lot with an original framed gun designed for a smaller caliber they tend to beat the gun up. Thanks for the vid. let me know if you think the Glock will hold up to a lot of shooting with the 10 mm.
Yeah, that's not really an issue. Glock has been producing models in higher recoiling cartridges like 10mm, 357SIG, 40SW, and 45ACP for decades. Hell, they even make a subcompact 10mm the G29. Bottom line - the frame holding up isn't a concern. Glock uses a 17lb recoil spring in the G20s which seems fine so far with these 180gr loads. There are aftermarket options if you want to tune it though. With the Glocks the frame for both the 45ACP and 10mm is bigger all around compared to the 9mm G17 etc.
Thanks for the reply, it seems like Glock did it right. Not just throwing a slide & barrel of a bigger caliber on top of a 9mm framed gun that won't handle the abuse. The recoil spring is the main concern of mine when I bought the S&W .40, it had the same lb. spring that came in the 9mm.
Why would you use a locking compound on the comp? You have to take the comp off to clean the gun!
Because after only a few magazines worth of ammo the screws backed out the the comp is loose - unacceptable. Using a medium strength locking compound is not permanent and does not mean you can't take off the comp. BUT you also DO NOT have to take the comp off to clean the gun sufficiently.
@@Highjak86 Gotcha! Did you see how well your chamber was supported for use with full power loads?
@@hardtarget2359 This one has the KKM barrel which is fully supported unlike the factory Glock barrel.
Highjak86 I have a Kkm comp on a g29 and had this issue initially. After shooting it more and tighting the screws down a bit tighter the issue seems to have diminished significantly without the use of threadlocker
Does Iowa have any magazine restrictions?
Nope, not yet (for deer). Unsure about waterfowl, etc.
Waterfowl you gotta put a “duck plug” in your shotgun magazine- 2rounds
WHAT ABOUT USING PLUMBERS PIPE TAPE INSTEAD OF LOCKING COMPOUND? YOUR STATE SUCKS! WHY NOT GO WITH ALL SOLID COPPER JHP AMMO IN LIKE UNDERWOOD OR DOUBLE TAP FOR HUNTING AND WOULD PERFORM BETTER THEN THE AMMO YOU PLANNING ON USING FOR HUNTING!!! ANYWAYS ... I LIKE THE PISTOL, LIGHT, RMR SET UP YOU GOT GOING THOUGH.
Negative, ghost rider - bad idea on plumbers tape. On the contrary, Iowa is pretty freakin' awesome. We have some great gun laws (could always use improving) and we have hands down the best deer in the US. Iowa simply requires HP ammo due to how flat our state is combined with how many hunters are out during the season... it's a safety requirement. HP is just fine for whitetail given the ranges most are shooting deer with pistols.
