    I had a Glock 20 10mm pistol and a Springfield XD-M 10mm pistol. Both polymer frame pistols and well made. However, polymer frame pistols are not made for shooting big caliber rounds like .40, .45, and 10mm comfortably and accurately. Unless you're strong with big mitts (hands), they're wearing on your hands, and it's hard to be accurate. Poly frame pistols are best for 9mm. Shoot 10mm in full-size, steel frame pistols, and you'll like the difference. Comfortable and accurate. I sold my poly frame 10mm pistols and bought Sig Sauer, Tanfoglio, and Rock Island steel frame 10mm pistols, and love them.

    Weight doesn’t matter at this point since you added the compensator to the model 20 honestly. The compensators on pistols don’t do much for felt recoil but as evidenced by the video, it makes a marked difference in the amount of muzzle flip between the two.

    • @Highjak86
      @Highjak86  Před 5 lety +6

      That has been my experience as well. Notable difference in muzzle rise, but not a huge difference in felt recoil.

    • @jimhans1
      @jimhans1 Před 5 lety +3

      clifton559 I shoot steel guns also Clifton, with both comps and plain barrel, the rear of the grip isn’t actually moving down, it’s rotating out of his hand, that’s what muzzle flip does, regardless of the weight or material it’s made of. Only way to reduce muzzle flip is to lower bore axis, add a comp, cut down on slide mass (reciprocating mass) or better yet, do all three :)
      Visibly he is having less felt recoil from the Witness, but his muzzle is barely moving with the Glock, which WILL allow much faster follow up shots.

Over all they are one of the best, most accurate high end pistols available. That budget made, poorly engineered polymer glock frame or slide would fail long before that Tanfoglio would.

I have a couple of the Witness' and would like to add the difference in the slide configurations. Witness uses a lower bore axis and where the slide cuts are, do not give as much hand purchase area, (less metal to grab) which can make it difficult to rack or chamber check. and pretty difficult when I'm hunting in the cold with gloves on. I know that this is an old video, but I own a Glock 20 and Tanfo Defiant Limited Master 10mm. I'm not sure how it's possible that you shoot the G20 better. The Tanfo is single action too, with a 3 lb. trigger. Also, the Glock reliability mantra is a myth. Glock is no more reliable than a Beretta, Sig, CZ, or Tanfo. Do some research for yourself. Glocks are cheap and light weight. In order to take advantage of the better and nicer pistols, like a Tanfo, one has to be a better shooter. Shoot them from a bench at 25 yards to see the inherent differences. Why own a Kaw Ninja H2 if you don't have the skills to ride it properly?

    I don't mean to be offensive but I find it interesting that Glock owners are like a Harley Owners they will defend their purchase regardless of the obvious facts.
    To spend that much money on a gun and have it bite you back is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. What would happen if you wore gloves it would surely malfunction on occasion.
    There are a lot of reliable guns out there that will eat anything you put in them and they generally are not the most accurate when they will eat anything put in them.
    I've got a old Ruger P89 that will eat anything I put in it but it's not extremely accurate but it's a hell of a good gun and a hell of a lot cheaper than a Glock.
