Good video!
Happy new year highjak86.
Thanks man! Happy New Year!
Loved these videos.... first shots and trying to figure it out...
Thanks for watching man!
That’s a beauty
Very cool
Bumpfire everything! -HJ86
I love my hybrid. Glad I got it for my first Suppressor. I like running mine on longer guns though like 16” ar’s and then bolt guns. Ok my 11.5” it’s just to long of a Suppressor makes it far to trot heavy and kills the point of an SBR. So mine mainly stays on my 16” SPR
My Hybrid lives on my 14.5 middy with bootleg carrier. It shoots remarkably well on that gun. Its a good jack of all trades master of none can in my opinion.
Hybrid is the best money pit to have. Good to have something to suppress all the things.
I love my hybrid. Run it on my AKs, my ARs, and pistols. Yeah, I have to swap end caps and mounts, but I can drag 6 guns to the range and suppress them all with one can.
On my 11.5 Windham, SilencerCo Omega 30 556 end cap, bootleg BCG, and spikes t3 buffer runs perfect on the full suppressed setting off the BCG. Runs well clean or filthy. Thousands of rounds on this setup. In the suppressed setting with no can it's a single shot.
how do you like that bootleg bcg? i'm eying it... not sure if I wanna go adjustable bcg or gas block...
SynFuLLLz unfortunately I don't have an adjustable gas block to compare it to. My standard gas block is pinned and I didn't want to mess with that so this is a fantastic solution. I will say that I love this BCG with a PRI gas busting charging handle for suppressor use. I have zero malfunctions or failures to lock back on empty. As fast as I can pull my Giessele trigger, the gun just works. I actually have 3 of these BCG's since I like to suppress all of my AR's. They all work. Good staking, coating, and build quality on mine
Pricey little gun. Love it
I blame the reloads until proven otherwise for any issues
Same here, Jim.
The aero flared magwell makes it look
Like a 308
And 20 rd mag
Probably ammo, had that happen with a bad batch of CCI in .45-70. Click and immediate bang
I was ordering one this week. I have a quick question I just found out it only comes with a 5/8 inch threaded adapter. .how did you get a 1/2? For the 223?
What buffer are you running?
What are your thoughts on running a heavier buffer (like an H3) and running a standard mil spec BCG like one from BCM opposed to this adjustable one? I had the pre-conceived notion that if you don't want to mess with the gas block then the buffer is the next component to tune for suppressing your gun... Not sure if hang-fire is an issue with the trigger or the BCG but seeing that makes me not want to mess with an adjustable BCG...
its probably the ammo
I just run my BCM 11.5 suppressed as is.
Someone said it... Jesus fuck I mean they put some much different shit on it. I have my BCM 11.5 and I just run the fucker
@@silverbackshooting1563 yep.
Its the mags get the brownells lol. Probly not but my wifes p mag wore out and does the same thing till you run a brownells
Sketchy reloads in a super nice top of the line ar -15 :(
My AR15 with a 16" barrel suppressed with the hybrid and 9mm end cap doesn't lock back 90% of the time either. I'm going to try a H2 buffer see if that will help.
Low back pressure can. Thats not a bad thing really. You may have to do some tuning. Me, personally, i like my long guns to be sluggish with a can on it. Try a lighter buffer. If the gun functions otherwise, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
I’m two years late but with the 46 cal end cap there’s probably not enough back pressure to run it on a suppressed setting with the bootleg bcg.
I concur
I bought one of those bootleg carriers and it sits on my peg board in my garage because I’m not patient enough to mess with it. Any update on it or anything? Btw I miss the shit out of this channel
You guys are funny...
Could it have been the click of the disconnector transferring the hammer back to the trigger (trigger reset)
Maybe... but it sounded too loud for that to me. Also, Jordan would have to get on the trigger again VERY quickly after that in order to reset and pull the trigger again, that's almost bump fire speed. Jordan also doesn't typically hold the trigger to the rear and wait to reset like I sometimes do - you can see his shooting style in the rest of the video.
My guess is that the .30 bore on the can is allowing too little backpressure to cycle with the suppressed setting
Combined with these apparent soft reloads I would agree. We have a 5.56mm endcap for this can now so we'll play with it some more.
On my 14.5" middy, bootleg carrier on 'S', hybrid with .30 cal endcap, and factory loads; I get the occasional short stroke. It isn't a high pressure can at all. .46 cal bore in the baffles. But that setup shoots so soft, I don't mess with it. Its a very occasional short stroke.
What are your thoughts on the bootleg BCG over adjustable gas block?
Without being able to factor in any long-term anecdotals I would say that it seems like a very good solution for an AR you plan to run suppressed and unsuppressed (potentially) without going through the hassle of completely disassembling the upper. Great for Jordan in this case as I highly recommend not disassembling these complete BCM uppers.
I use one in my 14.5 middy with a hybrid. It slows the gun down, noticably. I run mine on setting 4 all the time as I shoot it suppressed 95% of the time. On position 4, with the can on, it will sometimes short stroke on weak ammo. If you're having gas issues, it will help for sure.
What powder and primers were used?
I'd have to defer to Jordan on that one - these are his.
TictacAddict1 CCI and H335
Temperature sensitive powder and a weakish primer.
Flintlock, man.
Try a standard carbine buffer that should work
This is less of a buffer issue and more of an issue with selecting the proper gas setting on the BCG to function with these reloads. She ran fine in the end when we went back to the (U) unsuppressed setting in this config. 556Nato factor ammo will be a different story and we'll likely have to turn the gas down again.
Highjak86 I run a standard BCM bcg in my BCM 11.5 BFH suppressed with a PWS H3 buffer with jp enhanced buffer spring and she runs flawless suppressed and non suppressed I think those bcg cause more problems then fix em
Dude through an h3 in there and leave the bcg alone. Also, get the 223 end cap and it’ll be hearing safe.
Boosh! Boosh! 😂🤣
Aaaaand Immediately demonetized due to bump fire clip 🤣🤣
I don’t get adding a new BCG and all this extra shit. Throw a H2 and a can and run it bro
Like the Old Days when you 2 shot all the time. Then y'all had a legal separation, went your own ways...LOLOLOL
HA! Me too.
Was that pewdiepie?
pewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwdipieeeeeeeeeeeeee
Wack reloads mang. Shoot factory .223 or 5.56. Problem solved.
What buffer are you running?
I believe Jordan has the H in his - same as mine.
Highjak86 you need to run an h2 with a 11.5 bcm suppressed. I did a bunch of testing suppressed with my bcm 11.5. And found the h2 works best.
That would have the opposite effect here actually and make things worse. It's all relative to a variety of factors to include how much back pressure the can is creating, but regardless of all of this he's running a Bootleg adjustable BCG which negates any need to mess with an adjustable gas block or a buffer weights. There's no one definitive weight buffer anyone should really be using unless two guys are running the EXACT same setup down to ammo, etc.
Highjak86 lol the bootleg is trash. Heavier spring and lighter buffer is proven to be more effective than messing with an adjustable gas block or bcg
