This episode is a little different to usual. Sometimes we get fans writing in asking what the episodes are like without all of the editing, VO and music so this is a bit more of a raw look into some of the footage that goes into creating an MCM episode. We did this same style with the Honda Civic Build so for this episode we decided to do it again! Also there's some spoilers which we've censored...

So what if they decide to paint it pink. After all this time you people still don't understand that they are having fun doing mods to cars with their mates. The concept of "If you don't mod a car the way I like, I don't have respect for you or I hate you and that car scene" needs to just go. It's arrogant and just plain dumb. Go watch their "Kei To The City" film, where they ask the dude why he made his exhausts look like Mickey and Minnie Mouse and he just says because he likes it and it's funny to him. So much negativity over something that's just supposed to be fun.

I really enjoyed this episode. Its like going back to their roots of doing stuff in their own garage and lack of music was great just brought me more into the do it yourself aspect that these friends started on w.o. the pro shops and all. Dont get me wrong I enjoy that stuff also but this really was a great episode. Keep it up MCM!
I really like the way this episode was filmed with no music and more of just you guys talking and the natural sound of the tools like the drill. More episodes should be filmed this way! Love the show and the S2000! Keep going!

I like how this episode was set up, nice change from the original set ups with the music and what not.
I recently did a bolt on exhaust for my MX-5 from Racing Beat. Headers, straight pipe, connector, and muffler. It sounds great! I even installed polyurethane hangers and it was super easy. SNAIL POWER!!!

well, its this was not a full exhaust system, they could be turbo charging it.. if they were supercharging it, they would have put headers and full exhaust, but who knows

My father has a Plymouth GTX, each cylinder has 780cc of displacement and the interior is Quadro Green - true story.

hey guys i have a old 1989 nissan s-cargo snail van and i want to give it to mcm to see what they would do with it my dad bought it as a project so far all he did was paint it and painted a carbon fibre body kit for it its been sitting in the same spot for 18 years and i lve to see what mcm can come up with!!!!!!

Best way to having lil bit more power is removing the cat too :-) spoon N1 will be amazing and less restrictive because 1exit exhaust and not so curvy as this one. But only a matters of tastes ofc :-)

Okay, unnecessary to comment on how awesome the video was, that's implicit, BUT, please do something on that bike!! Any video, just, something about it!! Maybe start some project or.... I don't know! hahaha I'm also a bike guy, and my guess is that a lot of your other viewers are too, so that'd be nice! (and cheap, in general!)

Gotta say that with my own purchase of an invidia n1 exhaust system for my 2000 accord ex v6 coupe I am extremely pleased and it does done inside the car but it is a deep tone that I don't find annoying at all and is probably the best bang for your buck full exhaust system on the market hands down I highly recommend it to any of you guys or girls looking to spice up your sound

If I was a betting man I would put money on a R33 GT-R or a R34 GTT
kop4321 Something tells me that they would both prefer the R32 over the R33 and R34, but maybe that's just because I own one, lol.

Its easier finding an R33 or an R34 because most R32 are clapped out pieces of shit, and the nice ones cost as much as a lower spec R33 in better condition.

At least where I live the R32s you get for 34 GTTs are piles of shit or in considerably inferior condition to the R34s.

480p is automatically
It wouldn't have really made much difference. The human eye runs at what is approximately 30 fps. You're not looking for frame rate, but amount of pixels. The reason 720p looks better than 480p isn't because of frame rate, but because 720p offers nearly twice as many pixels, or in layman's terms 720p has more detail. Not because the video frame rate is higher, but because each frame has more detail in it.
This was great... reminded me of the old episodes again before all the fancy shop friends and tools got involved... not that I'm not a fan of that but being a guy without all that fancy luck I work out of my garage and connect more with these kind of videos

damn should of replaced the whole exhaust system all the way to the engine. it sounds better and you'll definitely get a little power but you still have restrictions in the factory exhaust parts that are still on the car. get you a header and replace that mid piping with a high flow cat as well.
The factory exhaust system on the S2000 is actually really good and we have to remember this car is n/a. A lot of people don't change any of it at all except the mufflers. The tricky thing with modifying exhausts is that there is no 'One Rule' for all cars so it really is model specific which means getting some info and research from different people who have done it. We know some Subaru owners change the front section but leave the mufflers, yet with the Honda S2000, autospeed documented gains of over 20hp at the wheels by just changing the mufflers, which is really impressive. These figures combined with the Nitrous system means the Honda would be pushing towards 200kw at the wheels which is really quite an impressive figure for what it is. (This is considerably more than what WRX STIs left the factory with and they have bigger engines plus a turbo!)

Mighty Car Mods your right! to elaborate -- a mugen ap2 ~$1200 will get you 6-7 hp gains in mid range. you can pick up more, cheaper performance through exhaust first. this isn't ej20 or sr20 where you can get a lot more performance value out of headers

why does he have a push button start if he has to still put the key in the ignition
thats how honda designed the s2k. you have to turn the key 2 clicks, and then you can push engine start.

so they can still charge you money when you break the key in the ignition
It was released in the latter part of 1999, proximity sensors for push button start were bulky and expensive. Didn't make sense to put it in the car.
Everyone likes a red start button though. So compromise?

In the time that I've had my Rsx you've built an 11 second beast, got wheels on an s2k, put a bumper on, attached an aftermarket "boot" latches, as you good folks on the other side of the pond call it. I've managed to buy the missing rear red JDM Honda emblem, new, emergency HID's and a headlight restoring kit. Why must I be broke?
Actually, the boot is the "trunk", the storage compartment in the back of a car. You're thinking of the "bonnet", which is also called a "hood".

Everyone seems to be arguing about MCM changing and doing up "ricers"
First of all, its MCM they love to do up cars with their mates on weekends, its what its been since the first episode, Marty and Moog in the driveway doing quick and simple mods to help people out and to have some fun, Honda or not, its a video, its a quick and simple mod, that is the point of this channel.
Secondly, its helped someone out and its kept people entertained for 15 minutes.
Its MCM this is what they do!

Best exhaust for the S2K, I've had mine for 8 or so years.
Easy install, sounds great. Had loads of compliments.
Only thing i'll add for the AUS S2K is that the tips aren't quiet center unless you trim the Y piece to sit right with the bumper cutouts.
Other than that its a perfect fit

I'd definitely watch if they did motorcycle mods; but they are all super simple to begin with... I've already put a full exhaust system onto my babyblade as well as a power commander, swapped out the levers and windscreen and put on some more aggressive rearsets

To the idiots not knowing what a "ricer" is: Any vehicle made by Orientals. However, for the past twenty years, the term "ricer" refers to any car (not just Oriental built cars) that has "bling" to make it look and/or sound better than it is. Perfect example of a ricer: Fake pop off sound with the little whistle you plug in the exhaust. Or hood scoops on a stock car. Or sound changing mufflers that add nothing but a different "racing" sound.
Four cylinder Mazda with a fake hood scoop and chrome hub caps? Ricer.

I'm always facinated by two thing by looking at yours videos.
1. It never look cold in australia.
2. How little rust there is under cars! In Canada, 2 years max and you have to cut those exhaust bolt because they are rounded up! It takes you a full day to cut the top bolt of those damn 3 bolts flanges!
I had the Honda hate in me for a long time until I've come to the enlightenment that all cars no Matter the make or model could be turned into a work of art either on the drag with speed or the parking lot with sight and sound.

I installed a 2.5" y pipe and cat back, with magnaflow mufflers on my 07 Maxima. There was a significant increase in horsepower and low end torque. It sounds pretty mad, too.
