Occasionally find these a click above spot from my wholesaler, always an easy resale. Love the vintage pieces! They have survived a few melts causing unknown scarcity. The best is when you find a piece that you cannot find available anywhere on eBay or any other outlets, not even in sold/completed items. Theses pieces have personality!
I've only found 3 of those rounds in the 3 years of looking for them. They were at my local coin shop about a year ago for a dollar over spot. I will buy all of them that I can find if the premium isn't stupid. I hope that I could find 10 for a nickel tube full. Like you, I also like this chunky silver.
Might be true, but when I knew nothing and had never bought any silver at all the rare coin place was happy to answer questions and coinsplus wasn't interested in giving me the time day
