I just wanted to play with these to be honest. My goal is to have the 20 best Crown Sized, Portrait Bearing world coins I stumble across. whenever I find a new one, I replace an old one.
Those are beutiful coins. Collecting was the beginning of my desire to stack. No shame in the game. We like what we like. Many of us are just lucky to have the income and we take pride in protecting it.
Interesting collection, thanks for sharing. I agree that having more than one dimension to saving in silver is more fun when you add some sort of collectible side.
Yes, perhaps stacking silver bullion with a compliment collection of silver nuemismatics is a great combo. please let me know what you think about my comment above about the future of nuemismatics. I'm an old fashioned guy, never use debit or credit cards. I find an odd pleasure in using coins to make exact change...you know, the way we used to purchase things?!
Nice! I have a few coin shops in my area that sell world silver coins at spot price. Every now and then I see some crown-sized coins in the “melt bin” which is super cool to pick out from.
The "Prussian" ones are actually German. Each kingdom within the Empire was allowed to have the face of their own monarch on coinage above one Mark. For Prussia, that also happened to be the Emperor, as the King of Prussia was also the Emperor of Germany.
I like this video very much. An interesting concept of having a "living collection", limited in size and rotating in and out for profit. I was doing something similar a while back, buying US early coins, primarily Flying Eagle pennies and also Half-Cents. I did something I regret however, I got to worrying about nuemismatics...I have three millenial children, and not one of them will have a coin in their wallet or purse! Debit and credit cards only. Coins never touch their hands, they almost don't know what they are for! So i got to worrying about the future of nuemismatics. Finally, I took all my nuemismatic coins down to my LCS and sold them (at terrible prices, I think he sensed I wanted to dump them) and i converted it all into silver bullion, about $500 worth. I have regretted it ever since. :( Perhaps i will rethink this hobby. should I worry about the future of nuemismatics? I really enjoyed my collection, learning about each coin and looking at them and buying the books and magazines. -Joshua
Enjoyed watching your video. Nice coins you have there.
I 100% agree. I don’t “collect” what you do, but I do “collect”. Our stack is for preservation and our collection is for fun😚😗😚😗
Love your collection, I would consider starting a second tube and not have any regrets later. Would love to see a list of the coins you have.

watching 5 years later,You need to do a update
love my panama silver
Good stuff, I’ll take the Philippine peso and Cuauhtémoc cinco pesos if you’re parting with them! For monies of course!
I’ve got a nicer balboa than yours that I’d be willing to trade for the Hercules 10 franc, let me know if interested...
You should of got rid of one Mexican coins of 72% silver they are very generic.
