    This all looks so relaxed compared to my college in the U.S. Even the students seem more relaxed. We were never, ever allowed to eat in a classroom. It would have been considered rude by every professor. On our campus, students were rushing about, in a hurry, trying to make their scheduled classes in different buildings. There was only one lunchroom and it was unpleasant. We were forced to pay for that lunchroom ticket in advance for at least two years.

      Hello! Do you mean the entrance exam or midterms and finals? To get into NTU you need scores of Toefl and HSK/TOCFL, which means test in both English and Chinese. For midterms and final exams, there are both English and Chinese tests. But that depends on the course and the professor.

      Thank you for loving our video!! :) I think as long as you have the high school diploma, age doesn't matter. When I entered NTU, there were two 16(becoming 17) year old people. But you should ask the international office just to make sure. Also a lot of classes are conducted in English both required classes and elective classes. However depending on the department, some required courses might only be in Chinese. Hope this helps~

    • @sweetpotatoislandtaiwan7411

      Tuition depends on the department. But it's around 55000NTD to 65000NTD. The tuition for my department was 55,458NTD.
      And one semester is around 4 and a half months.
      If you go to the dorm on campus, it's really cheap. Something like less than half the price I pay a semester.

    • @ashleytran2116
      @ashleytran2116 Před 5 lety +1

      Lola Luciole hi there! This is Ashley from SPI, and you don’t need to speak Chinese to attend any of the universities in Taiwan, it’s just a bonus! Many foreign students are required to take chinese courses anyways so if you don’t speak Chinese they will place you in a beginners Chinese class.
      However if you are interested in a fully immersed Chinese learning experience I recommend you apply to a language institution at a specific university, at NTU we have a section of our campus dedicated to students who come just to learn chinese:) hope this helps!

    • @sweetpotatoislandtaiwan7411
      @sweetpotatoislandtaiwan7411  Před 5 lety +1

      Once you get into NTU you will be assigned to the Chinese class that fits to your level. And international students usually take two years of mandatory Chinese classes! But in order to apply for NTU, the department might ask you to have the certificate of Chinese proficiency test.(Not everybody. Ashley got in without having one.)

    Hello . I'm an Indian and I always wanted to learn mandarin .So is there any college in Taiwan which give mandarin classes to foreign students as a course or something ?

    • @sweetpotatoislandtaiwan7411
      @sweetpotatoislandtaiwan7411  Před 4 lety +1

      If you want to learn Mandarin, you can register for the Mandarin training center in universities. National Taiwan Uni and National Taiwan Normal Uni are famous for those classes. But they are not the degree programs. If you're looking for a specific department, there aren't any. However, when you enter universities in Taiwan, they offer mandatory Chinese courses for those who lack Chinese proficiency(For NTU, this class is 6 hours a week).

      Hola! Desde nuestro parecer, la gastronomía, los mercados nocturnos, facilidad de transporte y la educación accesible y las aguas termales son algunas de las mejores cosas que Taiwán tiene para ofrecer. (Entre ellas, nuestra favorita sería la gastronomía, no puedes visitar Taiwán sin comer te uno de sus más famosos platillos: Tofu apestoso, Hot Pots, y Bubble Tea!)

      Hello. NTU doesn't accept any international bachelor's degree studnets for the medical school. The only department that takes international studnets is physical therapy. If you are pursuing master's or doctor's degree you can look for the information in the link below.
      1. Admission process(for year 2021/2022)

      Hello. I would recommend national universities in Taiwan first because their tuition fee is generally cheaper than private universities. Unfortunately I don't think NTU medical school allows international students. I recommend you to look for Taipei Medical University.
