Thanks David. I downloaded your previous layout and it inspired me to customize it to use Qlab as I think gives me more control than VLC. I did a 3h streaming this week with that layout :)

Hey Evert - I've now released a profile version (paid download) for a 15-button Stream Deck for the ATEM Mini Pro/ISO. It fits pretty much all of the 32-button functionality into the 15-button layout! davidjoshuaford.com/companion/ Also working on an Extreme version.

Promising. Setting up a studio here with ATEM mini pro ISO and having a "wonderful" time making all the equipment function well together. It is really not simple or easy.... On eight think that before starting hooking things up and running into issues. But the Stream Deck seems to be the centre of it all when everything has been set up. I will look at the files and see how it goes.

Just bought your latest ATEM/Companion profile, can't wait to try it out. Have you done anything with ATEM and BirdDog PTZ cameras? I would love to have Streamdeck control to select camera and presets with one click. Great work.
Hi Ron, thanks for purchasing and your support! I have 2 Canon N300s, so I've programmed them to some extent to work with the stream deck. There's some overlap with the modules - I'd suggest getting your PTZs working (search companion for either PTZ or VISCA and you'll find a bunch of modules), and then stacking actions within Companion is easy from there (ie set PTZ position, add a delay, then take camera's ATEM input to program).
Yesterday my first livestream with the companion profile I bought from you. Awesome!! But still using only a few options. Is it possible for you to do a video about the Extreme Iso and the stream deck with your profile?

Very impressive! I have your other profile, so thanks. As I only have a standard stream deck, can I use individual buttons? I understand that some, such as long-hold buttons, will mot work...
Long hold will work on the regular SD. You'll just need to delete/move some buttons around to choose what you want to keep in the smaller real estate.

I may do down the line, but not at the moment. The portable-ness of the original Mini lineup actually has some benefits that outweigh their lesser functions compared to the Extreme.

this is awesome, how does vlc playback work exactly off the same machine running zoom?
The current setup is designed with 3 cameras in mind, so combines VLC/Slides/H2R/Zoom on HDMI 4. To use VLC and Zoom simultaneously, treat zoom as a camera 3 input. Add a second HDMI cable out from your computer and use Zoom on HDMI 3 and VLC on HDMI 4.
@@davidjoshuaford I'm confused how you are able to route the sound out and get the call sound. I have used obs and virtual cable or a laptop plugged into input 4
@@davidjoshuaford Are you running everything of the one computer? Or recording/streaming/ on one computer and VLC + H2R on another seperate machine?

The v2.5 ones are a paid download that I'm starting to focus my energies on, and the Extreme.
I purchased your product and have been very happy with it. One question, my pip key 1 is pretty erratic. I can get some of the pip masked presets to work, but only 1 or 2 of them from your PIP presets that you have linked from page 1. What I do is I press and hold key 1 from page 1 and then I go into the settings page you created and I click on the various different DVE keys that you have created, but only a couple of them change. For instance, I click on the left lower, and for some reason it moves the DVE to left upper with a circle mask.
I have V3 installed. Thoughts?

Hi Erik, glad the profile has been working well for you. I double checked the key1 presets and all appear to be working as intended. Have you updated the ATEM Macros to v3 as well? Some macros were shuffled around between v2.5 and v3.0 to make room for the Extreme's layout. If you're still having trouble, shoot me an email. Cheers, David
@@davidjoshuaford I'll double check. I recently purchased a few weeks back, so I think that it was 3.0 at the time. I have some A2Z macros that they built still in the Atem, is it possible those are causing errors?
@@erikpaullive Depends the order in which you install them - the restore process only replaces slots that contain macros; if there are blank slots during a Restore, those slots won't overwrite what already exists there. When you install my macros, it won't change slots 1-12, 89-100.
@@davidjoshuaford Thanks...I got it to work. I just noticed that the restore didn't have the macros selected when you restore. That fixed it.
Any idea why the circle pip on the atem has a mask that is diffused, but you can clearly see the borders beyond the fade?

How do you add timers onto buttons on Companion?
Basically, I have an intro video on OBS that plays for 12 seconds before switching to the camera feed, but I would like to see the "Intro" button on the stream deck countdown from 12 before switching back to "Intro"
Type $( into the button title field and you'll see a dropdown of available variable names.
@@davidjoshuaford Hey David, I actually ended up using the "internal: Button Text" Action with delays to count down the last 5 seconds.
Its a bit of a roundabout way of doing it, but it works perfectly.
It would be a pain if I was going to have it count down something that was more than 30 seconds, as each number is a separate action with a delay, and programming in each action would get really tedious.
@@KLRCAT If you're running the native Stream Deck software in parallel, you may want to consider using Elgato's built in timer. Or try playing with the OBS module and the new Variable Triggers (under the Triggers tab). I have an update coming that does a similar thing for VLC, so that it automatically transitions back to camera when a video finishes playing.

Hi Palle, not sure I understand - most of these profiles are already a 32-button layout. Do you own a 15-button or 32-button stream deck?
Great product bought it. But I don't get color feedback on the channel this a key source. Any idea what is wrong? would be nice to have the visual feedback

@@davidjoshuaford the yellow for the key channel and the background feed back for the active audio channels... Imported the profile a couple of times, but it seems not in there
@@johanwiegel hmm sounds strange..haven't encountered that before. Make sure you're running the 2.2.0 version of Companion, not 2.1.3.
@@davidjoshuaford I will try again tomorrow. I am running 2.2.0 on osx.
So I downloaded the last 2.2.0 for Windows, clean install on my PC. After that I import the bought profiles and when I look at the feedback there are no background color changes defined... To test I altered the version on my Macbook, added color feedback exported that and imported on windows. Then there is color feedback. So it seems not to be present in your profiles (15 and 32 pro v2.5)
