Underrated line -
For years I was a child 😂
I don't believe him.
I actually laughed the hardest at that line
I already heard Norm's "As long as I can remember I've had memories", so this one doesn't even have the surprise effect.
@@Katya_Lastochka this one sounds gold. 😂
When people ask me when I was born I say "I don't remember, I was pretty young then."
"Hope you can read pink on purple"
**Looks at the Just For Laughs sign in the background** What do you know, I can actually!
"Is he cool like Ferris Bueller?"
"Who?"
"Oh yeah... That movie didn't come out yet... But you're gonna love it."
Best comment 🙌🏽
"So you have a movie for me about a 17 year old high school student who's friends with a disgraced nuclear physicist?" - "Yes sir I do."
Reminds me of Patton Oswalt's bit on "Death Bed: The Bed That Eats People".
Will it be difficult for us to explain how they became friends?
It’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.
Oh yeah?
Yeah, I was thinking we could just... not do that.
And now I know what I am watching next! Lmao
I didn’t know John mulany and pitch meeting had an overlapping audience.
Oh, accidental incest is tight!
And now he’s Spider-Ham!
Mike Quackenbush lol he’s spider ham? Haha cool I knew the voice sounded familiar
Sandy Koles damn skippy. Watch his interview on Fallon about it. Good stuff.
I was watching his most recent comedy special on Netflix and I realized that Mulaney would make the perfect older Peter Parker in a live-action Spider-Verse movie.
And Andrew from Big Mouth
Also Peter-Porker
“How does Marty get the time machine running again in the past?”
“Well, it’s gonna be super easy barely an inconvenience “
That's tight!
Yeah, it gets even easier the farther back he goes
What is this a crossover episode???
Whoopsie!
Yeah yeah yeah
“But they go to the past?”
“Yeah.”
That was very funny.
The Axis of Insight after they go to the past they go back to the future
Jonathan Key - they go back to the present
@@MAYBE_4EV3R If you'd known anything about the back to the future movies, you would now that the future they went back to was not the present.
Lana Lobotomy they would call it the future from the past. That’s why they’re going back to it. Or else they’d call it went to the present
@@jonathankey6444 went to the present 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And why didn't George assume his wife cheated on him? They never found out Marty was their son in the past. So we're to believe George never thought about the fact that their son looks identical to the guy his wife had a crush on? And they NAMED him after the guy! Wake up George
Hello fwiend “Hello! Anybody home?! Think, McFly! Think!
George named his son after the man who got him together with the girl of his dreams
@@Pogibakayo Didn't everyone think his name was Calvin Klein in the past? Also, that still wouldn't explain why his son looked identical to the dude that got them together.
Do you vividly remember how most people look that you met a few times and haven't seen in 20 years?
You're describing a robot chicken skitch 😂😂
Barry Allen does comedy now?
I SWEAR he's so awkward
🤣
Joke, Barry, joke.
Well when he took the wrong speed Captain Singh couldn't trust him anymore.
Been a fan of John Mulaney and The Flash since the behind of each, and I have always thought the same thing
3:13 agreed, Spider-Man is ridiculous. If a spider was going to bite something and give it super powers, it would definitely be a pig!
Doc and Marty met when Marty went to Doc’s house in1955.
Dude....
I may have call out of work tomorrow to deal with this thought pattern.
Truth
Yep, because doc was like who the fuck are you???
Yeah but that only creates an alternate future in which a disgraced scientist already knew Marty from his time travel adventure. How did Doc Prime meet Marty? Actually I sort of assumed Marty did odd jobs for him... and checking out crazy inventions like the super amp was just a perk of like... going shopping for this wacky absent-minded professor type. He's too busy stealing uranium from... terrorists? to pick up groceries.
Dude. I need to rewatch this movie. Fuck
John Mulaney has such a great delivery.
How they met? Marty was Doc's newspaper deliverer.
sanjuansteve still doesn’t explain the friendship though...
Well doc had that monster guitar amp Marty enjoyed using, plus Einstein the dog was there. So music and animals were involved.
I was a paper boy once, My neighbor, old man Higginbotham was a client, he loved me, said I had potential, I reminded him of himself (he was successful, so I liked it)... he used to give me candy, that made him my best friend. He gave me candy and potato chips. His candy tasted bad, though. I found out that those treats are bad for you and can cause you to pass out, because they were sugar free and chemically produced. Thats why they stunk. And my ass hurt all day after I woke up. That candy gave me explosive diarrhea so bad, that I forgot I took it. He reminded me, the reason this happened every collection of every other week... it was only to make me stronger. To get passed the illness. Give me an immunity, if you will. Somehow I always found later that I had 5 hundred dollars in my pocket when I awoke. I think I must be a sleep- thief. Or sleep walker. Definitely thief. But what I dont remember never hurts me. Doc Brown though.... ohhhhhhh. He fucked the kid.
@@jjjr8664 wtf
Didn`t he had cool stuff like that giant guitar amp that Marty blasted in the beggining of the film? I`ve always thought he was around because of the Doc`s interesting inventions.
No one questioned a teenager/random adult friendship in the 80's. I hung out at the home of an ex-con in their 40's because they bought all the neighborhood kids' beer. They also grew marijuana. Since parents at that time didn't really have time to be bothered raising their kids, we just hung out with whoever.
One time I ran away from home when I 13 years. My parents didn't even notice I had run away until 4 days later. This was totally normal in my neighborhood.
I think it's just your parents who were bad parents.
Ms_Gen_Xodus this is very fitting of your handle
Umm, that last bit isn't normal
Your experience is not the normal experience...
I hate to tell you this, but your parents never cared for you. If any parent fails to notice their child is missing for a day let alone 4, alarm bells start ringing. I'm 32 now and if I miss a phone call, my mom thinks I'm dead in a ditch.
If Back to the Future was a movie that came out today Chris Hansen would be all over it

Super Easy, Barely an Inconvenience!
Yup, pitch meeting.
They filmed a lot of Back to the Future 1 & 2 at my high school, we met Lea Thompson during the 2nd movie filming. Always makes it cool to watch. I worked at the mall that the Delorean scenes were filmed at too. And I Love John Mulaney!!!
Please tell us what high school in what city
@@williamfroh8830 - Whittier, California - the first class graduated in 1900, so the first year it had classes was 1896. Major earthquake damage in 1987, they re-opened the auditorium in 1991 after reconstructing it. The dance wasn't filmed there, but I used to stand on the spot every day to meet up with my friends where the car was parked when Biff got punched! 🤣 My sophomore year locker is visible in one scene, I got a kick out of that too. The mall was the Puente Hills Mall, I THINK one of those trees may still be there too. Such crazy memories.
@@CuriousGoodsJessica thank you for taking the time to answer. It was interesting. My Father was in the crowd scene of " on the Waterfront " with Marlow Branden and I watch it and never see him but my mother always points him out . Great to hear your movie story

Obviously the title chosen (which wasnt the original title of the movie) is right because they go to the past by accident and the main goal they have is to go BACK to the FUTURE.
r/wooooooooooosh
Actually, Back to the Present would make more sense, because that’s how I perceived it if I was Marty!
Nicholas Trudeau, No because Doc Brown has to send Marty BACK to the Future. He even says this line in the movie. It's confusing though because it breaks the pov from Marty to Doc Brown, so technically you should be right.
I think it’s actually more obvious than you think
That last “yeah” sounded like Matthew McConaughey lol
ScreenRant's Pitch Meeting series was born out of this bit.
Went to the comments to write the same thing. Whoopsie!
@@itsybitsy999 whoopsie
I want a back to the future prequel explaining how Marty and Doc became friends now.
I never understood why people think Marty was trying to sleep with his mother. He wasn't! His mother had a crush on him, but he just tried to get his father and mother to get together. Where did people get it from he was trying to sleep with her??
Aaaww you little....
Haha, people are just being stupid, he never wasn't to sleep with her 😅.
Think I've watched this video like 6 times. youtube keeps recommending it. I'm not complaining
If Marty McFly learned Johnny B Goode from Chuck Berry records and Chuck Berry got if from hearing it on the phone done by Marty McFly, who actually wrote it?
Elvis
This just makes me want to rewatch the BTTF Pitch Meeting episode again.
Okay Barry Allen, you clearly haven’t watched back
To the future
that back to the future bit is in his comedy special that I’ve seen yet I couldn’t help but watch this entire thing.
They do go to the past... And then they go BACK TO THE FUTURE!
Robin and Steve must be loving this.
That pitch was hilarious. XD
One of my favorite bits
"Whatcha gonna do, it's a switcheroo"
3:20 Back to the Future.
I just love him❤
Pitch meeting is based off of this set and I've been living in a fool's paradise
This is good clean humor.
Marty had nothing to do with *building* the time machine, that was all Doc Brown, he just drove it!
Lol was goner say that too, this bloke clearly can't follow a story line... he has it all twisted.
"Yeah."
John Mulaney looks like Barry Allen on speed, and I don't mean the speed force.
Can't believe Amy Schumer stole from this guy
Doc became friends with Marty because he met him in the 1950s, it closes the loop. Doc Discovers time travel is possible in the 1950s because Marty tells him it is. Doc then has to create time travel in the 80s so Marty can go back and tell him it's possible. it's a causal loop.
Lol na mate, way off.
He already fell off the toilet and had the flux capacitor drawn down.
Marty told him that story to make doc beleive he was from the future. If anything, Marty helps confirm docs pre existed thought of time travel.
And he doesn't rebuild a time machine, all doc does is put in a rod that can harness the lighting from the clock tower to create the gigawatts required. If you listen to what the actors say.... you would know this also haha.
SMH.
@@mattnic413 he had a concept that he may or may not have followed up on. Doc could have quit inventing altogether given his failures, Had Marty's going back to 1955 not created a causality. That's how a temporal loop works.
And technically he did rebuild the delorean. To 1955 Doc it already existed he was following the specs set by 1984 Doc, it's a paradox. Yes he did add a lightning rod in 1955 to the version that used plutonium from 1985 to generate the 1.21 gigawatts to power the flux capacitor but you don't think he had to study the design to integrate the lightning rod?
Doc put an ad in the paper for an assistant, and Marty was the only one who responded.
Dude! That’s the Pitch Meeting format by Ryan George!!! Seriously, it fits too perfectly.
We’re going to have to find out who did it first.
John Mulaney wrote the pitch meeting for Back to the Future years before Pitch Meetings was a thing.
Yes, the movie has bizarre elements. Those are its features.
When I was a child, I held the "but they go to the past" objetion to the title of Back to the Guture.
You have to have clicked the link in order for your page to be distributing the link.
If you think about it the docket knew about Marty so he introduced himself for the timeline to finish off right
I always asked myself how did Marty and doc meet... but I do love that movie
This routine is the reason we have pitch meeting now
Back to the Future starts at 3:25
super easy, barely an inconvenience!
And thus ScreenRant's Pitch Meetings with Ryan George were born.
going to watch back to the future...
As in Back to the Future II, 10/21/2015 was my 27th birthday! And I was born in 1988. The Delorean had to go 88 MPH! :O
CZcams this doesn't feel natural anymore...
You are feeding me my own shot again
just the best
I guess we know how he got the SpiderHam part.
My favourite leprechaun in a boy's body :)
If you enjoy this you should see the Pitch Meeting series on CZcams by Ryan George
“We didn’t even think of that”
Stephen king did Lol
If you've ever been to the future before you'd know it's in the past.
It's a joke, it may not but literal, but going back to the past wasnt the issue of the movie, it was getting back to the future after getting things back in order. JM is one of my favorite comedians, hilarious joke. Just wanted to point it out is all 🤣
pretty funny
A suggested title for Back to the Future was... "Space Man from Pluto". I shit you not
“That’s how I would feel if I saw a spider man”
Flash forward six years
Ok, THE RECENT FUTURE.
Time and time again, I have this inkling to NOT like John Mulaney, but he's a pretty funny guy anyway. So I continue to be a fan anyway, lol. This was a good set.
IDK what the big deal is, when I was 17, the single old man down the street used to have all us boys over for swimming parties, wrestling matches, and skins vs skins basketball gam... wait a minute!!
Spider-Ham?
Well, any decent person clicks - kinda- those links in their sandboxes and that is what, dear people, leads to blocking those abusive hostings blocked for _you_, dorks.
While watching this, I got tagged with 200 other people on Facebook in a picture of ray bans... smh
THEY HAD TO GET BACK TO THE FUTURE!!! Getting to the past was the easy part!!
Back to the Future came out a year before Ferris Bueller. But it’s still funny.
R D unless they used the time machine to go to the future to see Ferris Bueller
As a community service, I am going to suggest that you pick this up at the 2:45 mark. Really, you'll thank me.
Marty never tries to bang his mom mulaney is wrong about that. In fact he has to fight her off because she has a schoolgirl crush on him without knowing he is her son in the future. I realize he is taking poetic license making his joke but I will not stand for falsehoods spoken about the great Marty McFly
Bugged me too lol. It's been a while since I saw the movie, but I feel like if anything he's actively trying to avoid banging his mom. She's trying to bang him.
@@andrewjohnson588 he thought about it
@@jamilbarbee6169 Probably. Lea Thompson had it going on.
Carl Lange wasn’t the movie a book series first
Yeah, but to be fair, "mom tries to make out with her own son" still is not the movie I would like to try to pitch.
I haven't watched "Back to the Future" in ages, but there are some things he gets wrong...granted, he's making a joke. "Back to the Future" probably refers to the fact that Marty and friend are stuck in the past, and want to get back to the future, which would be "the present" for them.
Estrella Vega But for them it’d be the present so “Back to the Present”
Also, I didn't think Doc and he were best friends, I thought it was an after school job.
@@EightTinyRats No, the present is the moment you are currently in, not the time you're trying to get to. As soon as you've left "the present" it is no longer the present.
Jamston Julian “Gift.” -Oogway
This guy is really smart. I don't believe he has ever had any serious problems, but he can still figure out how to be funny. That takes something.
I don’t think he’s really ever seen Back to the Future. Lol
Lol
JM is so handsome.
Its called Back to the Future because the whole plot is Marty stuck in the past, trying to get back to the future... but still funny.
Screen Rant owes Mulaney
I will admit, it is severely strange that Marty and Doc Brown are friends. That's really the one hurdle you have to clear to enjoy the series.
Most probably Doc was a teacher
@@beetlejussUmm, were you friends with ANY of your teachers? Did you hang out with them casually or visit their houses? Plus, Doc Brown was never a teacher.
But the movie IS about going back to the future! By going into the past, Marty is ultimately able to change and redeem his entire future.
Who clicks on the link? You! You dummy! That’s how your email got hacked in the first place.
*He's funnier as Spider-man since that shit was a joke.*
Yeah :) lool
This guy is hilarious!!! His suit makes me not trust him though.
Because I'm giving them my time and attention, I suppose.
But it's the difference from loving them to just liking their stuff.
He looks like hes about to make a secret deal with a chemical factory to contaminate a water supply somewhere
Rick and Morty!
I just hear Andrew Globberman
Anybody else notice the dead/sleeping lady in the front wearing the skirt...
Marty is only 17 in 1985, born in 1968, so...it doesnt matter whether or not his parents kiss in 1955. They could meet at the 1965 ten year reunion, he could still have older siblings. I guess the film was written in 1973. Marty was probably meant to be conceived at the sea dance. And he finds out biff is his real dad.
Pitch meetings....
In Back to the Future 2 he could have had a three some with himself and his Mom
I don't think Steven Spielberg pitched this movie.
Marty McFly is way cooler than Ferris Bueller.
100%
well Michael J Fox didn't kill 2 women like Broderick so..
