Quicksand was a MAJOR source of anxiety in my childhood. But I just googled quicksand in the US and it freaked me out all over again.

this was ten years ago from his most popular special and he had been sober for almost five years before this and was sober for another nine after. seems like you never actually watched his comedy and just wanted to make a controversial comment.
Since he's cleaned up he's aged, but in a good way.

I thought about quicksand sm as a kid and how to get out of it 😂 so stupidly relatable!
Funnily enough I got stuck in quicksand as a kid! Not in a jungle clearing with me desperately reaching for a hanging vine....but playing at the beach. By quicksand I mean wet sand and I got stuck to my thighs. Can't remember how I escaped but there's a video on CZcams with a French girl showing you how to do it. It's a problem at Mt St Michel, where the tide sweeps in quickly.....another thing I worried about as a kid. And rabies.
What do ya'll think? When he says "They've never spoken." Do you think he means that they've never spoken BECAUSE we're always shushing them? OR do you think he is just making the point that it's weird that we shush them, because they've never spoken, so there's no reason to shush them?

The dry toothbrush thing was awful for me as a kid. I habitually dry my toothbrush. Always have. My abusive relatives were terrible over the fact that my toothbrush was dry.
There are 11 years between my brother. I had braces - I did brush, but for some odd reason id run it under the water and not brush. I think I was warring against the *machine*. When I did brush - I wouldn't rinse it as well as I should. My mom kept saying *If you don't rinse your toothbrush I'm going to wash it in the toilet.* My brother flushed my toothbrush down the toilet. It got stuck in the bottom and dad had to pull the whole thing up. Somehow I GOT blamed for the situation. He also peed in my brand new tent - thru the window.

quicksand? not me. i thought adult me needed to know how to Indiana Jones a bull whip to grab onto objects to swing over danger or disarm an enemy. my grandpa actually bought me a bull whip without my asking. kept me busy ALL summer. best cheap child care ever as i spend all day killing cans and poorly grabbing tire swing ropes.. kicked me outside with a whip. come back before sunset for dinner.
