As a former person that was like that, its mix of lack of parenting, dad figure, bullying, being lost and lack of respect for yourself. How I got myself in check is pretty much stopping blaming anyone except for myself, gym and that typical stuff, and learning that following emotions, a.k.a playing a victim, easy game, is not good

There are plenty of ways to increase your mental stamina and resilience that are less cringy and expensive. I am not even opposed to the concept of hiring basically a life coach from someone who can give you a good format for self-improvement and get to know you and your pitfalls and help you improve on them.
That being said, a lot of the comments here and Optimus take are also cringy. The idea that because these clowns weren't listening to their teacher or whatever that it somehow makes him look less "alpha". That makes me wonder, what do y'all mean by alpha? Because the direct implication of that idea is that he should have forced them in order to be "alpha". That's a very dumb way to think and doesn't map onto reality whatsoever. No "alpha" or "leader" is going to force you to do anything. Join the military and refuse orders in boot camp; they aren't going to beat you into submission. They will threaten to kick you out, and if you then decide to shape up and listen, you will get smoked relentlessly as a punishment, then monitor your behavior for improvements. If you refuse after the threat, they will just kick you out.
