Cod usually starts out decent then they fumble the ball and allow cheaters and cheating streamers to push blueprints for weapons. I haven’t had fun since the first warzone and with pubg before that. Maybe I need to fire up pubg again.

These guys have probably never had a real fight. Most men know it’s extremely dangerous to get into a fight and will avoid it if possible because the consequences can be catastrophic.
Not even just the physical danger as one punch can change a life irrevocably but also the psychological damage you don't just forget the sounds of fists meeting a face, or yours or their blood all over you, the rush and the painful coming down afterwards that saps you. There's a lot in it all. That nowadays I'd have to be pushed very hard with no other options to retread that ground.

Lucky the glass didn’t shatter into my neck.
Also had my nose broken twice and I’ve hurt others whilst fighting. I’ve been mobbed by about eight guys. I fought two of them and was doing good until the others started kicking me in the head. Another time I was attacked by another 4 (one of them kicked my car door shut on my leg as I was getting into the car) at a petrol (gas) station. I dealt with that one but hurt two of them with concussion and the other two backed off thankfully. How those two escaped serious damage is unbelievable. Hearing someone’s head hit the floor is sickening. It’s scary and no way to go about confrontation.
I will avoid it if it’s possible but I will never back down if someone comes for me. My advice - as a wiser than I used to be 42 year old - is to avoid it until it’s unavoidable.

The worst occasion and one that really made me reflect was a double whammy of emotions. I had been dating this girl for a few years and had recently been considering getting engaged had just gotten her a sorta preengagment necklace.
Well I swing by her place after getting the night off for work planning to surprise her with dinner plans and pop the question when I see a vehicle in the parking lot I didn't recognize. I let myself in with the spare key and things only got more offputting I hear noise from upstairs so I go up there quietly open a door and low and behold my soon to be fiance bent over and a dude I'd never seen before behind her.
I just remember hyper fixating on that necklace for a few moments when they finally noticed me. And I just freeze up trying to process what I just saw, I start going down the stairs and I guess the dude wanted to show me something idk all I remember is him making contact and us tumbling downstairs. I blackout and come to some how in the yard on top this guy just hammering his face so many times it looked like meatloaf. Finally hearing her screaming to stop. I left and never talked to her again. She tried the classic I'm sorry it was a mistake and spam calling but I just ignored her.
No idea what happened to the dude and never heard anything on the legal side of things so I count my blessings there, but yeah after that incident I try really hard to avoid fights as well as the fun trust issues I have to this day. Sorry for the exposition dump but yeah I've just learned it's not worth it 9/10 and I'd live a full life never seeing that side of me again.

Historically, this was always more of like a party franchise when it came to its online. Many of their games during the MW new trilogy tried to change that and it honestly didn't really evolve all that well considering how the new changes translate to more open-ended levels. There's a reason that there was a time when people preferred Cold War over MW19. To clarify, these are not good COD games and we're still in an identity crisis era. That never stopped.

This is why I'm primarily a single player campaign gamer.
Back during the COD MW 360 era.
I stopped playing multi-player as everyone would fly off the rails as if they're actually getting shot or having limbs blown off IRL.
If you're at a LAN event there is money on the line, they mighty not be CDL players but they are playing for a cash prize and anything can get out of hand anytime money is on the line. It might not be huge money but I keep forgetting huge youtubers forget that a few hundred or a thousand dollars is a lot of money for some people, especially a teenager playing a video game.
It's cringy but this is nothing compared to some Quake, Unreal, Halo, GOW, and CoD LANs I went to back in the day. We used to actually take it outside and not just scream at each other and if you didn't want to go outside after you started something we made you do it.
I'm miss the late 90's and early 2000's.

I went to a small Halo tournament one time at a Microsoft store in the mall. It was all team doubles. I didn't place high but we did have fun and shook hands. I really like this dude who brought his dad. He decided to try on gaming to bond with his son. Maybe some people see it as lame but I thought it was cool. They placed last but I saw how much fun both of them had. This is the type of dad I want to be if I ever have kids.
