What I really hate is that YT puts ads on non-monitized channels
And those channels get nothing for it

This is why the argument of using an ad blocker is stealing from youtubers is invalid all because of this. The ads aren't used as payment to watch the video, its sole purpose is to fund a public free website. If it was soley to act as payment for the video, than it would only be on monetized channels, it ain't.

That's bad. It wasn't on here but, I got a Livestream as an ad one time. It was just someone talking and cursing. I left and came back to watch an ad for a reward and got the same person but the stream was still going.
At some point people are going to start harassing companies that advertise on CZcams in order to get back at CZcams.

This will never change because people still refer to this problem as a 'CZcams problem.' I swear, corporations are going to keep bending people over until they get smart enough to learn how to address these issues. Until people learn how to single out people in an organization, they'll keep getting beat over the head like this. Maybe try calling out the head of marketing? PR? Director of Ad Partnerships? 'CZcams' didn't do this. CZcams isn't even a person. But if I was a betting man, I'd say a person or a team did this. And companies can just keep doing what they do until people either leave, or get smart enough to actually address the right people.
I love how CZcams has deluded themselves into thinking that Adblocker developers won’t just update their software to accommodate any changes they might make to Ads. All they are doing is driving more people into using Adblockers.

Jokes on them, while I still may be using the website, I’m not using it normally. I have been using a web browser that automatically blocks ads for a while because I got tired of them, not only that I can also listen to music or videos with my phone turned off too. They ain’t getting another bit of ad revenue out of me.

And this is why we don't forgive Susan for her god-awful actions on CZcams. Yes, the loss of her son was sad enough. However, this does not excuse her for disabling dislikes, censoring comments, wrongfully flagging videos, and deliberately shoving down ads and CZcams as a whole should be 100% guilty of this.

It's not essentially helping small content creators, it's basically shoving in spam. I can relate to this. I don't mind the double adds and all of that, most of the adds I get are just the same ones over and over again. I keep on getting those gaming adds that lie about the type of game it is, and of course majority of them are dinosaur games.

Ive installed full adblock and sponsor block on youtube. 5 seconds of ad's before a video was fine, but having to watch two 15 second ads with midroll ads in between for a video is insane.
And on top of that they have a 2-3 minute sponsor in there somewhere. Companies keep trying to implement new ways to show us even more advertisements than we’re already shown everyday. At some point we’re going to have to take a stand as a society.

I remember when I was watching a video and managed to skip the double ads. I only was able to watch a minute of the 22 minute video and got another 2 ads. This kept going every 3-5 minutes.

Man if there's people saying "boo-hoo it's just ads get over it" either have vested interest, haven't experienced the ad-pocalypse themselves yet, or are being intellectually dishonest with the intention of being a contrarian. These types need to take a long walk off a short pier.
Also the technique youtube are using is called 'enshittification' where they initially provide good service to get you hooked, then moan about server costs (2015 news reports) and then implement the squeeze where they push and push as much good will out their customers and content creators as possible to serve their shareholders.
Bring back only single ads, and make sure the ads that come our way aren't horrendously terrible, then I'll consider dropping my adblock.

CZcams forgot that the whole reason why people originally started flocking towards the website in the first place: people wanted entertainment and didn't want to deal with all the BS from things like cable TV. Then CZcams started shoving ads down everyone's throats, then they started allowing the cable TV dinosaurs onto the website, and now, we have the same back-to-back unskippable ads that you can find on TV. At this point, CZcams may as well just start being a cable TV channel

There used to be a way to skip the ads by going onto the little options tab and clicking 1 of 3 choices. Now when i do it, i get sent to some ad customization page on youtube. This is bad enough to because most people have sponsers that are actually better suited for the demographics of the channels. But then the video has 4 ad breaks anyway. Its starting to turn into cable ads. 30min ad breaks for a 15min show.
Any ad that I happen to see on YT I go out of my way to absolutely NEVER buy.

I know, the meme interrupting the ad is what made me get a memeblocker.
I once got a 3 hour meme and downloaded memeblocker, so I understand that memes interrupting your ads are SO annoying.

If you dont skip ads, you will get way more of them. CZcams will sneak in an extra ad from time to time too.
I completely understand why ad blockers have exploded in popularity, especially since the ppl who dont are the ones who have to deal with CZcams punishing us with more ads.
I started using rumble last week. The ads are less invasive, they dont have arbitrary random censorship and more content creators are finally starting to use it. The more ppl who use it, the more user friendly it will become.
Though sadly the site is infested with lunatics so that's something I am hesitatant to switch to. I did quit Twitch for Kick though.

I definitely noticed a huge increase in ads yet again within the past week. It's annoying when videos with previously no ads, have not just ads at the beginning and end of videos, but now every few minutes.
Give me a double ad close video, reload video, they decided to start me with more unskippable ads, close video reload, close video and reload until the beginning ads disappear. 40 second video with a 20 second unskippable ad, close video, reload. I dont hesitate to let them know i hate them more than they possible can hate me.

If youtube cared about the user experience with the ads on their platform, they'd do a better job of vetting ads, but they don't. All they see is dollar signs, and that's precisely why they are incapable of winning this ad war; THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE THE ENEMY.
They probably don't realize that their campaign is losing them more money than if they just left things the way they were.
Guys use network wide adblockers, they're undetectable, safe, works on all devices, and youtube can't do a thing about them.

Setting up a Pi-Hole is easy and has even more benefits.
That's assuming you aren't going through an ISP that actively stops you from customizing your router settings. I unfortunately have such an ISP

Suggestion: moderate your ads, reintroduce side/under the video ad banners, remove long, unskippable pre-video ads, remove mid-video ads.
I never used adblock until ads started to get intrusive. Now adblock isn't a luxury, but a necessity to keep you safe on this website.
Its a necessity for internet life. Specially on mobile, I hate navigating the web on mobile. and have to do it as I plan dnd sessions
I envision that YT will get to the point where any video there will ever be, every 30 seconds or so, there WILL be an unskippable advertisement.
Just like any mainstream media website in which they have an article that has a video on it.

I am someone who does not check their emails unless I am expecting an email. So when Google got rid of Google Play music and put out some notice for people to manually move all their songs and they had like a year to move them to CZcams Music, I completely missed the memo. I paid for Spotify for a year and didnt use the HUNDREDS of dollars worth of music I bought. When my subscription to Spotify ran out I went to use my music I bought and it was all gone. I looked it up and because I didn't manually move it it was gone forever. Completely wasted my money. My question is with a company as technologically advanced and rich as Google why couldn't they automatically move all that??? That is just one of the reasons I have zero guilt never letting CZcams run ads. In my opinion I already paid to get rid of them when they took the music I bought. Also why I'll NEVER use CZcams Music.

The problem lies in lack of competition. The reason Twitch and CZcams get away with decisions like these is because they really don't have any worthwhile competitors.

A problem I’ve had for so long is that CZcams would crash because it wouldn’t load the ads
I remember when there were only pop up ads on YT that you could just close with an X in the top right corner.
Then they added the long format ads, after that they added double ads.
Every time there is an unskippable ad nowadays I reload the vid but I either have to repeat it like 6-7 times now (last year it did the trick after one reload) or the vid just goes back to the start again and I have to find where I was because I was tabbed out.
I don't want to hear an ad that's 2-3x louder than the vid I am trying to watch, especially when I am watching the said vid while trying to fall asleep.
Besides that I am not getting anything directly for watching the ads that are often horrible oversexualized mobile games for kids or a scam or some beauty product for women.
All what YT is doing is just making me lose interest in the video I was watching, simple as that.
Unfortunately because of this, I am getting funnelled into shorts, which is a format of content I want to avoid, but it's pretty much the only viable content format because you can scroll away from an ad easily.
Now they want these pause ads...
When I stop a video because let's say, someone in my family is talking to me, I don't want an ad to keep screaming.
I sincerely hope for a better competitor to cause the downfall of the greedy MFs who run this platform.

Im old. I was around when CZcams was free and mostly cat videos. Im not paying for something i previously got for free.
Ads were fine when creators got to choose if they wanted ads on their videos. Then CZcams changed to "if your video gets this many views it will have ads anyway" and now it's just "you will have ads on your videos wether you want them or not. You can take the check out not."
Ads are a hill I will gladly take a dirt nap on. I REFUSE to disable my adblock, PERIOD. I'll delete youtube first.
The pause banner ad would be much less intrusive than what they do now. But they could make much more money from premium if it wasn't bundled with YT music but instead got some value into the offer instead.
"Use free adblock or pay us 15 bucks a month for the same thing" just isn't a good enough offer.

Double ads was when I got an ad block. Wanted to support creators I liked with ads but the double ads was rediculous.
I've reached out to CZcams via social media about this issue.
I've had where there was an ad at the end of a video, then I switch to another video and get another ad.
I've had a drastic increase in ads (one ad every 45-90 seconds)
I've reached out and said that it was annoying for me
The only response I received was "I'm sorry, but we don't actually care"
CZcams is an advertising platform. It doesn’t give a hoot about its viewers as that’s their product. There can never be a “healthy trade off” with companies whose revenue is based on advertising. Ever. It’s inevitable that ads will grow over time because no company wants, nor can keep, their revenue stagnant. As the company grows and requires more expense, who is going to pay for it? Well, with an ad based business model, the ads pay for that growth so ads must also grow. This is why we should never support ad based business models. Those types of businesses offer 0 value to you. They are only valuable to their advertisers.
Use ad blockers aggressively. It is now our duty to do so. Stop watching CZcams through the tv app. Stream from your phone or use hdmi to plug in a computer and stream from there.
Everything will go downhill when you forget who runs your platform and all the corporate heads care about is a few more seconds of ad retention when your video is paused
You know, I would be willing to get YT Premium if they actually moderated their mods.
Now, I'm willing to pay top-dollar for an Ad-block they can't counter because they don't deserve a single penny from me. I will quit the Internet and just go to doing personal projects and going outside full-time before I would even spit in CZcams's direction.

I never hear anyone mention this but CZcams actually punishes you if you choose not to skip a skippable ad by showing you another ad that may or may not be skippable.
They are making everyone watch double ads but our revenues didn’t even increase at all. So this is just a lose lose for everyone except for the people in the higher ups who want to make life harder for everyone.
Maybe if you cut your CEO pay maybe you can afford to maintain the platform.
If CZcams cared, they would give you "premium" no ad features on creators you donate a dollar or more to via their system.

CZcams does something like this, and it just results in more people hating it and thus seeking an adblocker will be become increasingly more prominent. If CZcams actually fixes the issue such as improving the quality of the ads and have ads that are actually worth watching and offer more than just a product or service.

Ads happen almost every vid click for me. 90% of vids START with ads.
It wouldnt be so bad if they didn't have ads every 2 minutes in a video. As soon as I'm watching a video on a device that I cant use ad block, I leave the page as soon as the ad starts. The first 5 or 10 second ad is OK for the beginning of a video, then when ads start to load every 2 minutes i leave.

Im glad you made this. My phone app is the same skip in 5 secs. But on computer and Xbox I get an ad at every 2min mark. every ad is up to 30secs mandatory and up to 99+ secs and almost every one has a 5 secs to skip then goes on re count down 5sec to skip. Even old videos from 4+ years are getting it.
YT Premium is NOT an option, i will NOT pay youtube money to keep screwing us over.

I was watching yt on a tv, specifically a 1-hour video, and the ad breaks were at least 45 seconds WORTH of ads EACH, claiming to show more at once for less breaks even though they were less than 15-20 minutes apart
