It amazes me how some cops act like they police in an active war zone.
Just remember that US soldiers in an active war zone have stricter rules of engagement than law enforcement in the US.
@@j.peters1222Honestly. It’s always embarrassing seeing some officer with a decade of experience say they feared for their life against an unarmed person while an 18 year old in a high stress environment kept their cool around armed individuals.
Eh, it makes sense for places like Chicago, Detroit, or New York.
My coworker was telling me about this at work today. Crazy how just anybody can be a police officer when they really shouldn't.
Lack of training and people wanting to be coos has dropped the standard considerably.
all for a FREAKING ACORN?!?!?!!?!?!
That’s one of the biggest problems in American police, the lack of accountability. I get that they have a job to do but that doesn’t excuse incompetence and negligence. Any other job would have you fired, police should not be immune. All that does is hurt the cops who are actually doing their job, meanwhile the bad ones get protected
Dude didnt trip he full on tactical rolled himself into insanity 😂
I think it should take 1 or at least 3 years before someone becomes a full fledged police officer including physiological evaluation
Or they start in a probationary state and can't carry until they are cleared.. which takes 1-3 years, like you suggested
Maybe a mandatory yearly psyche check should be put in
@@theMadness36 not being able to carry a gun as a for 1 to 3 years is a terrible idea criminals would take advantage of that the moment they can especially in big cities

The thing is, when an officer resigns, or is fired, that really just means they're getting a position at another department.
Qualified immunity REALLY needs to go. This whackadoodle in particular needs to be up on a rather long list of charges. I just can't even.
Bro was a suspect and now he's a victim.
Just a reminder: cops are legally not obligated to protect or serve you in any way whatsoever. Its literally been determined in legal courts that it is not their job to protect you or act to save you. Their job is, instead, to protect society, as in, the institution of society. If someone acts criminally, the cops job is to arrest them because their actions harm the institutions of society, not because what they did is potentially harmful to you as a person. As well, in the United States, this extends to all government employees and indeed the government. A social worker is under zero obligation to actually remove a child from a home they believe to be dangerous unless proof is obtained in the form of what amounts to personally witnessing the child being abused. They are also legally immune to civil liability for this, cops and other government employees, because they all fall under the protection of qualified immunity unless otherwise shown not to be
The government has no obligation to do anything to protect you, and is normally immune to retribution for neglecting to do so. You, however, have a legal obligation to pay the government taxes, and can not remove your consent to pay them. You must serve the government, but the government not only does not need to serve you, it is in fact not even their job mucb of the time and they are legally immune in many cases to being sued.
Just a friendly reminder
No wonder people and states are starting to rebel and crime is on the rise
I mean, isn't it naturally assumed that the police are only responsible for the safety of society at large rather than on an individual level?
They don’t protect “society” they protect capital. In America, private property is deemed more valuable than human life, which is why cops don’t look out for the betterment of others or to protect citizens from “crime”, they seek out anybody who is a threat to private property.
GTA cop right here
Bro thinks hes chicken little 💀
As someone who’s younger brother just became a police officer I think about the situations he will be facing everyday that might happen to him
This video is now one of those situations
tell him to stay frosty and to make sure that there is actually a armed person around before he popps a few off
Make sure he understand that the guy he just patted down and handcuffed most likely didn’t not somehow magically summon a gun and fire at him from within a police car without any damage to the glass.
When I first saw this situation, I thought this was a shitpost
Me:Can Florida get any weirder
Florida:Police officer freaks out over a acorn
This dude is basically every cop in GTA.
So if you are a police officer and commit what would be a crime or homicide as long as you resign, you are absolved of all issues and questions? And since he resigned with no charges he is free to join another law enforcement agency?
Yes because hes a cop he doesn't get arrested nor trialed in a court of law for hes actions because they are above the law as long as the resign of course because resigning magically absolves them of all crimes.
This is worse than that one cop would left his cop car on the Train Tracks and then a Train struck it while a woman was handcuffed inside.
The police are becoming more like GTA cops everyday
This is something straight out of the Simpsons or Family Guy.

This seems like it'd be a great opening scene for a buddy cop sitcom where the cop screws up and has to try redeem himself.
With Adam Sandler as the cop 😂😂😂
I’m sorry but an Acorn? 😂😂 I doesn’t even make a gun sound 😂😂
As someone who owns a couple of guns, this guy is an absolute brainlet. I’ve never heard a silenced .22lr (the smallest and quietest common caliber for those unaware) pistol in person, but I got to imagine even that has got to be significantly louder than an acorn falling on a car.
This is why cops have body cams and cops are mad about it. 😂

Optimus first day as a cop
I knew it - the squirrels are rebelling against us, and at this rate, no birdhouses will be safe from their iron grip
Defending the police is not the answer but jfc we need stricter quality control on officers.
The cop knew what was going on, he was just looking for any excuse to fire his gun
i didn’t even f**king hear the acorn fall, that guy’s just clinically insane
Wait until optimus learns about qualified immunity.
What is that
It basically protects law enforcement and government officials from lawsuits. Especially when they violate a person's civil rights.
"ACORN FIRE, ACORN FIRE !!!!"
I disagree with 2nd officer not justified in shooting. Her partner said "shots fired, im hit, its coming from the car" she was giving false information of the target and danger. First dude should be tried tho
Sarcastically, I find it hilarious that the cop mag dumped into his cruiser, WHILE the guy in the back seat was handcuffed and buckled, and didn’t pose any immediate threat. The guy was sitting in what is essentially a mobile jail cell. Standard procedure is that the cops search you and confirm you don’t have any weapons or drugs in any hidden pockets or areas of your body before they place you inside.
So I guess the cop just forgot? Yep. This cop is no different than the guy he arrested.
I respect cops for their service, but only those who are 100% respectful and responsible of their authority.
Yeah, they should definitely face some consequences. All of this over an acorn.
As someone who had had a bad experience with police (not personally but with family twice) I will never say we need to get rid of them but there needs to almost be tons of retraining or something because this feels more common anymore
Everyday, my respects for cops are getting lesser and lesser.
One of the worse displays of power tripping I’ve seen. If not for the badge, he’d likely be facing several criminal charges: as he should. He is a danger to himself and others with this amount of authority working under law enforcement. Almost killing someone because of your inability to understand the situation is asinine.
3:34 good news is that he resigned after this I don’t wanna clap for him, but I’m at least happy that he noticed that he was no mentally fit enough to be a police officer
That guy shouldn't be allowed to have a guy let alone be a police officer.
Qualified immunity when they hire anybody is a joke
There is incompetence, and then there is this "police officer"...
