The girl that did the choo choo is my best friend and we’re both training for our first marathon together. She called me right after while I was doing my long run and we geeked out because we love watching you train. Thanks for inspiring us Cody!
Man it is crazy how chill this channel is. Not even going to the golden globes behind the scenes can bring up the energy. Cause no. We chill here and vibe.
I love all the cute ass stories in the comments about people using this channel for inspiration to start or continue training. Such a cute and cool little sub-community of Cody’s. Rooting for all of you!
Same! It's honestly inspired me to take on some non-fitness related tasks that I've been putting off for awhile and I'm actually seeing progress and feeling hopeful for the first time in awhile.
I used to run cross country, injured my hip 7 years ago in high school, it never healed correctly, and I haven’t been able to run since. This channel was the thing that finally motivated me to go to the doctor’s and get that shit fixed. I’m gonna start running again when it’s better. Thanks, Cody. CHOO CHOO
Cody is the reason I began to train for my first ever 5k. Had never ran a race in my adult life before then. After 8 weeks of training, I ran the whole thing without stopping once in 32 minutes. Currently training for my second one at an even faster pace. Thanks for everything, and choo choo baby
I love how Cody is so enthusiastic and pumped to workout, just overall so positive but you can see behind his eyes that he in fact does not want to workout sometimes. That’s so inspiring
Speaking of which I have no races planned but I’m going to add in some running to my weekly routine despite hating it 😅 I’m hoping to hit up a bunch of climbs this year in the Utah deserts.
I’m training for my first 5K for the OKC memorial and these vids really do be pushing me to not skip my runs after my 9hour work days. Choo Choo, I appreciate you!!
He literally motivates me to train and get as much work done everyday with his constant complaining and screaming. Makes it so real for me and obtainable. CHOO CHOO 🚂 ❤
What’s up Cody! I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant and I’ve been following your training journey since the channel started. Just wanted to pop by and say that you’ve motivated me to stay active during this pregnancy and because of that, I’ve maintained a healthy weight and also have a healthy daughter on the way. Also just signed up for a 5K in May and I’m excited to get back to it once healing happens! Thanks for sharing your progress and healing with us! 🙏
I know this is a channel dedicated for training but I think it could be interesting if you incorporated how you balance your work and training more in the videos. I know you don’t have a 9-5 but I struggle a lot with balancing my job with staying fit so it would be cool to see how you do it!
Hey Cody! I just signed up for my first marathon in Ireland, I've been training since last August and have lost 5 stone in the process, your videos have been a big inspiration on those days where I don't feel like running but you've always made me do it
I signed up for my first marathon (the Calgary Marathon) a couple weeks before seeing the first Cody Trains video. I've never run a race before but after playing competitive sports my whole childhood and then doing nothing for the last 5-ish years, I needed something to challenge myself physically. I've got a long way to go in training since I haven't even ran a half marathon distance yet, and these videos help me stay motivated. We'd better see you at the Calgary Marathon Cody, you're a local legend!
these videos have been so motivating, even apart from physical training. you mentioned only having 16 weeks until the race and amping up your effort and focus. i just started my last semester of uni which is also 16 weeks, so your comments helped motivate me to grind from the start because you're right, 16 weeks isn't actually that long.
i'm 16 weeks out from my second marathon. the first one I didn't train properly for and it was a horrible experience. this time I'm imagining we are in this together, and your videos keeps me committed to training. we got this! CHOO CHOO
not doing a marathon or anything but I recently cut out thc and I have so much more energy to work out and Cody trains is easily becoming one of my favorite channels on YT and is helping me get through!! It’s so important to force yourself to do hard things every day. Choo choo!!
My husband and I are training for his first half marathon, and these videos always give us some extra motivation for our long runs! :) ENERGY IS EVERYTHING
Has he signed up for a marathon and you’re just training together or are you gonna participate too? Just curious. Also good on you guys, keep it going!!
My boyfriend and I are signing up for our first 10k after months of motivational build-up from Cody trains! we both were athletic in high school & played sports our whole life and he's still pretty active, but I haven't regularly exercised in almost 5 years. I've been wanting to figure out a way to start exercising again, but have been scared and intimidated. Your channel has been really helpful in showing that exercise and training isn't perfect and that its ok to be chill and miserable at times lol. thanks for all the amazing content!
I'm a climber, not a runner really (though you keep making me consider it..) but you've definitely motivated me to work out every day! My exercise has been really casual but watching you always makes me think, why not? Why not go every day and do SOMETHING when I can? It's so clear how many benefits you've been getting from this training and I want to feel that too 💪choo choo
So I just recently graduated in May with a data science degree and I played football at my college. Listening to you and Danny’s podcast a couple weeks ago really inspired me to start running. I’ve felt kinda lost without something to work for and compete for like I could with football. So I signed up for a half marathon (furthest I’ve ever ran was 3 miles prior to this training) after hearing you guys talk about training. I’m about halfway through my training program and these vids help keep me motivated
I signed up for my first half marathon because of you. It's the last weekend of March and I am now able to run 7 miles no breaks at 9 minute pace. Your videos keep me going!
Since watching this channel I got serious about going to the gym again and I’ve felt the best I have in a long time. Thanks for the inspiration, we all appreciate it and you.
This channel helped pull me out of my workout hiatus back in November and got me consistently back in the gym. My mental and physical health have skyrocketed since then and it all started here. Choo choo, Mr. Ko. Choo choo.
Hey Cody! Got back into running back last Summer after a long break since covid shutdown my senior track season. You're channel has been one of the many things that has invigorated my love for training and this sport. Everyone always asks me why I like to run, and while some runs are fun, the main reason I always say is the mental side. My life is just happier when I'm running. Broke my Half Marathon PR last December and am planning on running my first Marathon this Fall. I always looking forward to watching you're channel every Monday, and good luck with your upcoming Ironman! Choo Choo!
I just finished my first half marathon last week, and your videos were a big part in keeping my motivation during my training. I'm already planning on doing a marathon later this year :)
Running a half-marathon in mid-April, starting week 3 of training tomorrow! Never really liked running much but you inspired me to try and I've been enjoying it more as it goes. Thanks for all you do Cody
You’ve motivated me to get back into running, I’m doing couch to 5k with the aim to eventually run a 5k! Love seeing your training journey, with all the ups and downs. Thanks for the honesty :)
I’m running my first half-marathon in mid February as a tribute to a runner friend who passed away about 5 years ago. I’ve been running 5ks since I was a little girl but she inspired me to start going farther distances. I miss having a friend to run with, so it’s been really nice to watch your training videos, thank you Cody for your motivation and positivity!
Training for my first half marathon in spring! These videos motivate me to keep going even on zero motivation days. I can't wait for the day when 8 minute miles are no big deal :D
I felt inspired to run a 5K back in October because of your videos and now I'm training for my first half marathon in Nashville this April! I never would have thought I could even attempt anything like this before, and every week I'm running farther than I ever have before. Thanks for the inspo
Not training for a race or anything but these videos have motivated me to workout more and eat better. Been hitting the indoor rowing machine a ton and I'm down about 20 pounds in 3 months now and seeing significant cardio gain. Been thinking about getting into running because of these videos also once the weather gets a bit better. Thanks for being an inspiration
Two weeks into training for my first ever 5k! Your videos are always a ton of fun and a huge inspiration to me, so thanks so much for keeping the channel going! CHOO CHOO
I’m training for the Carmel Marathon in Indianapolis coming up in April and I look forward to these videos every week man. Definitely helping me stay motivated and I love the longer videos, nothing boring about them!
I'll be running a Marathon in April and am currently training to be a triathlete. I can't explain how much your videos entertain me, which makes training more fun and makes me look forward to the workouts. Thank you so much Cody. Keep grinding! Much love from Germany

I am signed up for my first marathon (Salt Lake City - April 22nd) and am in my 6th week of training! It’s been a hard and fun process to try something I’ve never done before and ENERGY IS EVERYTHING!! thank you for making training a much more approachable and relaxed environment - the vibes of your videos are immaculate.
Got me back into running after a 5 year break and knee injury! Training for a 5k and have never been more motivated and excited! You make training so fun!
I am mostly a strength workout person and my cardio was shit, but you motivated me to start running and I found it really enjoyable so I've signed for half marathon this summer in Poland. Thanks and keep going with this channel!
My marathon is my physical therapy ☺️ I'm going into surgery for my back in a couple of days, and honestly this channel makes me feel less alone. The mental strength that goes into physical therapy is just like training. I swim when I can and do PT twice a day. Thanks for these, looking forward to being able to watch in the weeks ahead when I'm stuck in bed. Can't wait to be healing from the procedure and getting stronger.
Super impressed with your endurance Cody! I race professional motocross and just 3 weeks back on my bike from my second acl surgery. Super pumped on how far you’ve come from being a goon setting up your wahoo for zwift. Remember…. ENERGY IS EVERYTHING!
i get so stoked watching these, i went through all these learning curves back before my first half ironman in september, watching these and seeing your training mileage is making me think I could go for a full! i just hate biking so much so kudos to you for commuting
Ran my first sub 20 minute 5k (3 miles) run yesterday, been inspired by the videos these past couple months Cody, they have definitely helped push me towards the goal.❤ Also ENERGY IS EVERYTHING
'purely elizabeth' slaps, it's my go to granola when i don't make my own. what is your stretching routine (stretches, warm-ups, cool-downs) like? been curious about that part of your training!

Cody! I’ve been following you for a while & it’s rad to see your progress. I’ve never been a runner, but have always wanted to run a race. Because of your videos I started training for a half marathon this week & my race is in May! Im so excited & just want to say thanks for sharing your journey.
