    Great video! I've got the same car and I'm planning on doing the same mods to mine and I'm sure to be referencing your vids. Please show us the end results and sound when you have time! Thanks.

    This is very Awesome video. Thanks for taking your time to walk through how it is being done. I would like to know what did you do with the Control line for pressure difference sensor? Do you leave them open or plug them up since the delete kit does not have that option? Thank you!

      Happy to hear this video is of help. I folded it back on it self and zipped tied it. Kind of like with a water hose when it's flowing and you bend the hose to stop the flow. That's exactly what I did and held on by zip ties

    why do alot of youtube videos not show the hardest part- like this video not showing removal of the downpipe? The catalyst is trapped between the firewall and some what looks like egr pipes on the back of the head. I can see in the video the corrugated pipe still installed but mine hust wont come out. Tried the bottom but the mount bracket is hitting the tranmission housing and cannot seem to rotate it away.

    • @markb6s4
      @markb6s4  Před 3 měsíci

      I do apologize for not showing that part and only mentioning verbally how to remove it. After rewatching that portion I mention I took it from the "bottom" and this isn't clear to the audience. I meant to say from the "bottom to top". So the down pipe I removed from the top side. I got my words mixed up. For the two lines that go to the EGR they are screwed to the transmission or firewall (can't remember) I removed it's bracket to allow those lines to be moved out of the way. And then there was one sensor that I couldn't reach from the top or bottom. I disconnected it from the engine side and took it out once it was out of the car.

    • @JD-ui7rs
      @JD-ui7rs Před 3 měsíci

      @@markb6s4 I ultimately removed it from the bottom. The two lines had to be loosened from the firewall and then it could come out the bottom. No way could I get it out the top. Not sure the difference in your experience but it was too tight between the egr cooler and firewall. Thanks for replying?

    • @markb6s4
      @markb6s4  Před 3 měsíci

      @@JD-ui7rs the reason why I didn't remove it from the bottom was bc I thought I wouldn't have enough clearance to remove it. Since I didn't use and floor jacks and just had the air ride at the heights setting

    So you didn’t have to remove the transmission cross member like rawtek suggest?

    • @markb6s4
      @markb6s4  Před 3 lety +3

      Correct. I didn't remove it. You'll have to wiggle the DPF a little to get it out. And then if you are installing the delete kit you'll also have to wiggle it back in. I go into a little more detail on the install in part 2 where I install the delete kit

      I also did not, on my 2013. I had to push the flex joint on the downpipe side up towards the top while getting the flange bolts free. After that, the flange tried to get hung up on heat shielding but I just compressed it back and everything wiggled out fine.
