      Yeah no problem. It's a lot cheaper to spend $2 for an adapter at a hardware store then other replaced ive found online. Happy to help!

    Awesome got to service mine this weekend. I have the fill tool and a bidirectional scan tool. I have done several trans services but on the older model. This seems to be the same.

    Hey, I've watched most of your Q7 videos... was wondering if you have thought about a fuel filter change video. I'd really like to do mine and your videos are always so well done. Thanks for posting such great content. Jim

      Sadly i already did do a fuel filter and this was before I started recording videos. But when the time comes i have to change it out again I'll for sure be making a video on it

      @@markb6s4 The physical change out is not difficult.... my question is do you fill the new filter with fuel, do you have to have computer software to run a priming function or can you just turn the ignition on and off about 10 times to prime it? I know air to the high pressure side is a no no.

      @@jimw3799 no need to fill the filter with fuel. Install the filter dry. Then you'll have to use vcds to prime the filter or some other device that can prime the filter. Do not turn on and off the car!

    Great video!! i have a random question ,
    I thought that the engine had to be running and trans in park at the end to check final level along with appropriate trans oil temperature

      You are correct! The engine has to be in idle with in the 35°C - 45°C. I failed to give that information. I'll update the the info on my discription

    thanks for the video! I had myQ7 serviced withnew trans fluid, gasket, etc, from a shop...but problem is after they did it the transmission now has a delayed shift when I come to a stop. I took it back to them and they say the fluid level is fine but I never had this issue before. Seems like the level is low or something, it shouldn't take 5 seconds for it to shift into the 1st gear when I come to ta stop.. What do you think?

      It can be a few things. They may not of topped it off correctly. They may have accidentally hit up against the tranny when it was open which may cause a solenoid to delay shifting gears. It can be a few things. As always if they did do some sort of damage they will most likely not admit it. Sadly it's kind a hard to trust mech. If they did the job correctly. There are some honest mechanics out there but itll take time and money to find one

      I don't remember the exact temp it was outside but this was during the summer time where it does get hot out side. Personally I can't recommend predicting the ATF temp by time and ambient temperature.

      The program is free if you Google Ross tech. But the cable (vagcom) that you can buy from Ross tech or try to find a used on any Audi forums, but be fast they get sold really fast

    Great demonstration, I do not own the VWcom cable or pc software for proper monitoring, is it possible to let the transmission oil warm up for 6-7 mins and drain the excess without the live software monitor any tips please my friend thanx

      That can be risky to do it that way. It all depends what your out side temp is. If some one does it that way when it's 30 deg F and another when it's 90 deg F you'll get different temperatures if they both wait at the same time like 6 minutes. I dont recommend it that way

      @@treedeblue you folks way over think the most simple of things. Just get a cheap infrared temp gun for $30 and run it until your oil pan is at or close to the right temperature for final level check.

    Can you please confirm final oil level check should be performed with engine off? Always thought engine should run and gearbox in Neutal (not parking) position

      have the vehicle on at idle and in (P). allow for the fuild to be with in range and open the plug to allow the extra atf to drain out.

    Did you have any issues with parts and oil you have used in this video. Reason i'm asking since this are not true OEM pars and rather OE. Just wondering if it is worth spending $35/Liter when the oil you used is $13/Liter. Thank you for all of these videos

      Hi, since the making of this video I have not had any issues. The Q7 has been one 2 12 hour long road trip. And one of those trip carrying a haul trailer (12ft trailer) loaded all the way also for a 12 hour drive from 2500ft elevation up to 5200 ft elevation. No issue with shifting. No strange sounds or not issue so far. And I am with a stock TCU tune. I would eventually like to get a TCU tune but haven't lately.

      @@MilanDisljenkovic yes. Two different tunes. The Malone tune is only for the ECU, which effects the engine. And the TCU tune is for the transmission.

    I just brought this aisin oil for my gearbox i’ve been to the mechanic to do the change and he says will not recommend this oil what I’m asking now do you had any problems with this oil in your gearbox can I continue to change mine with this oil thanks in advance

      Since I have changed the oil to the transmission i have added about 13k miles on the q7. I have gone one a few road trips. Hauled a trailer for (800miles). As for my driving habits i do kinda get on it here and there 😁. during that time I have not had any issues with my transmission. I know that FCP euro had updated and have more if a selection of oil for the transmission now/ kit since the release of this video. Here is the link

      @@asetunc1 i understand now. The green connector is attached to the belly of the oil pan. When the drain plug is removed you'll be able to see the green connector up in the hole of the oil pan

      From 2013-2015 is the same transmission. To my understanding ZF and Aisin are different, but they do look the same

    I have a 2011 Audi q7 tdi and wanted to change the transmission oil but the Audi dealer said that no need to change its life time?

      in all honesty all fluid will degrade with time and ware. Depending on how many miles your car has it may be advice to change or not to change. if you are with in the 50k miles its advice to change the fuild. if you are above the 100k miles and has not been changed it can be a gamble bc changing the fuild may do more harm then good. if you are +150K miles and never been changed its best to leave the fuild alone. Ill say it again all types of fuilds will degrade over time. there is never a lifetime fluid.

      @@shefkipajaziti1181 it is definitely a gamble. You may be good or you may not. But I would see how long have you had the car for and how did you drive it. If it was driven very hard in your time of owner ship or was it driven conservatively. From there you can make a judgment call. If you where to replace the oil and there aren't any metal shavings on the bottom of where the magnets are then you are good.

      @@markb6s4 thanks for the replay. I’m not confident in doing it myself since I don’t know how to check the temperature like you did. However, one audi dew;worship wanted $1750 for oil change but called another one 2 hours away it was $450 plus tax that includes oil and filter so I scheduled with them for the 18th of January hope I won’t have issues. After that I’ll do the differentials

      Changing the fluid at almost any mileage is fine. 90K change is completely fine. It’s better than keeping the worn degraded fluid in there. Flushing fluid at higher miles is not. Changing vs Flushing.

    How old was that oil and did it have much metal shaving in it?

      I am confident that the oil has been in the car from the factory. So from 2013 to 2021 is the age of the oil. And no there was no metal shaving 👍

      Thanks for your reply. I have a 2013 cayenne s that never changed the transmission mission fluid, ( as per the silly advice of the dealership) the car is shifting normally and just completed 80,000 miles. Do you think it is risky to change the fluid now? Thanks

      @@zyh6566 you are definitely on the boarder of still being safe and not as risky. It all depends how those 80,000 miles were driven. Were they conservative or was it always hard driving? Were you towing a lot? If the car was driven carefully then it's safe and if it was always driving really hard then that may be a gamble or as you mention shifting still feels good and it may be safe

      @@markb6s4 thanx for the feedback. I sent the car yesterday for maintenance. They told me they rarely faced a a damaged Aisin 8 speed before hitting the 160k! And advised no need to change the fluid. I insisted to change it along with the diff and transfer case oil. Fingers crossed they don't mess up the job🤞.

    I dud thus and niw 2nd key wont work at all even starting car and nain key wont locj or unlick lights flash fast and nothing happens be very carefulm doumg this it could bite u both keys worked fine exceot ine woukdnt open taigate on 2013 q7 very unhapoy now i cant licj var an only ine key starts car or even turns on batteries are fine both new............

    Thanks for the video @mark_b6s4. For anyone else doing this job, figured I'd post the following from the service manual as a heads-up (I hope it helps):
    - Add ATF using ATF Filler Tool - V.A.G 1924- until ATF drips from the check hole.
    - Move the selector lever into “P”.
    - Start the engine, wait 20 seconds and then turn it off.
    - Add ATF using ATF Filler Tool - V.A.G 1924- until ATF drips from the check hole.
    - Start the engine.
    - Continue to add ATF using the ATF filler tool - V.A.G 1924- until ATF starts to come out again from the check hole.
    - Tighten the old ATF inspection plug.
    - With engine idling depress the brake pedal and shift the selector lever through all the selector lever positions leaving the selector lever at least 10 seconds in each position.
    - Move the selector lever into “N”.
    - Increase the RPM to 2000 and hold it there for at least 60 seconds.
    - Move the selector lever into “P”.
    - Check ATF Level, and fill
