    10s across the board! Another benefit is the fact that South Africa is one of the top holiday destinations in the world. So one could turn their investment property (possibly overlooking some exquisite sea view) into a holiday home for tourists! Now that’s income for daaayzzz, what do you think?

      This would probably be an airbnb option - leasing out your propoerty for short periods of time. it definitely has its perks but you have to ensure that the income you make also covers the months or days when you dont have any tenants ( non holiday seasons etc) but this def has potential to be a very profitable venture if done right.

    Awesome Yolanda such a great video🎉🎉short and straight to the points. Do you have any advice on where one could get those properties that yield a positive cash flow? Especially in Gauteng

      Thank you so much for watching Mpho 💜🙏🏽- you are really gonna have to crunch the numbers with any property you find to see it’s cash flow positive but I can tell you now that most new developments in and around Joburg are rarely cash positive - you will find cash positive properties on your lower to middle income areas in Jozi like Kempton Park or Joburg South. Also another way to ensure that a properly is cash flow positive is to negotiate the purchase price - never accept the first offer on the table. Buying at a lower price should give you a good chance of being cash flow positive. Hope that’s helped 😊

      Thanks for watching babe. You can inquire with any bank, not just the one you bank with - you might be surprised at which bank actually ends up giving you the best deal/lowest interest rate it’s not always the one you bank with.

    What if I rent out a room in my house, do I pay tax on that ?

    • @PropertyTalkWithYolz
      @PropertyTalkWithYolz  Před 3 lety

      yep. even if you are subletting a room in your own home - this is income you are receiving and it needs to be declared to SARS unfortunately.
