    $63,900 before markups.
    Quick math:
    $6,400 down (10%)
    + tax and interest (7.64)
    60 Months Payment: $1260
    @12.5% of take home pay you should be earning $157,500 annually to be looking at this car (assuming the appropriate taxes are coming out of your paycheck).
    National average wage (US Census): $63795.
    Percentage making $150k annually: approx. 8.3%
    5 Year price increase Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro:
    2019 MSRP: $42,960
    2024 MSRP: $63,900
    49% increase
    Wage growth 2019-2024: 1.7% (Source: US Treasury)
    These price increases far outpace inflation and wage growth.
    Toyota is targeting 8% of total market. Or people who just want to act fiscally irresponsible.

    8 years ago $65,000 could get you a full size truck with the highest trim level. The auto industry is pricing 90% of people out from buying their new vehicles.

    I wanted to buy a 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro and found no dealer would give it to me at list price. Most wanted more than 60k for the car. I bought a 2022 Ford Tremor and love it. Its actually comfortable compared to the Tacoma. I spent 6k more but got a ton more for the price and paid sticker.

      I think it would be better to compare it to another top of the line mid size truck. A tundra trd pro is 10k more expensive then a tacoma trd pro.

      Yeah paid $62k for a brand new 2019 GMC 3500 Denali Duramax diesel. I understand inflation, but won’t support hyperinflation or just getting taken advantage of with Covid crap. If enough of us hold off to make the manufacturers and dealers hurt, the prices will drop.

    Price on the TRD pro? Not sure why I’m asking. It will be too much. Much cheaper to just buy a dirt bike and a regular trim truck.

      Yes for the trail hunters. For trd pro, it will probably be 65 k. For base but if full loaded so it’s 70 or more than that either I found out today.

    • @ragnarok400
      @ragnarok400 Před 24 dny +1

      @nikosabate8785 no that's the actual price. Trailhunter - 62,900, long bed - 63,400. The trd pro is 63,900

    • @ragnarok400
      @ragnarok400 Před 24 dny +1

      @nikosabate8785 trd pro is 63,900. Destination charge will bring it to 65k and then tax which will bring the total to 70k. It's already fully loaded there's no other packages to choose from. There's add on you can get like a fridge or an air compressor.
