can't wait to go grocery shopping with this.
i use my Rubicon for walmart trips AND malls. Great over speed bumps. Scared to take the rubicon off road....might break!
Oh my wife's gonna love the Trail Hunter! It's gonna look so good in the Trader Joe's parking lot. And the line to pick my kids up from school. But when it comes to actually hitting the trails and leaving cell phone service... I'll be taking the 5th gen.
Costco parking lot monster.
The world has been waiting for this one.
A legendary SUV.
For a loooooooooooooooooong time...
forEVERRRRR
Lyn is the RIGHT person to review cars. She's got experience and easy on the eyes. The 4runner looks did NOT disappoint!
Wow! I really like the new look of this vehicle. I especially like the "truckiness"...is that even a word....of this 4Runner. Toyota has been doing it's homework and it shows.
"If youre looking for youth.. they dont have a ton of money"
How dare you miss Lyn! 😂😂
Did she call us old?
@@EchoAccordshe called us broke 😂

Finally the 4R entered a new generation. Now Broncos and Wranglers got a serious competitor.
They are not the same class. A 4Runner is a midsize pickup. A jeep and bronco or not the same.
I think now the 4Runner has the same overly complicated engines as Jeep and Bronco. (4cylinder, turbo, hybrid stuff) If anything, they're all more alike now than ever. The 5th gen 4Runner was in a class by itself for it's simplicity. In my opinion, 6th gen just took a step down to be on the same level as Jeep and Bronco. But they're all cool in their own ways.
Many years waiting for this and I am not dissecting 👏🏻👏🏻
Toyota let the youtubers unleash it 😂
The just released the official presentation at the beach
Bye bye my 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid!
Better get rid of it before another scandal or recall hits the Hyundai Kia family 😂
And your checking account is gonna get a little lighter 😊
Just because it's a hybrid doesn't mean it will have good gas mileage, though. Fyi.
@@brizzight believe it or not, I have been getting between 32 - 45 mpg consistently depending on my driving. And it's not just gas mileage, it's your overall mileage on a gallon of gas including electric driving.
That should have never happened in the first place.
Toyota impresses once again! Can say without a doubt this will be the best SUV in terms of performance and luxurious interior! Can't beat this!
You must mean for the price. Clearly a lot of vehicles can beat this, including other Toyotas when it comes to performance and interior.
@@MercOneand quality
Wrong. Only a brainless fangirl like you says that
with the new 6 gen limited, now you get a loud small engine, more plastic interior that looks like a rav4. What are people smoking with the luxury interior.🙈 THE 5gen LIMITED LOOKS MORE LUXURIOUS THAN This!!!🙈 Lexus prices and a RAV4 interior. OUCH!😂
The legendary SUV 4Runner has been a true success for its predecessor for 2025.
I have Old Man Emu suspension on my 2000 4runner. Cool that Toyota is making it a factory option.
Have OME 3" lift on my 2014 trail. Great setup.
Do you know if the 3rd row will be offered with the Trailhunter trim?
Did I understand her to say that the Platinum package is only available with the 4 cylinder HYBRID? Also, anyone hear if the Platinum comes with heads up display? Thanks for responses ! One more, does the turbo mean this requires PREMIUM gasoline??
I wish you success in your work
FINALLY!
I love the new 4Runner design!!!
Another homerun from Toyota designers! Can't wait to take this for a drive!
People upset because its a 4 cylinder are the same ones who are still gonna buy it.
Nah, I am done. Going backwards to quality or a Lexus GX!
The reason why I like the v6 better is the simplicity. Have you seen the under hood of these new 4cyl hybrids? How are you supposed to work on that?
wrong, i just ordered my 2024 ORP
@@e-man8806 I agree. This 6th gen 4Runner is like every other 4 cylinder turbo/ hybrid car now. It used to be in a class all on it's own being about as simple as it gets. Now it's like every other car. They may as well re-branded it as a "body on frame trail Highlander."
Nah, we know how good we have it on the 5th gen because those turbos will blow out before we even consider that and that includes that fragile hybrid system. Ever looked under that hood? ITS A MESS!! Absolutely NO Clue what is coming your way.😂
Wow I really love it. It’s too big for me, but can’t wait to see them in the road.
Have a 5th gen Trail with a 3" lift Baja Boss A/T tires and set up for Overlanding...Can't wait to get a TrailHunter. Won't have to modify it, Just enjoy its capabilities in stock form and keep my warranty.

What's the difference between this and the land cruiser?
Land cruiser starts at $55000. This probably $43000
@@cancel.lgbtq.6892doubt it. Probably upwards of 50k
Beautiful 4Runner and beautiful Lynn
The Land cruiser is costing with options around 80k. At this price point it should make at least 450+HP.This will be the situation here too.
Love it. Want one.
Same a width and length as the highlander? I thought the 4runner was always wider and longer??
thank god i have that extra long driveway to get the mail.
Looks good but then we knew what we were going to get after the Tacoma release.
Love it ‼️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️🇯🇵❤️🇯🇵❤️🇯🇵
Good, now that this is out, can somebody please explain to me the difference between a Land Cruiser and a 4 runner and what is the justification for the price difference? I have a feeling that I’m looking at a Harley Davidson tax.
How is Toyota going to market this with the Land Cruiser 250?
I’m all for it in 2024! I could never bring myself to buy a Forerunner with an ancient 6 and a 5 speed transmission. Welcome to the second decade of the 21st century.
Where is the 2025 4Runner built for the USA market?
Hmm might wait for next years model!
I’m a youth and don’t have a lot of money but I like the trail edition.
Gorgeous 😍
So the taco without the bed ?
tempted to trade in the hybrid camry
Just in time. Wanting to downsize from the Sequoia but we had a 4runner nightshade edition and didn't like it. This is like a completely new vehicle.
Can't wait for the brand new redesign corolla and camry.
I like the Limited the best. The ones with body cladding look a bit juvenile, like Tonka toys.
Wondering what launching will be like with this 4 cylinder Turbo… looks heavier
Poor Lynn after all those trims in the Acura MDX review a whole lot more to contend with here .
it looks like the old seqoia, i like the look of the previous gen
Where's the rear window wiper?
Where it normally is hidden
They really love their air dams over at Toyota these days
For EPA MPG only. Men will take it off as soon as it gets home. Women will leave it as it, they don’t care.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Can not wait
I cant wait till fall. Im only letting go of my FJ because, i have a growing family.
Am I the only one who wishes there was a 2 door version? I think that would look sick. The rear door looks sort of odd anyway. Less so on the Limited because of the body matched fender flares, as u mentioned.
rear door is fine
Cool bus.
Did you have some bad oysters the night before at dinner or something, you keep walking away quickly after some of the segments. LOL
the premium ooption only have the hybird that kinda sucks. the trail guys dont want that. more to go wrong
The hybrid is definitely for power over mileage.
40 years and counting pure QDR
So glad Toyota is keeping the tradition of the 4Runner alive, unlike Nissan with the Pathfinder. This is nice, but I'm really not feeling the interior.
The price of the vehicle will be the big determining factor.
The next Toyota SUV that still needs to get a redesign is the Rav4
And the non grand Highlander
@seansean681 I thought tue Grand highlander was the new Highlander...wait a minute so let me get this straight Toyota is still making the normal highlander
@@mc.charleymusic yes
@@seansean681don’t see that happening. The Highlander will probably be discontinued in a few years if the demand for the grand highlander continues to be strong.
Who’s excited for this 6th gen?!?
Idk about the 4-cylinder hybrid. But 4-cylinder 4Runners are not new.. 30-40 years later and I still see them running around.
If power is your concern.. are you carrying 4 people with Costco groceries.. or are you towing livestock or a large boat? If your need is the latter, get a tundra or something else.
I can trust this a little bit more since it’s still manufactured in Japan.
I wonder about durability not power. Yes, a turbo four can produce as much power as a V6. But it is doing it at higher RPM's, which means each cylinder is firing twice as often as those in a V6, and at higher stresses. That means head gasket replacements.
So how this differs from the Land Cruiser? no more V6... sad
This looks amazing, but I would still go for 5th gen 4runner bcz that looks more cool and better engine. Turbochargers sucks.❤
Toyota is missing a winch capable front bumper for their off-road vehicle
The black cladding on some trims looks tacky, rear looks same as last gen, the rest of the body looks ok, but the front is a bit too tame
Definitely a good move with the turbocharging, but really? A 4-cyl? Why no Turbo V6?
GX550 thats why
Sequoia as well. Heck even the new LC didn’t get the Turbo 6, not to mention the new 4R.
Get a sequoia
This looks like a concept. 4runner just parked the new Landcruiser aside.
Wish they would stop decreasing the head space in these vehicles. Leave the box look alone
Normally aspirated V6 please!
I’ve been thinking about getting a new 4Runner for about a year now but with the current engine options they fixed that. I no longer want one. The top side of that engine looks like a bad science project.
Everyone’s favorite Toyota hater (me) is sitting here in glory. Because I predicted the 4Runner would be a mess before it was unveiled. I called it all over the internet 😁
Older 4 runners are reliable as fuck! Highly doubt these will make it 335k. I fORCE 2.4 L..ya, lost me in this info commercial for getting cool to go mall shopping. Old is gold amigo!
No way you will see old turbo fours running around with 300,000 miles. These are built to be disposable. They will last the original owner, and then fall to pieces in the resale market.
Forget the 4Runner I want Lyn Woodward instead 😋
Not feeling it. Perhaps it'll grow on me over time.
While the interior is an upgrade from the previous generation, it is not going to age well compared to its competitors.
All the crybabies are the same one since the new tundra came out 😂
Where's Micah?
great looking rig , but a 4 cylinder turbo with a battery carrying that big beast around long term reliability is unknown no matter who makes the vehicle
FACTS.

My only gripe is this engine has been having massive issues especially in the Lexus RX. I know someone who actually was propositioned by lexus to allow them to buy back her RX bc they couldn’t fix the issues. She ended up getting an Es350 bc she knew the V6 would be problem free. I’m not the biggest fan of us moving to 4-turbo engines but I understand the reason behind it, being fuel economy and overall efficiency to meet ever stringent EPA standards but this has pushed Toyota past their hallmark virtue of reliability/dependability above all else. They weren’t ready to transition to this engine era and it’s surfacing in their products
No V6 option. No sale. A turbo four will never hold up as long, and that isn't even debatable.
Where’s the data to support your statement? People act like turbos are a couple of years in existence when they have been around for decades. I have had two in the past 15 years and the turbo was never an issue.
Turbo hybrid the Camrys
Rip V6, you will be missed. Nobody cared that it was slow and thirsty, they appreciated the rock solid reliability, simplicity and low upkeep costs
No panoramic Sunroof? Bummer
disappointed, trunk window is small , but quick open close , color matching with shiny black does not match , interior is wired does not look good seems like cheap quality , buttons placement is not cool such as 360 degree camera .. after 14 year this is what toyota brings it ... could be better..
Something I cannot afford due to this economy inflation
These camera angles are so cheesy.
80k for a four cylinder is ludicrous
Bye bye reliability. Salute to the tank that is the previous Gen.
I agree the last true Toyota 4 runner was the 5th gen
it's not even out yet and you're already trolling with nonsense comments. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@@rerikm 😂 trolling or common sense? Right, common sense. Bravo! 👏
No new Toyota mr2
I’d rather have a 6 cylinder 4.0 liter with less horsepower than a 4 cylinder with more power. I know I can run my 2023 TRD OFF ROAD 300,000K with no problem but the over worked 4.0 cylinder will get tired and give up. Like everyone knows the 6 cylinder 4.0 liter is bulletproof 😉
Yup. Somebody is going to make a killing replacing head gaskets in these things.
Back window ruins it for me
I pass, will wait for 2 cylinder with more torque and hp
They just need an eight-turbo one cylinder.
Gotta get the current one before they gone & this POS replaces it 😂
Dear Santa please give me a winning powerball ticket so I can afford to buy a New Toyota
70k GAaaarrrbage!!!!!
Did she just say that knob i might break? Gimme a break.
Like the body of the car, but the hybrid sucks.
Lemme test drive these new engines . I’m a V8 addict , love the new rugged looks 🤷🏻♀️
$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I'd get one IF it had removable doors and roof panels like the Wrangler and Bronco. Isn't that Toyota's mark? And you all were worried about the rear window.... GTFOH. Hard pass!!!!
looks like a rhino tank lol
The body looks good. The tailgate is UGLY. I like the tail-lights though. The front end is blasé. The inside touch screen panel is TOO BIG and doesn't look good sticking over the dash. The 4 wheel drive controls are in the way. The Toyota logo on the dash is tacky. The shifter looks lame. And last but not least....horsepower means nothing without a reliable engine and turbocharged engines are anything but.
Just my personal opinion (owner of '96 and '20 4Runner).
