The CRF150RB Gets Some Upgrades! | (Alexis Installs)

  • When Alexis picked up this beautiful 2016 CRF150RB it was already packed full of upgrades and add ons. But there were a few things she wanted to switch up to start making it her own so in today's video she takes over the shop and gets to work!
Starting off with the brake lever she was having trouble feeling the skinny stock one with her boots on so this aftermarket Tusk lever made for a great replacement. After that she notices how filthy her air filter is and swaps it out with a freshie using an old trick from cheap ass AD!
To wrap things up she installs an aftermarket gripper seat cover which not only will help keep her locked in place but gave the 150 a fantastic look.
    What do you think?!

  • @endurotruckererniedesjardins

After washing and drying my air filters ( I have 3 for each bike)
I use maxima sticky blue filter oil. Stuff is super nasty but catches everything. I put a big splash in a plastic grocery bag, drop the filter in and rub the oil into the filter. I put lots so no area gets missed. Then on the filter seal (orange part) I use waterproof bearing grease and enough of it. Clean air filter every ride on 4 stroke race bikes is a absolute must... they rev super high so that means crazy amount of air going through the engine at max rpm. If sand goes in, its toast.
Be sure to inspect the seal and make sure its perfectly placed. Last clean the securing bolt and grease the washer to stop the sand from entering. In the 80s we used chain saw bar oil , it worked. But the maxima sticky stuff is the best stuff I've come across, I clean my filters in a 5 gallon bucket with a raised screen floor in it so sand goes to the bottom, wash with dish soap and water. Squeeze and hang dry in a dust free place

For seat covers,,, HEAT GUN OR HAIR DRIER , warm it up and it will stretch and form to the shape of the foam real nice n tight.
Light spray of upholstery glue over the foam helps the foam stick to the plastic base and keeps the seat cover sealed from water.
