Single Track Trail Building & Alexis's CRF150RB First Ride!

- In today's video we continue to make progress on our single track trail system, with the idea of incorporating some man made features I think this is really going to be an awesome riding area!
After that we hop on my girlfriend's new CRF150RB and go on our first ride testing out the bike in a few different conditions. Needless to say, I am in love!
I just hope Alexis feels the same way..

Honda definitely needs to get their shit together about a 150 and 250X. I'll also make an argument that there's a need for a CRF350L... I know at least 1 potential buyer.
I heard a rumor that Honda is pausing production for the 250l to make improvements.

If you want the bike to start easier, twist the throttle 3 times before you kick it. I have a 2015 RB and it starts either first or second time.
i use that too on my 09 crf250r

I have 2 150RB's and they are excellent bikes!!! i ride with my dad and we are both fairly new to the dirt bike world. Im 15 and 5"10 tall and this bike fits perfect. Everything about the bike is just awesome and it handles everything out on the trails so seamlessly. Note that i started on a CRF 125 Big wheel and after 1 ride i laid my eyes on the 150r. If you can manage the power they are super great trail bikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got me one of those little bikes. I was disappointed with it at first, but now that I got the carb cleaned and adjusted properly, this thing rips. It is a blast to ride in the woods.

I'm trying to catch up on a lot of videos CZcamsrs have been uploading in mass, even ones that have been AFK for years. Kind of why I haven't commented on your last few videos. lol
Anyways, to the point of this video, that is awesome you guys got the 150R. I've been thinking a lot about getting one for myself for the last few months, considering that I have a clapped CR80 I got back in August, can't get it to respond to the throttle since I fixed a seal leak. If I do like the power coming from the 150R, I might do an engine swap for the Grom with engine parts coming from Ebay for example, I don't have the heart to buy a bike just to remove the engine.
honda also needs to bring back there sport quads 250ex 400ex trx450 700xx at least bring back the 400ex. Great video can't wait to see more riding footage!!
we had a side stand on ours and what a pleasure it was to have. if the chain is the little oem chain it will stretch faster than grass grows. I put a heavier conversion kit on and solved that problem.

They have quarter turn throttle tubes so as an opposite maybe they have a adjustable throttle tube you can install for her so it has more travel to make the throttle even less snappy for her until she gets used to the snappy throttle?????
The CRF230F instead of the “L” would’ve been a great option, but hey nothing could go wrong riding that 150R for sure. Cheers 🙌🏻

I’ve been watching some videos on electric bikes and they are awesome. They seem just as strong as a 250 on bottom end but at top speeds the 250 seems to be a little faster. I would love to see you get one and do a review on it.

I've got a 150r and the kick is basically first time every time, unless you drop it. Then you need to turn the gas off and clear the engine but other than that it's a perfect bike.
Even the Corona loppers are like "braaaap". Or were they coughing? 😷1:39

150s are probably the most fun bike to ride and just have fun on . They also are just a good bike
even if honda doesnt make the 150x, at least make them fuel injected. these fcr carbs are a pain to set just right and you have to do the ap mod on it to get good throttle response.

Awesome bike I just got my crf150rb been a dream bike for me as a kid and now I got it I’m 23 and I’ve owned pretty much every other bike except this one I really wanted for so long Crf450r yz250 yz125 rm250 crf80 crf150f pw80 and I’m sure I’m forgetting a lot more I’ve owned lol

That is going to feel like a weapon to Alexis compared to the 230
I’ve owned a 150f and it’s apples to oranges to this bike. Plus the 150f is much larger and heavier than the 150RB. Don’t get me wrong cause I loved my 150f and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one cause they are a bullet proof and a great messing around/ pit bike but the power difference is night and day between the two.

When in doubt, gas it. That's my words of advice.
If you open the throttle wide open 2 or 3 times it will start much easier, the accelerator pump gives a squirt of gas when the throttle is cracked open. Should only need to when 60f or colder out
If you wanted to make that bike quieter than stock you may wanna check out the fmf q4 pipe or I’ve read on forums of people putting crf250x pipes on them. It would make it more trail friendly. My buddy has a 150r and it’s really loud so I know what your talking about.
For pit bikes you should get suszuki dr 125 or Yamaha ttr125
Does it have more power than 250l?
Can you change the flywheel weight in the 250l? Like have you done it and has it made a difference?

How do you pop wheelies with the 250 while sitting down? Also what sprockets are you running?
Maybe you have a different once but I believe that's the radiator pressure, not the temp. Not 100% sure though!

I'm the same I've got a 350 can only get the front up on the roads or going up hill off road
MyFirst4.0 13 Still learning how to wheelie too. What helped the most was learning how to pop the clutch which will make the bike go up. You also have to train your muscle memory into keeping right foot over rear brake because that brake will save you from looping the whole bike.
My training goes: pop clutch, bike goes up, use rear brake to make bike go back down. Keep doing this until it feels normal as walking.
@@sacool3588 yh I'm struggling with the whole popping the clutch. Are you doing it in first gear. I ride alot of mountain bike and thought meh cant be that much harder than the mountain bike ended up getting a dirt bike first ride I ate my own word and went straight to it impossible lol
@@socialising6037 do you have your clutch lever set up to be able to engage if you barely pull it in with finger? When I first started dirt bike riding I had to adjust my clutch lever to where I didn't even need to give throttle so the bike could go into first gear so I wouldn't keep stalling lol that was a big part why I couldn't pop the clutch at first.
Once I got better at riding, I adjusted my clutch to where if I barely pulled it in with one finger I could switch gears. Once you have it like that you'll be able to pop clutch easily. And yeah I'll do it in first or second gear. I still need to learn how to shift while wheeling though lol
They need a 150 RX for us shorter riders who want to be able to touch and handle the bike like the guys can on there 250's and 450's . Yes we can ride the 250's but I work harder than my riding partners who are riding the same bike but are 6 inches taller and 50lb heavier .nice to have the option to put your foot down and feel the ground and be able to pick the bike up easier as well.
They have a new 250f. It would be so nice for her!
It replaces the regular 230f
you should put it on tdc before starting it, it can fuck up the piston rings over time, and its easier to start

I need advice I am currently riding a 110 and im debating if i should get a 150 or 85 i like 2 strokes but the 150 seems more safe but I dont know I don’t race but I do trail ride and ride tracks but want to have that power but Im sorta scared of this 2 stroke powerband
Dont be scared of the powerband...2 stroke guys always make their bikes out to be rocket ships....I find for trail riding they are easier in the slow stuff as to a 4 stroke fi ..power is always there

Dude those tree's in the beginning of the video suck! I was ripping in my grandparents trails and one got my arm! The whole spike was inside and it freaking hurt lol
*EDIT* The one that stuck in my arm was not as big as those but it still hurt bad lol

ive had many 150r's and id say its better to drop the clutch in 3rd or 4th if your going fast and 2nd gear if your looking for nice slow wheelies. but dropping the clutch will help you get the front end up faster and you can reach the balance point.
DJ’s Garage thanks for the tips mate. It will be a bit harder as I’m 110 pounds and 5’6 on a 2008 Husqvarna 450. It’s pretty hard because u can’t just drop the clutch in any situation on this bike but I’m gonna try lol.
Alright, I’m a 5’8 14 year old, and by the time I get this bike or I plan on getting it, I will probably be 5’9, I weigh about 140, I don’t want a 250r, but I think I want a 150r, many people say I would be too big on it, but I would rather have this than the crf150f I have now. I know I might be too big for it, or I might not be, would this be a good bike for me? I see it hauls people around much taller and bigger than me. So should I get this bike?
What is the hot start? I think you like mud! My advice to Alexis would be stay out of mud as much as possible. Never liked getting all that mud in places that are hard to get it off.
