Area conversion into normal units: about 0.55 sq km, which is a square with 741m long sides. So, a relatively insignificant contribution, but also like 370 times more cost-effective, than TeamTrees.

Great stuff - pretty amazed how many trees (and how much land) can be bought & saved using this relatively small amount of money.

It’s really encouraging to me too! This estimation is based off their averages so the actual amount of trees will vary, but it’s awesome to see how much impact we actually can all have! And for sure, there’s more coming ;)

Not to discredit or anything, me being a little cynical of person, I gotta ask and wanted to know the science... hows the carbon footprint on printing and distributing those posters? I wanted to help too but I wanted to also be mindful of the net resource and expenses used to make sure we don't excess the emissions doing the project. It would be nice if you did walk-through on the process.

Thank you so much for saving 100,000 trees!! I'm in California where multiple wildfires are happening right now. Climate change is real. I can see it and I can feel it!
But were the posters eco-friendly or did they chop down trees to make them?
Likely both, depending on where they were manufactured and how the timber was sourced.
It's a little counter-intuitive, but wood is actually a renewable resource. Sometimes, the best way to save a forest is to use it for sustainable logging. It's much better to allow a section of forest to be chopped down and replanted than it is to clear the whole area and turn it into a pasture.

Definitely! One of the biggest contributors to climate change is deforestation. Solution: KEEP THOSE DAMN TREES STANDING WHERE THEY ARE! :)
