10 minutes ago and second!! And can you learn how to be friends with ducks? Ducks are my favorite animals and my dream is to have one as a pet. It would be an honor if my idea makes it into a video. And also, I love your editing! Keep up the good work! Tommo
throw a pencil like jon wick
the no handed whistle. i've been able to do the 2 and 1 for like 20 years, but the no handed has always eluded me.
learn yoyo please
die without dieing
I remember trying to learn how to whistle! took me ages to get it and the funny thing is, I cracked how to whistle while explaining my friend how it should work in theory 😂 and I remember getting lightheaded while I kept on trying
Hahaha that’s so good. The surprise on your face must’ve been golden
@@TommoCarroll you bet😂 & safe to say my neighbours weren't too stoked about it 😆
Learned by myself, don’t know how, learned in less than a year, magic.
Same here!
I learnt it in 21 or 12 days cuz I kept on practicing the o shape and now I can make tunes while whistling. It was so cool when I learnt tunes and my first tune was Indian national anthem
Seeing the excitement on his face gives me joy.
When I first got it as well, I laughed so hard 😂
given how you seem to like whistling (based on your other videos learning different whistles), I think learning how to warble or doing a vibrato would be cool for you, or just getting your pucker whistle being loud
Good idea!
Actually, Tom is a good teacher and student
That’s a perfect compliment, cheers ❤️
Way to go man! It’s a good life skill to have. I originally learned the four finger “pistol” method and then ended up learning the one handed taxi whistle (that one takes more practice I think but you can get louder with that one). Took me a good amount of practice to get as loud as I can but it’s possible. Keep at it!
My Grandma taught me to whistle this loud. I never looked back after that.
I was trying at the same time as you and got it to work pretty quick. I then felt bad for the neighbours and will have to try in a different room 😂. I’ve always wanted to do it because my grandad is a farmer and uses it all the time!
Haha! Same, the noises my neighbors have to deal with coming from my flat as I learn these things is top tier
I learned it in 3 days max, one my school friend taught me, and I only used to practice in recess time, and one day me & my cousin did a small challenge on our terrace, to see who can whistle the loudest, and we turned on many lights in the neighborhood.

Thank you for this. I needed a way to call my dog at a distance and so decided to try and learn this. After a week of trying, I was pointed toward your video and instantly made an improvement. Now to practice!
My hat goes off to this dude for his persistance cause I tried to learn to whistle like that all my life and I could never get it right 😫
Love you tom I ve been watching for w hile and you have grown very big hope you continue growing bigger and reach a million .
Thanks so much, stoked you’re still sticking around 👊
I always loved this guys videos, Keep it up!
You’re a real one 👊
Love your content❤ keep growing❤
Love your comments, keep them coming ❤️
Thx for new skills. Great work.
Cheers bud
You are really talented man, u can learn anything 👍
That’s the thing, I’m not talented! I’ll talk about that in a future video
@@TommoCarrollI'm waiting for that
I think it's actually insulting to call someone talented, when that person acquired that skill by working hard.
Thank you for clear, pleasant instructions and information.
Thank you so much for the help I've never been able to whistle my mom has been able to do it for years and this is my first time being able to do it because of your video I have seen hundreds of videos on how to do it none of them have worked but yours has
😂 I’m just on a whistle binge right now. I don’t know all the names for them, but just learned a two-handed “wild whistle” (or so the tutorial called it), and now I’m trying this. Preparing for another week of fruitless practice and lightheadedness until I get it. 🤣
Fun fact: This is an actual language
Northern Mountains of Turkey, whistling is the language, more less a dead language, they also speak Turkish as well
Super nice video man !!!😆
Now, I am become Whistler. Destroyer of hearing.
The power of the whistle is too much for Oppenheimer
bro you look like a vampire
Ooh that’s awesome Tommo great job 🎉
Thanks Zoid!
@@TommoCarroll anytime tommo!
you are a genious man i appreciate you for this video
Impressive stuff! Just remember that with great power comes great responsibility!
NO RESPONSIBILITY
if i ever learn to do this im going to do it inside someone's ears and say "yo it's just a prank."
@@RandomContent-tn9qebuddy i had could make your ear ring for minutes after wards outside. Then this fool did it to us inside a damn car windows up. Not fun
Love your videos mate
Love your comments more ❤️
You can also a do a similar loud whistle hands free (not the regular round lip whistle). Can be really loud as well. Basically the one Dr. Cox does.
You need to watch til the end ;)
I never managed to find the spot to do this, but while trying, I learned to do it without the fingers. Basically I fold my tongue against my upper lip, and I guess the air flows through a gap in the middle. Glad I learned it that way, then I never have to put my dirty fingers in my mouth, and it's also hands free.
Which app did you use to know your voice damage rate
And thanks for the technique i really like to whistle and wanted to learn a new one and finally got it because of you 👍
👌🏻 "Got em" had me dying 🤣
Well done 👍
Thankkkks
Give riggy a raise
That was so well explained!
1 volume and still could hear the wissle
thank you for teaching me to finger whistle in 1 minute
Blud really doesn't like his old haircut 💀
"THIS!" This is the only video that worked!
I watched literally about 10 videos and wasted about 2 hours of watching those (including repeating shorts) and this video is the only one that i need. Thank you
time to uninstall Uber and just whistle dem cabs
Get boujee, forget the apps!
I swear after i heard your explanation i did it in about 2 seconds
I couldn't do it for years before this
So thank you from the bottom of my heart
Thanks. just watched this video and tried it out got a good loud noise unfortunately its about 4.30am in the uk right and i live with other people and there not very happy with me right now.
Thank you, I got my initial two hand whistle down in like 5 minutes
I like the haircut bro
I got mine to dangerous for sure. My ears would ring in a classroom.
Thanks to this video I mastered one hand whistle within seconds
Thanks alot
Hell yes! Did the lip flop work for you???
@@TommoCarroll yes yes yes
I think his neighbors are wondering what he's doing
i'm as loud as a helicopter
The dream 🥲
@@TommoCarroll?
Hes obviously dreaming about being as loud as yoy@oliver_6000
this so useful video if you having problems with whistling
*New skill unlocked: deafening whisle*
The most powerful skill
5:57 this is clearly a reference of Rock Paper Scissors 2 from Corridor Digital.😂
How hard was it not to invest stupid amount of time to make your own anime filter just for this joke?😅
If not really at least it crossed your mind.
Haha! It DEFINITELY crossed my mind! 100% why I went with that exact sound effect haha
Try to learn juggling
My science teacher can whistle dangerously loud, I’m surprised I’m not deaf yet.
lol just figured out one handed whistle from the vid thanks.
On my watch I checked how loud my scream was and it was 123 decibels and I’m proud
bro what i have never been able to whistle loud and after the explanation at 5:08 i could do it after a minute of trying thank you bro i have always wanted to do this.
Best kind of comment to get! Stoked for you brother 💪 Watch out for your ears though ay?
I learned these whistles with you Mann👋🕺
Yes! 👊
GOT EM
Oh!!! I've been trying for years!!! That tweak you just discovered from the mirror, I tried it once AND I WHISTLED!!!!!! AWESOME!!! THANK YOU!!!
fingerless whistle next!!
the db scale had so many typos lol
Oh my god, I’m actually dumb af
I stared at that scale 1000 times and my brain did clock Jey engine ONCE
💀
I have been trying this . And I got it with the one handed 😊 thank you now it's time to practice and get shrillness down pat
Dude try the hand whistle. Its basically the same thing as what you did with the bottle, but obviously youll be using just your hands. The initial sound is like a train, but you can progress to the point where it sounds like a bird call!
wow I actually got it first try after that great explanation!
I can whistle extremely loud with a piece of plastic.
My preferred piece of plastic is tearing the label off of a cheap water bottle and using the label to whistle.
1 pro tip that could save ur life is"pls dont swallow ur tongue in the process"
BRO YOU ARE THE BEST TEACHER I LEARNED IT FROM WATCHING THIS VIDEO WITH 0 EXPERIENCE
Halfway through the video i learned how to A-whistle! Thanks haha
Great to hear it!
I learned this when I was a kid playing soccer, never did the flipped back tongue thing? I always used the tip of my tongue on the bottom of the end where my fingers meet and it's a lot less controllable but it definitely was insanely loud (it makes your ears ring pretty bad) But I couldn't do it for years because at some point I went through a phase and I had these snakebite piercings.
But yeah I totally want to learn dr. Cox his hands-free whistle
i got the 2 hand whistle within 15 minutes just a couple hours ago from seeing a yt videos and learning how to do that so quickly and esaily made my day (im gunna start whistling at school and make ppl go def.)
Learning to appreciate others is also a skill to appreciate
I remember my Dad using this whistle when I was younger and it was seriously deafening... One of those sounds that makes you lose hearing for a little while.
Here's a bit of auditory science. It has been proven that the loudest tones travel to the side of your mouth when whistling or singing. If you turn you head 45 degrees to the microphone and stand the same distance away both behind and to the side of the phone you should get aa louder result. (This comes from years of singing on stage and in choirs.)
My friend could do it so i learned it, it helps in the mirror and only took me about 10 minutes.
you and your channel are really good
You and your comments are even better! Much love ❤️
These whistles are pretty cool and may be dangerously loud.
I have learned and had been able to do a whistle that needs one hand where you fold your lower lips and blow in. If you have a little hole between your lips big and small enough it should make a pretty high pitched whistle that is VERY loud.
I just freaking learn from half of this video no cap, an advice don’t try to hard just chill fr bro sheeesh
Dude dats nice
one time a classmate made this into my ear and i didnt know it made ear damage i couldnt hear very well on that ear for the past 3 days
Thanks to my friend who taught me i learned to 1 hand whistle in a day
Someone may have mentioned it before, but those apps aren't very accurate, tbh, if your whistle got to 90Db that's really really loud. So while they suck at actually measuring the DB, it can give you a bit of scale.
"How I attempted to wistle loudly and ended up just going light headed and passing out"
i started the video and after a few mins i realized i can do it already with one hand lol. thx
Dr. Cox had the BEST whistle on the Earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YES. Can’t wait to reach his level 🥲
Bro u dont wanna hear my whistle for 15 seconds😆😆😆
Thanks to my friend who taught me i learned to 1 hand whistle in 3 days
so i learned to finger whistle with my fingers without your help i practiced every day and did it then i learned to do it with middle fingers (currently learning the cap/ok sign whistle)
I can without fingers. I think it is the same technique with the 4 fingers( the position of the tongue) but without fingers
“Some sort of ball in some sort of net” 💀
when i tried whistling I just spit saliva out
Fun Fact I learned this skill in 5 days
Good job!
@@TommoCarroll THANKS XD
One hair cut later looked like Paul Walker
bro so I've been trying for years this is on my bucket list I got to 9:22 and tried the two finger jawnt and got a little sound ... this video is a gem. thankyou
“Ah shit” I love it 😂
Hey bro pls what is the app name for
whisle
I really feel bad for all your neighbors who were going crazy trying to finger out where that whistle was coming from. Lol
next try to learn the very loud no hand whistle i can do it
After this video, I started making progress!
There’s another whistle method that is way louder than both of those whistles combined but i forgot what it was called
This is helping me.
I was doing the same last night. My friend was teaching me 😅
You’ve got a good friend!
Now you gotta learn those whistle languages that use to speak in mountains.
one hand whistle is easier than 2 hand :D
